I am using the latest version of Google Earth which i downloaded from Play store just because of the 3D building i saw in my fren's G Note. But unfortunately, i cant view the 3D building in the app. And i found that there is no 3D building option to tick at the Layers setting..That's realy too bad.. :crying:
Can anyone help please..your comment are most appreciated..thanks in advance.
No 3D buildings in HTC One V
Check Google site for Earth Mobile, at the bottom, read "Note: Not all features are available on all devices. ..." Follow the Help Center link, you will read:
"Device must have dual-core processors for 3D buildings to appear in the list of layers."
No love for single-core HTC One V. Sorry.

What game is it? How do you play this?
Never heard about such thing
I try explain my game but I'm not native English speaker... Principal game rules are simple. You need draw line by 5 adjacent points. On start it not possible so game rules allow add 1 new point for create line. You have some default set points on start, their number increases with the progress of the game. There is also bonus mode in game - you can store points for future use if you draw line by 5 existing points.
Idea is not new. Before computer times I play this game on boring lessons in school using only paper and pen. But i was not happy - I could not restore my best games, so I create computer version of that game - now I can save games, undo moves, reviews games, found hidden moves e.t.c.
Unique value of that game is that you can play just for fun drawing lines or can play in ambitious style and try get best score.
Peoples don't know my game because is unique in Internet - so many sudokus sokobans and other games for single players but no one has coded my favourite game. So try my game and give me opinion here, might you like it.
Thanks for this, I used to play your java version, but for some reason it stopped working on my hd 2, this works great!
thanks for releasing this as a stand alone cab file
I'm so happy that xda promoting my freeware software At last in win-mo you have nice icon. j2me is not bad language - very strict rules so code are runing fast even on old phones. This is framework version - is fast on fast devices. In j2me I was have trouble programming auto-player, I think you will be like this feature. And in this version at last I got idea how coding bonus mode and doing this!
Whats funny is that I lost my Phone in November, last year, used t oplay your game all teh time. Switched to Android for a while, hated it, came back to WM, flashed an NRG ROM, but was missing your game. Took me a while to find the Java Version, actually found a copy last week, but couldn't get it to work with the Java version I have on this phone. Was quite upset, and just about gave up, until today, that is, when I saw a Tweet about it, on my phone, and imediatly installed it. Still haven't figured out what Bonus mode does, or how it differs from what I am used to. Keep up the good work, and again, I am glad I can play this game again on my HD2. Maybe you can do an animatted GIF to show how this works, I am not getting it from the explination on your web site
The only thing i will say, is that on the HD2, it is a little hard to get the dots sometimes, even after increasing the screen size a bit, so sometimes it takes two or three taps to hit the dot I want. No way around this though, as the HD2 has no stylis. It still works fine, however, and if I am really lazy, I can just cycle through the hints until I find the line I intended, or see another line of interest, that I may have missed.
I will add, you should throw up a donation link, in your sig, or add it to the first post, as some people may want to donate a little token of apreciation...
For those who need an understanding on how to play, I ripped this of your web site:
Maybe you need calibrate screen on HD 2 if you have trouble select point? After adding demonstration game and simple help I think that this gif is no big useful but still OK. Read help and you learn what is bonus mode. Or often use hint and in medium game you can see "can store!" - This is bonus feature. With bonus mode You can get much better score eg my is 135! Or just disable bonus in config and play classic mode like in 2.2 In bonus mode strategy has changed - less thinking how to effectively draw lines - more thinking how get and use precious stored points.
2010-08-08: New 2.4 version released - worth redownload!

Hey everyone
Saw a few people were looking for a patched version of the ScanSearch application that ships with LG phones (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=912217). I popped open reflector and modified it enough that it now launches on my non LG device.
[LINK]
@mods: if you want me to take the link down, please edit this out. PM me if the link disappears
Cheers
Oh, just so you know, you will have to use this tool to install it. You will need to tick the "Replace assembly signatures" and "Remove DRM" options for it to work correctly.
now thats a great app, thanks

All apps I have tested yesterday on my OMNIA 7.
Deploy them with Xap Deployer V1.4 and mark the checkboxes...
Can you patch Panorama Shot too?
hm, it always direcing to east is bad..but otherwise its a great app...perhaps you can fix the issue of it always facing east?
Yes in scan search, compass does not work on hd2 hd7. stays in one direction.
Should be possible to make some kind of bridge that intercepts the calls to the non-existent LG driver and return it meaningful compass data, right? I don't quite have the knowledge to do it myself, but if you can mess with it enough so that it doesn't check if it's on an LG phone, it should be possible to direct it at a different DLL...
I don't get it, it's missing all the features but one.
The app can also scan CDs, books, movie posters, bar codes, etc. and none of that is here. It should have a list of icons on the left hand side to toggle between these, yet when installed on HD7 and Focus, it's all gone (I have LG Quantum too, so I can compare).

