Hi, when I play games or watch movies on my one x it sometimes start to flash red - green on the notification light.
I think it only happens when I have the charger plugged in. Anyone know what it is? And if its any help, I'm running leedroids Rom.

I was thinking this but I'm not too sure, I was wondering if the one x charger would have higher power output due to the beastlyness of the phone. I however never use it because it's short...use an old blackberry charger seems to take about the same amount of time to charge tho

Generally, those two circumstances tend to occur simultaneously!

Yup! Do NOT play games while charging...it is a sure way of pushing the thermal limits!

No, its pretty much an industry standard that micro usb chargers run 1A @ 5v
If the charger is really old it could be 800mA but not likely, easy to check though, just check between the pins on the plug

oh so its not overheating?
It's definitely overheating. I was watching an hd movie using sw code and charging (I had about 20% battery, so it was taking the whole amp), and the light began flashing. I quit the mx player and saw battery widget reporting 49 degrees Celsius and battery status was 'overheating' I have to mention though that I had my phone placed onto a pillow, so no chance of dissipating the heat whatsoever. I presume the same happens when you play a game and hold your phone. My advice is just to wait a while for the battery to go up enough, so the charger begins the slow cycle - then you'll be charging with a few hundred mA and it will be easier for the phone to handle the extra heat.

Well when the led flashed like that for me I was playing shadowgun and the battery dropped a percent over the time I was playing with it charging the whole time, but like someone said above both will happen. The phone was hot for sure

Well I used to have overheat problems as well but I fixed it by doing a hard reset. My phone doesn't overheat as it did before the reset and I can easily play games on the phone while charging. Even after a hard reset, my phone easily hits 43 degrees though. Just thought to share this with you guys.

I used my touchpad’s charger which is a 2A charger and it charges twice the speed. So you can try using any tablet's charger for a fast charge..

Do you have the original charger?
I bought a charger from China and it happened like that, but it doesn't happens with the HTC genuine charger.
It definately sounds like a charger that is not regulating the voltage properly. I would stop using the charger immediately and use usb from a laptop or pc. I have fried a few phones using the wrong or cheap chargers, tho old razr's were famous for that.
Are you experiencing the same problem when charging via USB on a computer?
My genuine HTC charger blow up at first charge :banghead: there are a few chargers issues with most phones are made in China

I've had problems when I was carrying a charger unofficial
Check the specs of a charger. It should be 1A, 5V if I remember right. It is not recommended to use charger with higher specs.
Do you use an original wire?
Hi,
Has anyone purchased this car mount from mobilefun?
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/car-cradle-and-charger-for-htc-one-x-p35493.htm
Currently out of stock but I'm thinking of ordering - looks very similar to the Kidigi mount I've been seeing around.
Hoping it charges @ AC..
Cheers,
Danny
It is the kidigi mount. Handsfree version also available.
Oh great thanks.
I wonder if it will suffer from the same problem with charge not being AC

If you plug the phone in the dock before the charger shows ac. It still charges the phone so I'm not worried

It doesnt charge the phone fast enough and the cig charger with the handsfree speaker is too big and is loose in the socket and keeps coming out

How does this one compare to the official HTC car kit? Which is £50, but seems to be out of stock.
I have it and it works fine with me. You just have to put phone in dock first before the charger to enable ac mode
(like it says in instructions)

Welcome to the mobile world.
My guess is that recharge as fast as a laptop battery, although they have power sources and disipate more heat, as a down side

Hi,
Do you able to verify that the actual capacity is really 30000mAh? Thx

I personally prefer Anker battery packs as they are decently priced and I have seen very good quality out of them.

I have been using an N7000 for 2 years now. A great phone - but the achilles heel has definitely been power. I had three bateries for it. Got one of those fat aftermarket batteries with the phone cover - it was absolutely useless - I don't think it even held the equivalent power of 33% of an OEM battery. Picked up another aftermarket battery similar in size to the OEM battery. In fairness, that hasn't been too bad - it's only in the last few weeks that it seems to have tanked - cant get much of a charge on it now.
Even with all of those - when I would go away travelling, there still was no comfort. I would have to curtail the way I used the phone. It's for that reason that I've turned to this power bank.
Only received it yesterday - but it seems to be exactly the same as the OP's. Charging it right now.
@Warnahly: Has the power bank retained its integrity since you first started using it? In real terms, what do you suspect is the real power storage of this device (if we are to work on the basis that it probably doesn't strictly live up to the 30K mAh description?
I've got the wireless charging battery cover from Verizon on my phone. It makes the phone a bit thicker. I was wondering if there were any cases out there that can accommodate the extra size. I currently use a Cruzerlite case that I cut a little bit to allow expansion but I'd like something a bit cleaner.
TIA for any input!

You can get wireless charging inlays that fit inside the original battery lid and as such don't increase the thickness of the device
Interesting, never heard of that. Do you have a link?

They're practically impossible to miss, just search ebay or any number of other places for "s3 qi inlay"
Has anyone experienced any issues with the inlays? I just got a wireless qi charger and the Verizon rear case for the phone and have just been putting up with the added thickness. I wouldn't mind considering the inlays though.

They make it a bit thicker and bow the back out very slightly.
To those who currently have a qi wireless charger. Few questions as I'm about to get one.. Does the charging pad get warm? Is it ok to keep plugged in or could it be a possible fire hazard? Stupid question, I know, but I have a hard time trusting cheap stuff from china, lol. Does wireless charging charge as fast as USB? Thanks!

Occasionally. Yes it's fine. And it depends on the pad and the receiver on your phone. Mine is 650mA so it's slightly faster than USB

I wouldn't skimp on the stuff tho. I spent like $50 for my charging pad. Its got two spots and it's made by Energizer.

it's not going to blow up or anything.
you can also keep an eye out for the dt500 charging pad that nokia has for the lunia series. they go on sale often for $25.

1. Slightly warm when in use.
2. Yes, it's fine to leave it plugged in. My one at my office desk sits on top of a pile of papers and hasn't set anything on fire yet.
I personally own this receiver (which I use with this pad, though my pads are black rather than white), which works well though my lifeproof case. No dice with the Otterbox Armour case though.
I'd recommend avoiding this charger. It doesn't work worth a damn through a case and constantly connects/disconnects.
I have the same receiver inlay as compo01, using it with a variety of pads, including an official Samsung S4 one that I modded into an ugly but functionally awesome dock

my phone gets warm during the initial charging but once it hits 100% it cools down real fast. I can think of only one other thing in this case.. you might not be aligned correctly.. but i would not think that's the case since you seem to be able to get to 100% with no problem...
I have the Verizon and the monster watts WiQiQi kit. I mainly use the Verizon back cover even though it means I can't put a case on. The WiQiQi is a nice kit but when I use it with my preferred case, one with a stand , The screen distorts and bulges. But I put the WiQiQi in my fathers phone with an otterbox and he has no issues.
