Chrome App delete cookies (default Jelly Bean Browser) - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hey guys,
I am waiting for JB to arrive on my GN and read about Chrome being the new default browser in this OS. This would be fine since I prefer it over the stock-ICS-Browser, except for one detail: I could not yet find an option to delete cookies in Chrome
With the ICS Browser it was a simple button beneath the "Accept cookies" checkbox, but I can't seem to find such a thing in Chrome. I think many tech-savvy user are surfing the web with ad-blockers and deny cookies (or at least delete them once in a while to stop websites from profiling).
Anybody found a solution to this? Where are they stored? Does a "clear-data" of the Chrome app delete them? (should be easy to test, will try it ;-)

Chrome ---> Settings ---> "Content settings" Accept Cookies"
Chrome ---> Settings ---> Privacy ---> "CLEAR BROWSING DATA" "Clear cookies, site data" will delete cookies...

Default Browser

Hi Guys,
Can anyone help me with this problem?
My main browser is Opera however when I click on a link from an app (for example from Pockettwitter or my RSS reader) the web page opens up in Internet Explorer.
I hate having to use IE as the pages never fit etc....How can I change it so that when i click on these links they open in Opera?
Thanks.
anyone help with this?
I thought it would be an easy one!
If anyone else is bothered by the same problem as me this is what you need to do.
Download JZ SmartMort v1.5 from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=382043
It does lots of hardcore techy stuff but more importantly for me is that it has an default browser option in it's settings (go to JZ Settings from your programs list, then JZ Browser options, then Choose a Default Browser, select Opera).
See? I told you it would be easy didn't I?
This has been annoying me for ages... thanks for providing a solution - I'm about to give it a go.

[Q] Problem with Chrome not being saved as default browser

Quick question.... Chrome is not being 'remembered' as my default browser. So if I use for example Google's widget for internet favourites. Every time it requests me to select a browser. (Chrome or Samsung's stock browser). It never remembers the option even though I set chrome as default.... Anyone else having this issue. Anyway round this? Obviously if won't let me disable the stock browser.
HI Andy,
Did you ever figure this out?

Native Messenger app built-in browser question..

Is there a way to disable it? It's garbage. Is there a way to force links to open in default browser without having to select "open in browser" from the drop down menu?

I agree - I receive job notifications all day via text w/ links in them and on my Note 4 it worked fine, but on my new Note 7 it opens what I presume is a Webview minibrowser that only partially loads, I then had to use the drop down menu to load it into Chrome, which reloaded the page, which finally opened the link into the app that it was associated with in the system to begin with - WTH?!?!
So the only fix I found was to replace the stock app with the Google messaging app -

Inconsistent text selection menu?

Updated to android 10, ClipStack no longer works, a dev recommend Private Clipboard app from here. To use it, I have to select a text, and pick 3 dots menu, then "copy to PClip". Problem is, I can't find this 3dots menu outside of chrome web browser.
"https://i.imgur.com/7UTeqVs.jpg" is what the app talks about
"https://i.imgur.com/rEYOslM.jpg" is what I have in most cases
What gives?

Can't clear default browser

I have Verizon Galaxy s20 Ultra 5G with the latest update and just discovered that I have Chrome set as default browser instead of having a pop-up asking which browser to use, as it was for ages, and when I go to settings, apps and select Chrome it shows that it is set as default and when I tap there I can select another browser from the list but the button' Clear Default ' is missing . The same applies to every browser I have installed. Any help is greatly appreciated
Google is being so annoying lately... I had this same problem and found a solution:
just install a browser that you aren't going to use (or one already on your device) and then set it as the default browser. Then delete that app (uninstall it) and the default browser will be back set to none.
Just super annoying because if you hit the button again later to set a default browser you'll have to do this all over again
