This one has been in the back of my mind since I got my rhodium 2 years ago and the first thing I did was flash hSPL. In trying to find the correct model number for my device I looked under the battery and there I found the model number; RHOD100. OK, cool, I thought. I'm all set now....
But, hold the phone! When I booted into bootloader mode here is what I saw:
Security Unlocked
RHOD*** 32M SS-BC
SPL-0.85.Olinex
MicroP(LED) 0x0A
MicroP(KEY) 0x04
TURBO HW/TURBO SW
TP MFG DATA
502,532 787,863
786,193 219,196
220,872 Calibrated
(Well, that is not exactly what I saw at the time, that is as it appears now... had a different SPL back then)
It doesn't show the model number at all! But I just soldiered on, held my breath, and started flashing and had no problems operating under the premise that I have a RHOD100, and have still had no problems to this day.
I have searched for anyone with the same but found nothing(except for a lot of threads telling people how to find their model number: "In bootloader look at the line with RHODXXX where XXX is a number(ie 100). That is your model." but for me that XXX is pretty much what I see!)
I just want to know, to satisfy my own insatiable curiousity:
Do any other Rhodium users see a similar model in their bootloader screen?
Can anyone explain to me why I have these ***'s where the model # should be?
Any ideas at all??
Thanks for reading, I appreciate ANY responses, and like I say this is not a big deal since EVERYTHING has and is working fine for me as a RHOD100. I am just curious!

Vodafone UK (factory unlocked) RHOD100. Euro 3G (GSM) model. Running Jackos S3 WWE (WM6.5) for what it's worth. Probably well overdue an OS update.

I find this fone in the BlueAngel list(http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blueangel).
I wanna buy it on ebay, but the seller says it is locked to Voda UK.Anyone can tell me is it able to be unlocked by the tools?
Cheers!
Well, a seach revealed this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=24779&start=0
and in there it states -
model numbers supported:
himalaya: PH10A PH10B
alpine: PH10C PH10D
magician: PM10A PM10B PM10C
blueangel: PH20B, PH20B1, ...
so, i'd have to say it is possible to unlock, and that the search button is useful.

Hi heliosfa, thanks a lot for your replying,
but how do i know whether this model is included in the unlocking tool list?I used to ask the seller and told him to check it for me,but no answer...is there somewhere else to check it out?I checked HTC and Vodafone home base, but,no details...
really, there is no way to know which model. BUT, if there are more than 2 models of BlueAngel out there, then it would be known about by these guys, and the unlocker mwould support it, so one can only assume that the blue angel you are buying is either PH20B or PH20B1.
Manufacturers certainly will not know which model, as they are likely to have sold all types to the operators, and vodafone will not know either.
Hi,I found the model in a page that this phone is PH20B2 and some guys really made it unlocked with this tool.
Thank you very much for your time and replying

Hi, hello there!
I live in Brazil and as you might already know, there is a HTC phone here named P4351.
(I supposed it is also known as Atlas, anyway, picture here:

}
)
Anyway, I have been researching the internet for something like 2 months already every day, at least 1 hour a day, trying to (sim) unlock this phone. As far as I know, this is a model that has been released only here in Brazil, but it is Similar to Herald (a.k.a Wing [I guess ]). People around here charge around U$ 90 to unlock it, and believe me, this IS expensive around here.
So, I tried many sites and also some unlocking services from internacional companies, but none of them worked. Finally, I decided to flash my phone with a Herald Rom (since they are interchangeable (so have I read around)) and check if it is possible to unlock it. Would that be possible? If so, how? HardSPL or SoftSPL?
Thanks you all in advance.

Welcome to the forum
Please READ here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/
Locate your device and I´m sure you´ll find the way to unlock it
Good luck,
Ok, I look all over it and did not find a way to unlock it. Can someone point me the path to do it or answer my question?

