I was just wondering, and i didn't know where else to put this thread.
Who here likes the 2010 xda them better than the 2013 xda theme?
i like the 2010 xda theme, mainly because the 2013 theme look bland, and unoriginal. if i was to look at another forum the theme would look pretty similar, but the 2010 theme looks original and you could easily tell its xda-developers.com
just my opinion, whats your opinion?
IMO, so what if it looks somewhat like other sites? It's usefulness that matters. And when you get used to the new theme, you forget about looks. It's clearer also

it was just my opnion, i was wondering if anyone else felt the sameway
Due to the fact that I'm only on my phone, the majority of the time I use the app, but I do jump on desktop version sometimes and from what I've seen, I prefer the 2013 theme to be honest. But I'm not sure about the functionality difference though.

:highfive: i was starting to think i was the only one, but its alright because xda gives you an option to use the 2010 theme!!!
The fonts are too small in the new theme...
Other than that, I'm all good with the new theme...

That just makes it better when it finally does work. All of the times I flashed the Miui ROMs and hung at Sammy screen..the first time it booted, it was kinda exciting.

No, like the app makers are putting more privacy stuff in that makes it harder to work with.
We have a lot of good themers in this section and was wondering if everyone was interested in creating a community theme. We would need to decide on a theme to start with, then divide up the different parts of the themeing. Then we would need people to port to all the roms. Anyone interested.

Exactly vote on a color scheme for the framework and then have different themers develop different dialers, keyboards, and other apps that can be flashed separately to the liking of the community giving everyone different options.

I really like this idea. It would really bring a much more cohesive working environment for this community.
Have you tried PMing the other popular themers here? I think that would be a great first step. As well as voting for colors via poll is a good idea too.

On another note, we barely have any original themes. Most of them here are ports, its easy to drag images from one theme to another. I'm just saying it needs to be a lil more original around here

Most may start out as just porters but then move on. I'm willing to help anyone who wants to learn its very easy. Just takes a computer and an imagination. M&S made some great tutorial videos and its even simpler than that.

Nice glad to see some interest. I just feel like when i am doing a theme by myself i get one sided, and i lose focus . I think with more ideas from different people it will make the theme even better.

If i can port sexy theme that community loves than i rather be a porter. As long as the theme stands out. I don't need to be original because we can combine other theme and make better themes. And some ppl just don't have time to make it original! XDA is all about sharing so as long as i get permission to port it i will be porting it because i port sexy theme No offense/hard feeling.

I completely agree with this. The ports are ported for a reason since they were so complete and established over on the I9100 forums. Themes like Sensation and Black hole are too fine to not port. Which I love btw.
Keep doing what you're doing man, the more ports there are, the better options for us users and ideas themers can take with their own themes.

some people like the launcher of iOS coupled with the versatility of android. nothing wrong with that.
with that being said, this works suprosingly well, just needs options for customization. Menu button does nothing. folders would be dope too but its still in beta stage
This launcher has no settings or any kind of options, just like the regular iPhone, go figure.
They should implement a Launcher menu, but I guess they didn't think it was important to since iPhone users usually stick with stock...EVERYTHING.
oh yeah...it'll be much better. The devs are working on adding alot of recommended customizations

This launcher doesnt have anything better of both worlds. It's dull, boring, and unattractive, then again that's just my opinion
P.S . But I know its a WIP, so it has the potential to get better.
MIUI is identical to the iPhone, you don't see people bashing that ROM now do you? Kills iPhone in every aspect IMO.

So What Can You Say About The 2013 Theme??
For me, the 2013 Theme is Professional Looking, but lacks the ambiance and feel of the Spirit of XDA...
I Am Still Adjusting, but 2013 Theme is much more simple, and surely will benefit everyone, especially people with not so strong internet connection..So Whats your insight?:highfive:

it is the coolest theme xda had ever made but when talking about browsing in uc browser, ibibo browser 2010 theme is much more suitable and understandable than 2013 theme
1 thing I don't like is the country flag, and carrier image is hidden in more info, it should be open like in 2010 theme

We have been used to the 2010 theme, give it time and you will appreciate the new one:highfive:
Also the thanks button is on left side, which is not easily accessible to new bee ... It should be beneath the post so that a post can be easily thanked

I find that 2013 works faster than 2010 for me...
I like the look of it too, there's just something about the overall theme that I find much better than the previous ones. I've had no problems using it.

2013 is way better than 2010, makes me feel i am doing some super pro thing even when i am posting in FAQ about unrooting!! LOL
New theme is clean and the layout is nice. No I can see my subscribed threads without going to usercp.

Its clean but takes more time to load since it loads posts from xda portal. I normally visit them when not on xda. So for me 2010 is better
