Those are scripts used when compiling AOSP. I'm pretty sure there are no radios there.

The apps could probably be heavily framework-dependent (touchwiz) and may never work on non-touchwiz devices.
If there is any application have the same features, I wish from you to let me know

From within the menu 'about the phone' at the bottom of settings menu. You'll find system update there.
Of course this will only work if JB is officially released in your area/provider.

+1 with that...
You don't even need to root, unlock your bootloader, fastboot a factory image and you are done (This will wipe EVERYTHING including your SD card though)
All the info you need is in the guides links in the stickies, there even stickies on how to convert to the "fast update" train of the google updated versions.

HOW CAN I TELL WHICH FIRMWARE I HAVE ON MY DEVICE
Using any file manager app, go into your /system folder and open the file called "build.prop". Find the line that starts with ro.product.name. Whatever comes after the equals sign (=), that's the firmware you have.

You nailed it. I'm not willing to sacrifice security, and stock JB gives me everything I need. XDA is a great resource to learn about Android and see what's coming, which is why I'm here.

What security are you worried about ? I find it really hard to get malware or brick the phone. And im one of those reckless kind who downloads first. Ask questions later. Ive never gotten virus or anything, bricked once when trying somthin new. But data still remsins. If security is a big issue. Just root and dont download anythng not frm xda. Youll b good

Some of us have reasons/requirements for not rooting. The decision isn't wrong either way; it's how you use your device.
