Galaxy S 3 Calendar - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Does anyone know if the calendar from .the galaxy s 3 is available? Its a very nice.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app

I agree, that would be cool to have on the gnex.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

Yep...saw it tonight. I had no idea it was included. Great UI!
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app

Great idea
Jellin' like a felon

It's probably part of TouchWiz.
Sent from my GNex running Jelly Bean 4.1.1

Even though it's not listed in the mods added (I know the calendar is typically a PITA), I'd ask the dev of this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1669190
Also, maybe add a [REQ] to the thread title, since there's no Galaxy S3 Calendar in here.

The S3 calendar looks hot.....would love to see this ported (if possible) to the GNex

+1 :fingers-crossed:

Tounchwiz

Just asking is there a jb Rom with tounchwiz in the Rom?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Sorry, gotta say it, but Tounchwiz?
TOUCHWIZ.
You won't find it anywhere.
Most people who are on the Nexus cannot stand OEM skins.
Also, no JB with Touchwiz ROMs except maybe on the SGS3 but I'm not even sure, I doubt it.
Thanks for that helpful information .

No, official touchwiz phones haven't even gotten jelly bean.

Nexus devices are then only ones with Jelly Bean. Even the S3 doesn't have it yet.

This might resemble what you want.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1669190
I recommend you get a Galaxy S3 if you like TouchWiz. Nexus devices use pure Android OS without the bloats.
This custom TW Launcher only work for Gingerbread for now, but you can follow its progress to see if it gets support for new version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1061883
Also you can download Cyanogenmod TouchWiz theme: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thomassafca.theme.touchwiz&feature=search_result
sense, touchwiz, motoblur all unnecessary junk. Wish more manufacturers would use vanilla android, but that's why I got a nexus.

Thats true!
i find it ironic that ppl with touchwiz devices cant wait to flash aosp roms..and you a nexus user wants touchwiz. well to each their own.
i think there is a s3 add on that gives makes your phone like the s3 with touchwiz..you might wanna give that a try

[REQUEST] Samsung S III Keyboard

I have been browsing around for a ported keyboard from the S III for my SP GNEX and have not had any luck. Has anyone else seen one or can this be ported over? I love the style and all the options it has on the S III. Thanks for the help!!
BUMP for visability... Hoping someone with knowledge will see this. There is some interest as this has been viewed many times.

It may not be possible but I cannot question that. Anyway like said above, I'm in for trying new things too.
Bump means or basically is letting people get aware of this topic by bumping it to the front/top. Its fine to do once every couple hours or so many over day by one person. Although if others help bump it makes it equally easier.

I will love to try Samsung keyboard if possible

Threads are displayed in the forum by most recent. So whenever someone replies the thread goes back to the top of the thread list. So a "bump" back to the top.
I love keyboards and thus I support this. Samsung really integrates their stuff together like Sense... so I don't think its as easy as ripping the apk. Typically with past HTC IME keyboards had to be flashed through recovery to include all the proper files and placement.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
I don't know much about these stuff, but can't somebody with galaxy s3 can just take out the apk of the keyboard?

Why Samsung keyboard ? Samsung English keyboard is really ****ty which could not do simple typo correction. The best was consistently lousy from galaxy s2 to galaxy s3 ...
Try typing this sentence with Samsung keyboard
" Samsung keyboard always stupid ! " , compare this to android stock keyboard.

I've been looking everywhere for an S3 keyboard port. Was hoping it was in the S3 Touchwiz addon pack, but see barely any mention of it.
I love the "handwrite" feature built in .. whether I'd use it or not
Madphone, the maker of the S3 addon port would probably be the best candidate to ask about this-- if he reads this or if anyone wants to hit him up.
There was actually a huge improvement from the SII & SIII keyboards.
I am an avid swype user but Samsung has integrated a swype like function into the keyboard. Also the handwrite feature is something I'd like to have.
Thanks for the input everyone. Hopefully we can keep this near the top and get this going!

Actually to people coming from Samsung devices in the past, they tend to like it better than the stock keyboards...

Bump... It's been a while since this has been up. So hoping there is an update. Anyone?
god....whats with all the whining? I thought this would b simple....y cant sum1 just download the samsung stock rom n extract the kb?

What would be harder to do?

I was wondering what would be harder to port...............Touchwiz, Sense, or Aplications Platform(Motorola)?
I'm no expert on this topic but sense would most likely be the hardest to port. As for easiest I have no idea
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Yeah I'm liking how Motorola is going and I like the way touchwiz looks but people get mad when I ask about a non-stock ROM on a Google device.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I'd say the Motorola I went to a Verizon store and played with the RAZR m. Widgets are nice and overall u.I. was smooth. Was ICS BTW... sense would be amazing and maybe stutter proof ( we do have a beast of a phone)

There's a guy in the dev section who has been working on the ports , still not mega stable so they all look like a pain. Give him a message am sure he has more info

NO offense but IMO, Holo is the prettiest launcher so far. Nothing can replace Holo on a GNex.
But looking at the progresses, sense seems to be the most easiest (or most worked on) so far cuz months ago i saw TW ports and Sense ports but nowadays i only see Sense ports.

Help Finding SGSIII Style Softkeys

Title says it all, and I've tried googling it but every result came up with people getting soft keys on their SGSIII, I saw a thread the other day where someone recreated them on the GNex, but I can't seem to find it anywhere, could someone point me in the right direction?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
That's not a touchwiz deal is it? Touchwiz is a Samsung's overlay on Android.
The Galaxy SIII has hardware keys...

Touchwiz port or rom?

Has anyone created a touch wiz port or rom.?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Yes. Its just in a super secret second development forum. That's why its not in the Development forum for your device.
Why in the world would anyone WANT touch wiz. I bought my gnex because i was sick of touchwiz

Ewww Touchwiz on GNexus? No thank you
Watch the CNS ROM thread the dev was working a full port but I haven't seen anything happen on that thread in a long time.

Always run every ROM than go back to blur too...
I always just OC, Supercharge, entitlement hotspot hack, remove bloat, deodex, init D, swap out system apps and I'm happy
Edit: Go back to blur when I had a bionic.
