Media controls in clock mode? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Was just wondering if anyone knows of a way for there to be media controls when the phone is in clock mode. I had a droid bionic and when i put it in the dock it would go into a nice big clock mode with the abiltity to control the music and thats really the only aspect that i miss. Does anyone have a viable option? even if its an app that works as well as a well made dock mode, that will be fine. I just miss it. Lol.
any suggestions are more than welcome

Scenes Homescreen Shortcut/Widget

I just made a Car Mode Scene. I was hoping there was a faster to way to swap between Car Mode and regular home screen.
Any widgets available on the market or are there any devs working on it right now?
That is something I would like and be willing to pay for.

Dual docks in twa_priv's CM10 w/ STG7 enhancements ROM

I apologize if this question is old hat. I really did try searching the forums for it in advance. Perhaps I was formulating the search in such poorly. I'm relatively unfamiliar with Android terminology.
Anyway, so I have a KF running the ROM mentioned in the title, the CM10 w/ STG7 improvements by twa_priv. Latest iteration. My first Android ROM for the KF, though, was "Jandycane." I switched off of it because A. it couldn't run Chrome and B. my device had absolutely abysmal battery life while using it. But Jandycane's Trebuchet launcher had an option that allowed you to have an app dock on both sides of the home screen simultaneously. It also adjusted far better to switching between portrait & landscape.
Does anyone know the "mode" I'm talking about? Or if there's some way to enable it on other ROMs besides JC? Is there a way to independently install a version of Trebuchet within this mod that allows for dual docks? I'd really like to stick with the ROM I'm on except for this one feature.
I don't know if there is a way to have two app docks. I know you can't have the phone app dock (bottom center) and tablet app dock (upper right) together obviously. If you want easy access to your app dock, though, I would recommend using one of the "gestures" that you can use. It is located in the settings under Launcher, and is the last row. I don't have the button for the app dock enabled because I use the swipe down gesture to control opening up my apps.
As far as switching between portrait and landscape, if you have Auto-rotate screen enabled, it should work pretty well. It does lag a little bit, but I don't think there's anyway to get around that. You might try the auto rotation app featured at this website: http://www.androidtablets.net/forum/nexus-7/44113-how-get-auto-rotation-nexus-7-home-screen-app.html but I don't know how well it works, so no guarantees.
oh, and I also am running twa_priv's ROM...

Thanks for the reply. I'm afraid it's not about access; it's just about having the "dual docks" option Jandycane has, combined with the stability and flexibility of twa_priv's build.

Lag hasn't been the problem at all. What I was trying to get at is, the way icons rotate with the "dual docks" option makes a lot of sense. The top and bottom in portrait become the left and right in landscape, while the center rows & columns remain in the same positions they would have been otherwise. Things which are situated properly in landscape also look good in portrait, and vice versa. Without dual docks, rotating the icons basically behaves the same way the iPad does; if you set it up in portrait, landscape will look terrible. And vice versa.

Lock screen music control?

So I don't know if I'm missing something obvious here, but there seems to be no lock screen music control on this phone. I know in previous versions of TouchWiz you had to use the Samsung music player, but even that doesn't display music control on the lock screen. I could use widget locker but I'd rather not use s 3rd party lock screen app if I don't have to. Any suggestions?

This drives me nuts and was one of the best features of AOSP on the S3. I can't stand not being able to control my podcasts. I think it's going to send me to Widgetlocker.
It just blows my mind that they would remove a feature like this. Anyone else have any ideas?
I've been scratching my head on this one too...
Am I going to have to use a 3rd party player?
You can access your drop down notification panel and control your music that way. It's a standard feature of Jelly Bean.

Google music player will display controls on lock screen.
Tmobile SGH-T889 using xda premium.
That is just one of the problems, has anyone found a widget or feature where you can skip to a certain part of the song rather than just having pause/play, next, back?
I will get flamed but here is a picture from the fruit...*ugh* http://realitypod.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Clear-iPhone-Lock-Screen-from-Album-Artwork.png
WOW!
I guess the interest in doing this is just dead and gone. I am not a developer but I came from the "fruit" and bought the galaxy note II on Sprint and I would like to get some native (at least as close to native as I can get) controls on touchwiz. I know I'm in the T-mobile section but had to post a comment since this thread is about exactly what I want to get. I would be very interested in working on something or at least learning how to work my way around my phone and tweak it since I did so on the fruit phone.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to learning how to tweak my touchwiz lock screen?
I would like to at least try to get something to show up on the lock screen and start from there. Once I get something to show up like a button or a widget then I can maybe link it to the music player or any other player possibly.
I used player pro for a while but it uses it's own lock screen as does power amp and n7player, but to have native controls like the fruit does would be awesome. I would appreciate some help or links to resources while I look around because to me native is better and controls right on the lockscreen are better than notification controls, that's a whole extra step when you're in a car and your phone is docked or propped up on a holder, man it's a no brainer to have at least 3 buttons play/pause and back/forward.

Is there a Landscape - Horizontal desktop docking station

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has seen or heard of a horizontal/landscape docking station / stand for the HTC One. All I see is the portrait one, but I use my phone as an alarm clock as well, and it would be really cool if the alarm app would automatically switch on when it senses it's in a landscape holder of some type. My Original Google Droid had such a holder, and my wife's Sony Xperia Play (don't laugh) also had this accessory.
Alarm clock apps are supposed to be viewed in landscape mode. I have searched on the web, and I don't even see references to even a future product. I thought maybe someone on this forum might have some inside info, unless I overlooked something.
Thanks again for any replies.
Alberto
Just picked up a Otterbox Defender and the belt clip rotates and snaps open to hold your phone in a landscape layout.
The problem is that Sense 5.0 doesn't come with a desktop clock mode like you get in stock Android. HTC doesn't make a desktop dock for the phone, so nothing happens when you plug it into a power source.
I just use a portrait dock and have Tasker launch a desk clock app.

Through HTC Media Link HD there is a horizontal Sense mode so there is probably a way to force this through some tweaks i suppose.
Maybe Trickdroid has that function in the Tweaks app or maybe ViperOne. Haven't tried it though only with Media link HD.
Can't test it myself currently cause i'm at a GPe rom.
Or put the phone in Car mode
