I am looking to unroot my device, and I found this guide: http://theunlockr.com/2010/12/01/how-to-unroot-the-t-mobile-g2-htc-vision/. Do I need to restore to stock hboot, or can I just go ahead with this guide? I am running ILWT 471 right now.
look for nipqer's guide, it will be more helpful
Thanks! My only question is whether this will work with a DZ hboot. It seems like it should, but I'm not sure

I have a g2 vision and flashed the dzhboot to run sense 3.0 roms. Now I would like to unroot my phone and was wondering if I have to flash back to vision hboot before starting the process. I have done my homework and found these methods of doing it here is one

and also have one more way

But they don't say anything about having to flash a different hboot so do I ?
Thx

I think if you flash the (an) official PCIMG10.zip from the sdcard it writes over everything.
That said, since I used g-free for s-off, when I flash an official PCIMG10 I'm usually left unrooted but with a 'fake' s-off.
I think you mean PC10IMG.zip close enough though lol

I believe that any ROM that requires the Desire Z Hboot, says so in the first post of that particular ROM thread. For the Virtuous ROMs that require it, they have a link to the process for installing the DZ Hboot, and that webpage fully explains why its needed also.

Ok so I'm trying to unroot my phone and was wondering if I should remove the Desire z hboot before flashing the stock pc10img.zip file or will the flash wipe evrything.

If you follow my guide completely(and flash a complete stock rom at the end), they won't be able to tell you ever messed with it.
