Is there a widget that allows multiple cities which you can scroll through on on the widget and not have to go into the app to change cities?
I don't like having to click multiple times just to change a city to see what the temperature is like there.
there should be one built into tw it's one of the tw widget but it only allows 2 cities
I'm fond of weather eye. Once you set up all the cities you'd like all you have to do is click the top bar to choose between them from a drop down menu. If you're fond of widgets you can even have several 1x1 widgets each displaying a different area, different color schemes, and etc.

Thanks I'll try that next, one of the other ones didn't have some of the cities I needed.
Go weather does. You can change cities directly from the widget

1weather is the best I've used. Gorgeous interface and you can add a nice customizable widget per city.
I have my home city as a widget all the time but when I travel intl I add the other city Widgets.
I can't think of anything they could add to this to make it better.

The default accuweather app lets you look at hourly weather of a location, but you have to click 3 times and scroll 1 time to get to it. the weather channel app is a lot better and just one click and you can get to hourly weather. but the widget is SO low res and UGLY
i've downloaded like a bajillion weather widgets and none of them gets me what i want. does anyone know of a good weather app?

weatherbug seems to have what i want, but the fonts does not display right. the margins are off so i cant see the actual temp by the hour.
weathereye doesn't let me 'confirm' the city i entered. there's only a clear button and a (X) button. cant use it? pressing enter does not do anything.
thanks for helping...
i found it! the exact app i want
it's call the palmary weather app. it has a widget too!
I'm currently using wp clock for my homescreen clock. Previously I used fancy widgets which allowed me to map the weather icon to weatherbug, and the battery percentage to settings. Because wp clock is a live wallpaper and not a widget, I can no longer do this.
Is there an app out there that would allow me to assign an invisible area in the 2 corners for functions like weather and settings?

the closest thing that I can think of is circle launcher. you can configure each individual widget to only have one icon/app plus you can make the circle widget completely transparent.
an alternative would be to use a 3rd party launcher (ie apex or nova) that allows you to change icons for any given homescreen icon. than just use a transparent icon or pic.

I'm already using apex, I may try your custom icon idea. Would be nice to be able to resize area to 2x2 though.

use desktop visualizer and add a 2x2 widget...then use a transparent/blank icon
That worked beautifully, thanks!

Would be cool to see moving sun rays or rain falling from a weather widget.
I'm curious about this too...
My HTC One X had an awesome weather widget... one of the many things I miss about that phone.
Bump.
I want to know this too

Beautiful Widgets has animated weather when you tap on the widget. What I think the OP wants is the actual home screen widget to be animated.

Bingo.

Beautiful Widgets also has an animated wallpaper that changes with the weather and time of day. Battery friendly too. For the weather (or clock) you can select from hundreds of themes.

Seen this on android central feed, I like it a lot but my only gripe is the fact that the stock LS collapses it. I would love if it can stay "open" all the time instead of having to swipe down to see missed calls or texts. And the damn settings button always shows as well.

Works very well, i like it.
May be more options will be included in the next upgrades.
i'm using it as well, you should try battery ext from play store.

Good question.

It uses Yahoo Weather, as stated, and apart from adding the extension it should just pick up your location. I didn't have to manually add it. Whether it is done by GPS or Mobile Network location, it just seemed to take for me.

This used to happen to me . Then i disabled the option to use home screen widgets in lock screen from my custom rom menu.
But now there is a new version from this app, that allows your homescreen widget to have full transparent background.
Yes i just updated recently, now how can i resize the overall icons and texts? They're so big... and i have to slide down to see the rest of the notifications.

I wish there was support for Whatsapp too.
Also,
I hate having to manually expand the widget when it's set to default.

There is one. Search for dashclock extensions on the play store.
I love the widget. Its fantastic. The only issue I've had is refresh time. I don't know if its there app or what, but I had a missed call yesterday morning. Even though I cleared the notification and even called them back it never went away from the widget. Hope he fixes it soon

Did you have a solution for this issue ? My LockScreen also take 2/3 from the Screen, so i cant see the full DashClock
Unless you have some sort of Lockscreen control built into the ROM, and enabled maximize lockscreen widgets or however it's worded, then there doesn't seem to be a way to force it to max size. Unless someone has found another method, which I am eagerly looking for.
I'm loving this, but the weather doesnt seem to show for me. Even tried defining a location in the default clock to see if it was connnected.
looks nice...

I'm new but not really new to xda. Was wondering if any of the brilliant minds are working on making the stock JVB weather widget transparent or other options like fancy widgets does. Tried using the fancy widgets app but dosent work well on my phone since jumping from OGEVO to LGOG. Thanks in advance. And great work guys.

Another suggestion is the WeatherBug app. The widgets it comes with are nice. They can be clear too.
I usually just stick my head out of the window while driving.
Admittedly, this does not forecast the weather for me all that well, but I'm a live in the moment kind of guy.
In all seriousness though, Eye In The Sky has been my favorite weather widget to date.
