Love these themes. Not my style, but love your theme philosophy of not touchin the icons.
One thing I'd like to see is darker menus... I really hate the brushed aluminum look it's got now. That's one thing I think I REALLY like about the iphone's looks. The brushed aluminum menus immediately make me think "Windows 98" :/

[ROM] DalerROM & NikitaROM. 14/3 - Schemes Added. Blue? Green? Red? Grey? Orange?

Hi guys & gals,
In a span of 23 years of architectural practice, I have come to realise that different age groups relish/appreciate different color groups. Elderly people would love to have softer paler colors while pre-teens & teens are open to any color & any mix of colors. While men prefer warmer ones, Women prefer pinks, pastels, magentas & mauves.
Each age group/sex tends to prefer a certain part of android market/life.
Before I finalize my two ROMs, I am now taking requests from anybody/everybody what they would prefer. You also need to mention your age, sex & profession.
I am NOT asking for firmware requests or theme requests. I am asking for color requests + if possible how & in what way you you use your SGS best.
14/3 - I have short-listed a few color schemes for you.
1 - All Greys.
2 - Light Pink + Blue.
3 - Seagreen + Navy Blue.
4 - Yellow + Dark Greys.
5 - Orange + Deep Red.
What do you say?
Monochrome is the best!
I always use a black background en white symbols, .. my agenda, clock, shortcuts and even the weather is in white!
And if it has to be a color, the sgs suits the color blue pretty well, .. meaning man and woman would/could adore it!
Hope to see some of your work soon!
I'm young and would prefer a dark theme simply because it would save battery life on SAMOLED.
Good idea there mate. I am a teen reaching adulthood, male, and I like lighter, relaxed color scheme. Think Go Launcher "cartoon" theme or MIUI. It's nice and the graphics looks consistent. I like more flat, than 3D. Think Gingerbread instead of Froyo. I always like my homescreen to be colourful, basically combination of cyan, orange and green.
Hey ragin.
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Preference: Usually a noir style; blacks, whites and greys (sorta like R64's theme). Also like a combination of black, navy blue or sky blue.
20 Male
I like black with gray and white + (not light) blue or green. Gingerbread for example is really nice. To say it simpler:
1 color + black and white and gray.
35 male
Black, green, orange. Sharp lines more than curved.
45 male
I like darker colors and not very easy.
I'm 22 years old, and I prefer strong colors: red, black, white.
20 male, I like neon futuristic type colours...i.e. The neon green in Jumbas NeonGT theme. Neon blue would also be a cool colour to incorporate.
50+
male
it management
I prefer FULL colour menus, in ALL menus, single colour themes make a phone bland, like a cheap rip off.
I like things to stand out, be very clear and clinical, I like sharp clean text lines, I am not a lover of the Doctor type fonts where you have to figure out the wording ;-)
And no I am not going blind or the likes due to my age But for those that remember the old green screen days, to be able to see and use FULL colour makes a big difference, reds and yellows give you a clue that the options have consequences, colour has many visual properties that allow the brain to see information in colour before you read the text, and using monochromatic schemes loose that impact and functionality

These are my colours as well, using mostly black though. 29 M business management. A note though: any and all colours can be attractive to anyone (I believe)....the secret is the balance and combinations between them. I have been surprised myself when I've seen certain things that contain not my first choice of colours but looked good to me nonetheless because someone did a good job mixing them

this thread I think that is better located in the themes forum...
colors = themes != development
about the initial question... I´m 30 years old and I prefer a green, blue, orange colors for highlights (icons, buttons, ...) over a gray scale base.. light or dark.. indiferent
i now see its impossible to please everyone . People have so many different choices.

Well, this is becoming a large pallette to configure, I think I will sort the replies & try to organize the requests onto 3-4 catagories. Let's see how this turns out.
Thanks to everyone who have answered. Your replies will definately help me.
To others, keep posting.
I prefer matte and clean colours. Matte blue, green, red (and burgundy), dark and light grey are all nice colours in a UI. I don't like the Windows Vista and HTC Sense glossy style on the interface.
Male, 18 years old.
Im male, 18, and i would love a black/navy blue combination, or a dark silver instead of black.
U should make a poll with the 3 most loved colors or smthing.

To match the colours, it's really upto you how you think of it. I actually have the blue and i find it quite hard to find a perfect match with most lite colours cases, with blue it mostly grey, black, silver, brown, blue and similar dark colours, whiles the white S3 can match with many lite and dark colours.
I'll be getting a white S3 soon, so i'll have two.
already have about 9 cases, mostly dark and transparent colours.
As the person above stated, a white S3 will basically go with anything while certain colors look good for the blue. Don't let that be a deciding factor though since there are a lot of good looking cases that match the blue s3. I roll with a blue s3 cause it looks good.

What I do notice is that 99% of all accesoires are displayed with the white version. I have the blue one and sometimes it is hard to think if it matches the case. Nonetheless the blue color is very nice.

yeh, all adverts, photo's and reviews all use the white unit.
Simple, as stated above, white goes with everything, blue doesn't. I've had blue phones in the past and won't do it again. Regardless, the blue is still a good looking phone.

Theme colors and the absence of a good shade of green

We need more decent green themes. I've been searching the boards and have found nothing but bright, emerald Green Lantern-ish green. What about the pale bugdroid Android green? No fancy fonts, not funky numbers. Just a straight up bugdroid-green theme. Come on, now, people.
Oh, and compatibility with AOKP JB would be awesome.
Install gimp
Change hue on 2000+ images.
Enjoy your own theme.

You could try one of the green themes from the HOLO series.

Dark Theme Or Light Theme?

Hi guys. Just want to know which theme is better to use. The dark theme or the light/default theme? Is there any difference on peformance? Battery consumption? Your opinion is highly appreciated. Currently on android 10 with june security patch.
Dark theme because it looks good on matte protector. White screen if glossy screen.
Don't think there's (big or any) difference in battery usage. On LCD screens the pixels light up even if the image/screen is black not like on OLED screens. And our dark theme not even black so... anyways I personally prefer the light theme because I can see the screen better in sunlight.
