Mine is not too bad. 78% after about 8 hours of usage, standby. I'm at work, so barely used the phone today.
Ah my battery life increased too. Glad to see Google fixing some problems ICS had.

I know it isn't a complete ROM yet, but my battery life drops about 1% every 30 seconds with the screen on, and 1% every 2 minutes with the screen off. A lot of people are saying that their battery improved, however mine is a lot worse. Does anyone have any battery saving tips for AOKP? If so, thanks.

Sorry for the nooby question...but is a modem the same thing as a radio? Lol i tend to stay away from flashing radios and stuff like that because there's alot of people complaining about bricking their devices. Thanks for the help
Not sure how people are bricking there devices just by flashing a radio...but ya ey are the same thing.

Ok yea i dont know...i thought i remembered that happening somewhere but i guess not...anyway ill try that in a bit thanks!
To me you would think you just wouldn't have any service if you just flashed a radio that is different but it's just like flashing a rom like galaxy note rom on our device. It wouldn't play nice it isn't compatible so there for its a hard brick then you got yourself a nice looking paperweight lol

Nothing special...no JD, all on 4g, sync is always on, and on stock battery. I have another stock battery the gnex extended on standby. I use an external battery charger and just rotate my batteries. That I believe has helped me.

Exactly, Those stats dont post the actual usage in any meaningful form. If it really wanted to give real info it would tell you how much cpu time those processes used.
Hi
Right now i have jelly belly with franco kernel build 17. But i get like 8hours of battery. Under clock to 700Mgz, undervolt, low brightes, and no data. So any help with this will be apreciated.
Ps: i use a battery saving app DX-Battery saver

Download CPU spy... and see if the phone is sleeping properly
Sent from my sprint galaxy nexus
It is. I only text in it. Most of the time its on deep sleep
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Probably have a wakelock issue. And underclocking that far can actually cost you more battery because your phone stays awake so long completing tasks rather than sleeping.
Also, battery saver apps suck.
My friend told me that so i went to 1.5

Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
you should probably just let your friend do research and find his own custom rom. So much can go wrong when modding a 3rd partys phone when the person flashing doesnt even know what they are looking for. My advice, just leave it stock. To get better battery life you have to make the phone do less.
Ive been there, with that phone call at 2am "how do I fix my phone, its acting weird?"

Same issue here. Gnex gsm, running stock yakju 4.2.1 (rooted), exept in my case Google Services is eating more than 50%, and screen ~25-30% .
Can't find anything about it, only people complaining of the same issue :crying:
Yay I just reached 4 hours at 38 percent!! The days not anywhere near over. Anyone know why my battery life sucks so bad?
