Any developer for this?

I read about a nice tut for porting JoyOS and LewaOS, but the probleme here is to have a good baserom.
Preferable Cyanogenmod. But my CM build wont boot last time I tried it, so I have no base to try it. By the way I'm not thinking about myself as an android developer, so maybe some other guy knows more about it or can do it with another base.

the above thread was closed. the more recent thread is much more productive.
Most Productive CM7 so far!!
The Most Productive one is By Razor 083, Maroc nd others! has lot of bugs.. major one like no network! but still the best so far.. as U can do more than having just a look inside! But it's a Port.. Not from the source!
Here's a nandroid backup of my installation! If u want.. U can try this.. I tried on stock kernel!
And Recently MadTeam is working on one.. nd It also has lot of bugs but.. IT's FROM THE SOURCE!!!
Here's the link!!!!
Hi!
I'am trying to port a Jelly Bean ROM from the Ace section using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1598713
Unfortunately, you need an ROM as base (Jelly Bean ROM) that's made for your device, and in this case it is the Galaxy Gio GT-S5660.
My question is very basic, were can I find a clean Jelly Bean ROM without any issues (CM10 beta2 doesn't have working camera) that I can use for porting?
Thanks!
There isnt.
You do better get some more knowwledge before porting, otherwise you wouldnt ask this question and you might end up with a bricked gio.

Hello every one. I wanted to ask where a beginer with no understanding about making rom's from source cloud find information to understand the hole sourece thingy and start making rom's.
Sent from my GT-5660 using sparta kick.
Just go read nearly all the general stuff toppic is what i do when i have a new phone. Today i got a second gio that needs fixing and a update.. For fun i start with the general toppic. Than i progress the other thopic's. Put some time in it to understand stuff.
See if you can backup the phone system and root the phone. Next a new recovery and a new rom. The info is all in this part of the gio forum.
thanks but I wanted to ask about making rom's from source I already have root, cwm recovery and a custom rom. I just want to know what shoud I do to understad how to make rom's from sorce. But still thanks.

building a rom from source is simple
you only need to setup the source directorys and sync some stuff the let the automated compile progress hapen and done
everyone can do this
but modifying java and xml
c++ c etc
is mostly on source
if you take like stock rom and smali modify its gonna be bit harder because of no source
but alsomore fun

Will there be a new CM rom based on 4.4 KitKat for the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 by either dh.harald or team cajanica?
First it's Gt-I8160 and not i1860
Second this is the wrong section for questions. The next time Ehen you ask sth go to question section from ace II
Third yes I thing that there will be a cm based 4.4 custom Rom but it will take time because wie first need to wait until the cyanogenmod Team made cm 10.3 or cm 11. And when that is finished maybe Team Cajanica will also make cm 10.3 or cm11 for us.
Probably yes but cm not aosp.
Since 4.4 probably will be optimized for "low" devices.
Do we really need separate thread for this question?
WHY ... WHY people do not use "Q&A Thread" !
If it'll be optomised for low devices, with KitKat we will be have rocket

Thanks alot for deciding to make roms!! As of now we have alot of AOSP based roms. It would be good if you could make a sense rom or a modified stock rom with complete note 3 look looking forward of ur development:good:
My suggestion
I personally would like a base Samsung 4.2.2 (Touchwiz, Native Trebuchet (by modded framework), or Google Launcher) ROM. No bloatware, just the basics: My FIles, and even get the Apolo Music app there.
- Why? AOSP and AOKP ROM don't have the DUOS system availability, which kinda defeats why we bought the DUOS models. Personally I delete all the Samsung and Carrier bloatware, there is just too much junk in there, and if someone wants something, they can re-install them later. Touchwiz, I dont particularly like too much, but after testing the Note 3 ported and modded Touchwiz by @android.zealot.fervor, i'm a go again.
This is all beneficial if we want a fast phone, which also, doesnt have the biggest internal system and storage memory as well.
My 0.02
Welcome, and thanks,
Paul

Well a lot of users give up thr other slim slot just too use the awesome roms build by dedicated developers like xenon92 and k2wl,,im one among them recently @tamasek a very recognized developer developed cyanogenmod 11 for s3 pure KITKAT experience for them,,we already have 10.2(not completely stable),,according to me you should either help k2wl and xenon92,kingbabasula to make it stable and also if possible dual sim support then i would also lve to request you to develop cyanogenmod 11 as tamasek did for s3,,,omni is also a good choice:thumbup:
