[Q] Are you a French developer?

Hello everyone
Many developers are speaking on xda (site) to find tips for developing for Windows Mobile. I just wanted to know if you know a French website that provides guidance for developing applications for the upcoming Windows 7 Phone. I'm not very good at English and I want to find a good community around me to build my applications.

[Q] EAP-SIM on HTC One X

Hi,
The french carrier Free Mobile just added EAP-SIM support on its network, apparently this protocol is not natively supported on Android.
I've read about Cyanogen adding this feature to their roms, but nothing more.
Any chance this could be added to the One X roms ?

Je viens d'appeler le SAV HTC au 0170759171 et je vous informe que ça a chauffé un peu avec l'opérateur parce qu'il me prenait pour un débil. En gros, il essayait de me dire que le problème vient de Free et non pas de HTC! Au final, j'ai pu le remettre à sa place et le convaincre que c'est HTC qui n'a pas inclus cette option. Il m'a dit qu'il va remonter le PB à HTC et s'ils recoivent beaucoup de demandes sur ce sujet, ils vont peut être considerer une solution.
Je vous invite donc à les appeler et à faire un peu de pression

Just in order to sum up the French part for non French readers, Adonix called HTC to ask to include EAP-SIM in their stock rom, and they answer that if they have many more requests from users they will take care of thess requests.
But Adonix, if you called HTC around your post date (October the 17th) they already know content of the current Jelly Bean deployement in France (that means they already know that was included in next version).
For all other Free user with stock rom, you can now perform the OTA update, the Jelly Bean integrate the native EAP-SIM, and you will be able to connect without any trouble, just search for FreeWifi_Secure, click on network and connect, nothing else to do.
Enjoy.

Kitkat, unfortunately, I upgraded to jb and it still doesn't support eap-sim.
I need to use freewifi config app from store to enable this functionality. I installed jb using ruu with full format.
did you upgrade using ota? Had you used the free wifi config app before upgrading (was the hotspot configured prior update)? What's your cid and fw version? I have a European HTC__203.

No need to. Just download and install FreeWifiConfig from store and use the application to enable FreeWifi_secure.

I confirm it works with FreeWifiConfig, but what does this app configure in order to get EAP-Sim working that I can't modify by myself ?

[Q] Vijendrahs AOKP JB 4.1.2 V2.1

Hi all,
I have been using this version* and found it to be fast and reliable, better than any other 4.1.2 JB roms I have tried so far but the only problem I have found is:
1) Wifi drops every one to two days such that I need to reboot to turn it on (the wifi button is greyed out in the system settings)...
Anyone else encountered this problem?
I also found that the google maps app was using a huge amount of battery but I have since disabled location updates in the hope that this will resolve the problem... time will tell.

Otherwise a fantastic mod which I won't be replacing in a hurry! (Unless anyone has experience with a more stable and reliable mod?)

I have been using this rom since 1 month and have not faced such issue...
BTW this rom is the best JB rom around.. pretty stable and fast... really good work by the developer.. I don't know why it has not been updated since long..

I have not had the problem since, I didn't reflash but I used an app called wifix... I'm not sure if this sorted the problem or if it was coincidence however!
I'm not trying to decide whether to upgrade to the recent 2.2 upgrade but might hold on for a rainy weekend.

Sinon, le lockscreen avec plusieurs écrans me plaît pas trop...
La version AOKP 4.1.2 VJ est pour l'instant mieux ...

There are many people here as XDA is a worldwide community. It is much faster to post the questions with an English translation included so that there are many more opportunities for someone to answer your question.
We are not asking for perfect translations, but please at least make an attempt. You will find people here much more willing to help if you demonstrate that you are putting forth some effort.

The latest OTA update fixes that. If it's not available for you yet, keep manually checking in the 'About' section in Settings...