Actually it is there, it says sim unlock is still under development.
Hard to unlock
I am into the same situation.
I have the same device and live in Brazil too.
Here people charge expensive to unlock this device.
I tried lot of methods but nothing seems to work for Herald.
If the ROM update would unlock it, I would have courage to do!
i wanted to reflash the original roms from HTC i got my diamond not even a month ago but i relized that i just like it at original so i went to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=413910 to get one but then i relized i have no clue wat kind of diamond i have lol all i remember is that i had a WWE and a 1.93, i have 2 pictures of my sticker thingy if someone could tell me another way to find out.

sry pictures taken with ****ty xperia x1
You might want to remove those pictures immediately - IMEI and Serial # should be kept private for many reasons - Do not share with anyone this information.
k ty i actually forgot
I didn't even know that there was more then one kind of HTC Touch Diamond. I thought they were the same - OH Wait there is the 3G Diamond and CDMA Diamond though. 3G has SIM Card and CDMA does not
Solved.....called HTC with IMEI and they told me its from Thailand! lol wtf well anyway so now my problem is finding a original HTC rom for Thailand should i download the Asia version ?
I really don't think that that should matter - but if you want English language make sure it is WWE - World Wide English -
If you are already flashing custom cooked ROMS- you should be able to flash a different custom ROM that may be more to your liking.
I have heard of people looking to change the language of their devices and therefore looked for different official ROM to flash - Don't know if they were successful or had problems afterwards.
Perhaps you should PM Tom Codon - since he posted all of those ROM's there. Also make sure you read throught that whole thread you linked to to see what others had to say about flashing the ROM's
i believe there is no difference in diamonds - except they are branded to a telco provider !
ie. o2 xda diamond aka htc diamond is a DIAM300 model.
ie. unbranded htc diamond is a DIAM100
you can check this easily when you enter the "three color screen" - there it is written right at the top of the screen
in other words. hardspl your device . security unlock if you want to .. and flash whatever rom you like
tons of stockroms in different langanges from 1.37 through 1.93 and 2.03 can be found here at xda-devs
good day

I am debating on flashing these new radios. I have a question I'm hoping someone can answer. After reading the very helpful post by michianamcr it appears I have 4.0.1 radios from my information above. However, I'm confused why my about phone shows hw version 9 but my bootloader shows hw version 8. Can anyone explain this mismatch of information on my phone?
So...you are on 4.0.1 radios and 4.0.1 bootloader, using 4.0.3 software.
I think you uh...missed a version in there

I appreciate you chiming in to give me a hard time instead of answering my actual question. But I knew this would be coming when I posted my information.

I wasn't giving you a hard time. I was explaining you missed a software update, and in turn radios and bootloader update ending up in the contradicting versions.
Now you are right though. I won't help you.

I'm sure it probably doesn't matter now, but I would like to apologize. People have just always told me that xda is a rough crowd so I immediately took offense to your comment. My bad.
Don't sweat it.
Upgrade your radios and bootloader to 4.0.2 and you will match again. The leaked ota will check for those as well if you chose to install it. Same with the radios/patches I separated.
Good luck.
thank you very much for your advice.
Hi, I don't know how but one day i was using my phone and it got stuck and turned off and its been a year now it never turned on. It is hard bricked i guess. It never surpasses the Samsung s4 mini logo. I can get into download mode and recovery mode. I have cwm recovery installed in it. I tried to install if i remember correctly 3 or 4 different stock roms but they don't work. I dont know where the problem is.. It used to work fine. I used to have cm12 on it and use it as a normal phone just without sim access. Thing is I dont know where it is from so I cant decide which firmware to install. On the back of the phone under the battery it says i9195xgsmh but i can't seem to find anything or any firmware related to it. I don't know what to do. Any help will be appreciated.
I made this post in the general forum but someone suggested that I should ask here too, I hope you guys can help me!
@hammadneto
Remove the battery and look at the IMEI number. If you get the 7th and 8th number, you can tell the region(s) it is from. Have a look at this site. Match the number and try flashing a stock rom from there

So when you remove the battery, there is a Samsung sticker on the device(in the battery cavity), that has a barcode near the bottom? Just above and below that barcode there should be a S/N number and IMEI number. From what I can tell, every samsung phone has this.....
