AOKP and CM9 have been built from source for a while now..what are you guys talking about? If you are refering to the kernel source that just dropped then Times has built one and incorperated it into his 7-11 release. I think you guys are confused and need to read more before posting.

Cannot wait for some CM10! Its about time we got source. Samsung promised this by March initially. Been a long 3 months. Lol

I can't wait to see what rujelus will be able to do now on the best rom ever, the blu kuban.

AOKP already has a kernel built from ICS source. /thread

C'mon people the thread was meant to be light hearted and fun, to talk about what we're excited to see.
I think the long wait has made some people a bit edgy.

Idk who will be first but Im glad to know we will have stable builds now hopefully....I would like for PH and caulkin to come back one last time since we have ics ota now tho....

Only two that I know are Agat/Chris41g stock compile and AOKP. CM9 when I checked this morning was still off of AOSP.
Will be keeping an eye and updating as I see them.

Yeah we need the source for a custom kernel, which won't be published until the update goes official.

Samsung didn't waste any time it seems. Go to the link below and it's the third one down.

Chimera ROM?!?

I don't know a whole lot about this ROM or team passion, but I thought maybe starting a thread about it we could all learn a little / keep track of updates and progress. From what I've heard, they haven't built anything using our newly acquired source, but those who have ran what they have so far seem to love it.. What you guys think?

Other then that its a beautiful rom.
This install method is awesome but not all of the features worked for me... also a lot of ppl have reported that it doesn't boot ... I think the solution to this is u have to come from a 4.0.4 rom ...

If you are coming from a tw ics rom it most likely will fail. I flashed it from stock ics and it failed 4 times i then flashed a cm9 and the directly flashed this and it booted fine. I heard the dev say this as well
Also when u are installing in the beginning in aroma installer u can choose custom install and u can pick radios.
I was only getting signal with Kid radio

Trying it out now but rotation is backwards. Just disabled auto rotate now I'll check out the rest. Flashed over latest aokp not cm9 so that probably caused it.
While I appreciate the extra work making it with aroma, I really wish they didn't force their radio choices on you. I was doing just fine with my radio.

Using root explorer you can push your choice of kernel or radio in its respective places just looked in it to fix auto rotate you'd need to take libakm.so from cm 9 and push it to system/libs.

Well, people definitely don't seem happy with the OTA update. I am using times_infinity builds of AOKP and they are absolutely amazing.
On topic, JB seems interesting but it just seems so minimal of a change... Sure smoothness is great but not worth wading through 20 builds of meh performance battery and features. I'll likely wait a month or two to actually use a JB build.

Emoji, emoji, emoji!! native emoji support is all I'm thinking about. Thankfully CM10 will come to us, so no need to depend on sprint or samsung. Also, not to be a **** but the article linked in the OP mentions nothing what so ever to back up the meaning of this thread, it only mentions the galaxy S3. This would be the correct thread with good source to a possible jelly bean update to the Galaxy S2. sadly so far only international version.