This functionality might have been implemented in an update? The only XAP I got to patch was the v1.0.0.0 ripped from the ROM. If you have a newer XAP, and post it, I'll be all to happy to update my site and post.
Strike that, I did patch the latest version. Will look into it.
Patched it, download from the same URL as before. It was a carrier check, meaning that only certain US Carriers could access those features. Now granted all devices the same supportedFeatures value.
If someone has a way of getting the orientation of other devices, I'm happy to give it a go, see if I can tweak it to a degree.
doesnt work, additional features are still not available for barcodes etc.
won't install on my focus
There's a Samsung Compass Homebrew library out there, which might be usable for this app with a bit of hacking. I've never tried it, though. Download the source for the "Functional Webserver" and it's in there.
as there is a htc compass app out now there, too.
someone interested in making a scansearch app with support for all devices?
ScanSearch is nice... Panorama shot is man oh man... so much better. I would say of the bunch its is the best... Also I get a manifest error...

yeah panorama shot is awesome app
why is none else able to code such thing...
wheres the files?
Works on my Dell Venue Pro....
Thanks : D
Edit: it loads, but it lok like it hasn't got access to the compass, because moving the phone does not move the compass in the scansearch app...
So I have this idea, I hope someone in HTC can do this (Ideally this should be done by all manufacturers)
1. App is submitted in Play Store - Google adds it
2. App is quality checked by HTC for each HTC device before it shows up in say HTC one X play store. Same done by Sammy and others
3. If any problem HTC refuses the app into the Play Store for HTC one X / or for any HTC device, till the developer fixes the problem
4. Plz HTC implement it
Why should they do it ? Because we give them money and they should place quality control over the apps so we get the best experience (smooth, takes advantage of hardware as per each device, end spam)
Edit. I still stick to my point that brand that loose value due to hiccups of apps is the open handset alliance. Google will come out the winner in the end because their handsets are developer handsets thus the apps will always run smoothly on them.
I think the open handset alliance should take an active part in screening for quality of app.
Good idea, but impossible in the long run. There are far too many apps to make this anywhere near workable.
LoL
You serious? Every app has several versions and there are like tons of htc models out there. Even if we don't count custom firmware it is a impossible task..
And this not even a petition.. you are just a lazy bum hoping someone will do the job for you. So if you cant even find the effort for testing out apps... Then just use the standard apps
Grtz

My favorite statement in this case: buy an iPhone . Or at least a windows phone.
Google gave so much free space to manufacturers, that it impossible, neither in long, nor in short run.
The only way for HTC, is to create own analogue of store with games best passing for your device (apps compatibility is already very good). Like nvidia did.

My question is, what does HTC get for doing this?
Why do you even want HTC to do this? Apps in the market are by default supported by all phones that pass Google's CTS tests anyway, and all OHA member companies' phones must pass that test before being given the green light by Google to be released.
Do you want them to bankrupt faster?
It is nowhere near being possible.
and I must say I find your approach very very unhealty!
you can not ask for anything from anyone just because u pay them.
HTC is a phone manufacturer and does not promise you anything about any android application.
even if we try to take this approach seriously, HTC is putting sense on top of android which gives us HTC's own way of using your android device, with their own apps in some way. that is what you pay them for.
It's not HTC's job to check the quality of APPs in the Play Store.
This is like saying HP should be checking software is compatible for thier PCs running Windows.
(The software developer or Microsoft should be checking in that case - not HP)
APPs should be either checked by Google (who run the Play Store and Android) or by the developer of the APP itself.
HTC are a hardware manufacturer, not an APP developer....
the public do this already.
Just be careful what you download, pick apps with many downloads and/or many high ratings.
PLEASE NOT!
This wouldn't be a good idea ... Just think about how long it takes to put Sense 4.5 on top of Jelly Bean release. Quality checking apps by manufactures would definitely be a step in the wrong direction.
It would be better when HTC releases a plain Android (asop) version for the HOX.
complete useless and rubbish imo
no way, small company dont care end user
Maybe if you say
"Pretty please with a cherry on top"
They might just do it xD
What a ridiculous suggestion. Let them concentrate on producing great hardware and software.

