battery case with android guy on the back???

anyone know where i can get this case from i been searching for about an hour and nothing...

I've seen that before. It's not a case. It's a screen protector with the Android sticker. Look at the picture carefully, there is nothing that indicates that a case is used, but you can tell there is a screen protector on. I've also seen those stickers around gmarket when I was looking around.

i ordered a metallic android logo off ebay for i think three bucks came with a big one and a little one . heres the big one on the back of the vibrant battery cover

Damn. I want one of those now.

is the android guy a sticker or is it like a screen protector meaning no glue

It's a decal like a sticker but leaves no residue if you decide to take it off the sellers name is rgirgich

Metal/Alternative battery cover

Anybody have any idea where I could get an aluminum or nicer battery cover replacement?
I don't like the feel of the cheap plastic on the galaxy range.

There are only cases, but no back covers that are metal. It would only damage your phone if you get the battery cover off of it with metal.

I am hoping they release the ZAGG leather skins like they have for other phones. Once that is applied, nothing else is needed!

have you really had a SGS3 yet to say that you dont like it??? Geez.... have some patience and you might find that its much better than it looks. Besides getting a metal or alloy piece will be much more scratch prone and that is not something you would like to have!

sure, im curius as well, to see why half the reviewers of the S3 say the rear cover is brilliant and nothing like the photos show, and the other half insist that its 'plasticky'
then i can decide about covers. However i have already preordered some a couple of cases to go with the phone anyway as im sure it will be a while before they will ever make proper rear covers to replace.

Hmmm, not a fan tbh. I've been using mine with no cover for 2 days now and I'm loving it! So thin and light. Though I'm going to order a carbon fibre cover (to sit over existing cover) just in case I drop it or someone else does.

Those aren't "covers" though, they're replacement "backs".
Found that seller just a second ago and was going to post it myself. Going to order a couple and see what they're like.

Here are couple close-ups of the replacement covers for anyone that's interested.

A metal case would really screw up your reception, and stop a lot of things like GPS and NFC from working. Take a look at the old transformers

Hard to tell from your video, does it have any lip to lift the screen off of a table if it is set down on the face? I think I can see one, but you mention that it won't protect the phone at all if it is dropped on the screen, which tells me that it doesn't stick out at all.

No it doesn't have any lip to protect the screen, a nice feeling case but not one for protection.

Yes there is. It's not big lip but just enough to raise the phone that the screen doesn't touch the table when placed face down. And I think this provides protection to most vulnerable parts of the phone: corners.

Yes it does. I think it's stupid. And there's no real use for it either: With a coin in it's place, it's not something i'd call very stable, so i rather keep the phone in my hand or have it leaning against something. And the looks could be more like in the s2s version. Other than that, i think it's a great case and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a minimal case that doesn't add to much bulk.
P.S. Just got the official slim case today (yes, the twin pack), so we'll see which one do i prefer...

I should have a replica mesh case soon which doesn't have the coin slot. Think if the quality is good it should be a wicked case.

Hey there, I currently have the white S3 and I'm wondering if anyone knows where to get a transparent back cover to replace the white one that came with it. That would be awesome.

you can use the samsung ultra slim covers just without the battery door of the phone, works well. tried it right now.

I fully agree.
well, there is the one guy that made silicone molds of his back cover, and then made a real CF one... perhaps he can be perswaded to use his molds to make clear ones from some other material?

I think it would look cool but it would also get severely dirty and/or yellow

Well I already fear that my original white back cover will gain that effect anyway, not too worried about a transparent one doing that.

I have a smoke coloured TPU case that looks pretty good. The picked it up on Amazon for 7$ish

yeah it works just as well.. those cases use the sides of the phone to hold the phone so.. shouldnt be any difference

worst case scenario: ad a LITTLE heat (like a tiny bit at a time) just to soften a tiny bit, and then push it closer to the battery. not too much, so you don't melt anything.

here my, it's a Box Wave case with no back cover. i don't use it much cause the power button is to stiff and the side grip feel like sh*t

I remember back in the day, those clear candy bar shape phones with the flashing lights inside was all the rage lol .. these phones just dont look as cool inside lol

Only reason i gave up on s3 was crack screen.
My screen cracked even without dropping phone on s3 and replacement phone cracked too by dropping just from my pocket. so I moved to iPhone, but I love android.

No but really all you need is a case with a bumper that extends so the glass can't be the first thing to hit the hard surface. I've become a fan of cases that combine TPU and a hard barrier.

Just get a cheap tpu case. They've saved everyone of my phones from cracked screens.

this plus a case,(personally I went with an otterbox) and you will never have a problem.

Get a tempered glass protector (I got mine from Spigen), and then a case. That will protect your screen.

I use an xoskins http://xoskins.com and a case. It doesn't have orange peel like other skins and won't get scratched with sand or lint. Cases I prefer otterbox
