Hi,
I recently rooted my HTC One X (China version) and I've tried almost everything to try and get Google Play Store to work.
I've installed droidvpn, marketenabler and used them together only to find that my google play store doesn't even open.
I've tried to push the apk to the system/apps folder using root explorer but I keep getting a parsing error after trying to install it.
However, I noticed that whenever I install the apk, there isn't a .odex file.
On a side note, I would prefer to keep my phone stock in terms of ROMS but am willing to try out a ROM if it means I get access to the play store.
Thank you
Did u flash the gapps

I've been googling about how to get the market in the CM7 rom for about two weeks , first I downloaded the market as a normal app , just got the apk and it doesn't work , then I read about that "gapps" package that I've flashed and no market appeared , I've just got three aditional applications : google search / car home / news and weather.
Looking for help getting thr market , thanks in advance.

Here you go. The newes Android Market. Just install the apk file on your phone.
You can complain about the absence of market after doing two things.
One is flashing the universal Google apps package for cm7 from recovery. And the second is signing into Google account on your phone. I hope you have done both.
And simply flashing the apk file may not install the market when there is no market on phone.
You can also check with a file manager whether or not there is "vending.apk" in the path "system/app".

That issue is up to ROM cooker.
They signed ALL apks even Gapps. I
You have to sign every update(download apk saperately, not in market) if you just followed as ROM cooker as provides.
read this to uninstall those and reinstall/flash from correct ones. And get flashable gapps from goo.im or somewhere else. you can avoid this after flashing new rom by flashing correct gapps

That happens sometimes .. If your using inverted gapps it won't update. Do like above and flash a different gapps package.

If u have Titanium Backup just uninstall Google search n download from market

I'm pretty sure it is because your GNow.apk is signed. When this happens to me on my devices, I usually go to Settings>Apps>All>GoogleSearch>Uninstall Updates. Then go into the market and it should be there for you and ready to update correctly. If you have inverted like someone suggested above, it won't update unless you do what I said above. Also once it updates, it will no longer be inverted.
Also moved to Q&A
I'm loving this rom, very smooth and stable.
However I'd like to update my youtube to the newest version, but i get the error that the package is not signed correctly and ask to remove the previous version
There are no option to remove youtube, but disable instead.
Is there a way to update?

You can try to install the apk file (HERE)
Or you can uninstall Youtube with a root uninstaller or with Titanium Backup then you install the apk file or download from Play Store.
Just after posting this question, I did one more search on the forum and most of treads orients to remove the youtube.apk
As my note 2 is rooted, I deleted the apk from /system/app. After that I tried to install from google play and got an different error.
So I restarted the device and then It could be installed from google play.
So I had no chance to test your link. But thank you anyway.
If someone is facing the same problem I was, try downloading the apk Primokorn posted and tell us your results.

I bought a Chinese M8, which comes without gApps. I tried to sideload AOSP apps, but that obviously didn't work.
Is there a way to sideload gApps onto my phone? It's stock Sense...
Thanks!

why don't you just get the apps from Play Store?
Because my phone came without Play Store. Phones here come without any Google related software...

Search for "Google Installer" and try that.
Can't attach the file as I'm on mobile

here's the play store app. it needs to go into your data/app folder. check permissions (rw-r-r I think) and reboot.

This won't work,he needs gapps... Why don't you flash a different rom? I'm guessing it's the same phone as the rest of us, just with a different software?
Yes, that's what I thought, too. And I guess it is. I'm struggling with S-OFF at the moment. For some reason adb only finds my device to be offline (didn't find a solution for that yet) and Sunshine simply says it can't do my phone yet, for whatever reason.... I was hoping to find a google package for sense roms, but out of luck on that one up until now. *sigh*
I tried various methods of installing now including @ckpv5 's 'Google Installer'. All have in common, that a) either nothing happens or b) the "setup wizard" crashes.
I made sure the framework etc is installed.
Does anyone know of a package, that includes the gApps, that are included with the international software of Sense?
Thanks

Hmm I see. I'm on twrp. Gms installer starts and installs the files using twrp, but they just aren't there when I reboot. Do I have to be s-off for that?

Hi, I was wondering if you have any solution for gmsinstaller or some alternative apk like GMSInstaller after update to lollipop 5.0.2, I used to have Google on my HTC One M8Sw China Unicom - double sim - via GMSInstaller apk but after the update, I receive an error message every +/- 20 minutes "Unknown issue with Google Play seavices" and gmail app closes. Now I have Play store but all google apps has some errors. Any help will be fine. Thank you.