What does this have to do with caring about the end user?
Nothing at all.
Still I would argue that if apple can ensure that all apps use the hardware why can't the open handset alliance do the same in assisting google in screening apps. As to why I made the thread I recently downloaded drag racing and immediately I had a notification full of ads which I don't mind however I uninstalled it and now the ads pop up on the screen whenever I switch on WiFi.
HTC and other manufacturers including Samsung need to step up if they want better quality apps for the end user. I would like to play a gameloft game without having to add a mod , changing kernels etc
Just my opinion and yes someone commented of me being lazy .... Yes its a public holiday here so nothing better to do other than making a thread.
No
Hell no!
Play Store is completely Google's thing, plus I don't want HTC fooling around with the way the Play Store works, AT ALL. Google's trying to make the Play Store a cleaner place I believe.

Then rate the app with one star and write a comment. That way you'll help all the others that consider downloading it and hint the developer that the app needs improvement. And vice versa - look at the ratings and comments of others before installing an app. Play Store is for people that can decide for themselves if they want the app or not. Anyone wanting to live in a walled garden and put his/her trust in someone else to not allow "bad" apps (basically those that hurt that someone's interests) should go with iOS.

Hello poeple of the internet, my name is Alex and I just bought an Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1.I was so happy when I bought it but now I`am a bit upset, because I can't run on this device ''cool'' games like Batman, Real Racing 3, Asphalt ( any version), Need for Speed Most Wanted, and other stuff like this. I am able to install the app, but when I'm openning it it says (name app) has stopped. What would be the reason ? and in NFS MW It is a huge lag, in the home screen, after touching the screen , It simply crashes somehow. The sound is broken , and I can`t even go to settings or back to the Samsung Home Screen, only by holding the ON button at the top of the device.
Please tell me why It this happening to me? And how can I fix this!
P.S : the device has only 3 days.
Hi !
I think this may have something to do with the 'special' specs of our device
It has an x86 CPU (similar to the ones used in PCs) and a PowerVr SGX 544MP2 GPU and that may present a problem to some of the games as out tab is somewhat different
I'm not very sure of anything that i've said above (it is what I think is wrong) and therefore if someone smarter than me comments please follow their advice
I believe there MIGHT be a fix for this in the development section. Please browse that and if you find the fix congrats
Cheers
P.S. This might help

I'll Shed a little more little on this l As @Nitro_123 said the "special" specs are to "blame" well kinda of.
Apps especially games usually contain native code which is basically code the talk directly to the processor, Intel and Arm processors talk a different language so normally any app you pulled of a phone for example wouldn't run, however intel created a translator library called libhoudini which does the magic, hence houdini I suppose.
Right now the best source of information for libhoudini is the android-x86 google group, do a search for libhoudini and see whats in there, I would assume the Android-IA official sight might have a FAQ about it but i've not checked.
Basically there plenty of things to try and tweak if things don't quite work right
This is a topic NOT to add or place or attacht APKs for our Beloved M9.....it is a list of oyur BEST APPs, to get FULL USE of the M9 POWERHOUSE!!! These may include any kind of apks/gamez/modz.
Please list the APPs, a brief description of it and where to find it.............
Hopefully we can get the best of the best with this gathering!!! Example: http://www.stuff.tv/features/10-best-apps-htc-one-m9

The 10 best apps for the HTC One M9

Mine goes for:
NAVMII GPS WORLD (NAVFREE) (£FREE)
You shouldn't need much encouragement to proudly display your M9's brushed-aluminum body, but Navmii (formally Navfree) gives you a great excuse to mount it on your dashboard for passing drivers to enviously ogle.
Completely free and with real-time traffic updates, re-routing and offline maps, as well as Street View integration, all of which display clearly on the HTC's 5in screen, this nav app should get you where you need to be. Just try not to blind passers-by with that shiny bezel.
