Does anyone have the same issue?

Yes. I have the same problem.
Any way to turn down the in call volume?
I find this so ironic, I was watching a video of a Rep at MWC saying that the device has the drilled-holes for the speaker to prevent vibration and distortion
Guy's is sounds like you have a hardware fault, either live it out or return it to your retailer/send to HTC for a repair. A 'lite' fix might be to turn the in-call volume down. You can do this by simply moving the volume rocker whilst in a call.
in call volume too low how to increase ??
+1
I find it's too low as well. Even on highest volume I've frequently got trouble hearing what ppl are saying... Especially in noisy environments such as on public transport! I'm on InsertCoin 6.1.
I have not yet found an app to boost the volume.
I must use a headset to talk if I want to hear anyone while in a public or noisy place.

i have to have my in call volume on 50% or its too loud, 100% is just a bit quieter than loud speaker.

Maybe that's because of your use of DSP Manager. My ear piece is very weak. It's like listening through a train engineer's wool sock soaked in kerosene and hog fat.

There is no app available that can boost the in-call volume.
I believe the only way that an in-call volume modification can be achieved is by making the necessary changes in the source and building your own kernel. I seem to remember this was done on the Nexus One a while back.
I have my in call volume set at 25% while not in crowded places. While clubbing i use cca 50%, anything more hurts me xD
BTW, thats on stock, 1.29, not rooted, no DSP
My HOX is loud enaugh.
But I faced the same issue when I had the Sensation. Two solutions existed:
1) Non-Rooted, use Volume+, Volume Boost, Louder Volume Hack or Equalizer
2) Rooted, use this guide.

Unfortunately, the apps you listed do not work for increasing the in call volume, apart from Louder Volume Hack but it's very outdated and won't work on the One X (I made it for the original T-Mobile G1 and Google removed the files that it changed when they released the Nexus One).
As it stands, there's no app available that can boost the in call volume, not to my knowledge anyway.

is there any solution for this?
having the same problem too
I have the exact same problem, and it appeared after I rooted and started flashing ROMs, wasn't the case with the stock ROM.
Currently using LeeDroid
Me too...
Thank god i've found more people with this "feature". I've noticed that after flashing LeeDroid 6.4.0. Never noticed that before rooting.
Yeah call volume does suck
On charmeleon

I'm also on LeeDroid 6.4
Having the exact same issue and me too using leedroid 6.4.0
I can't remember weather it was like this before I flashed this rom.
WTF? My in call volume is way too loud. I have to keep the one X 2-3 cm away from my ear sometimes

I think this is more popular issue than we think. I got that problem too on ARHD 7.1.0, hope its only software problem not hardware.
Sometimes sound incall is very good, clear, loud, but mostly its sux, especially when there is more sounds around (streets etc).
Nope..its too loud for me..so I have kept it on half..I am on ARHD 7.1 ..

So its very strange, maybe should try to give back on warranty ?
My back speaker is busted, i broke it when i took the red backing off my phone. Now I want to redirect ALL sound through my front speaker, any suggestions on how this can be done? I know its quiet but need it to have my phone ring. Please help me
No, there is no known way on the Evo to redirect the phones audio from its rear speaker to ear speaker.
Either set vibrating notifications or replace the rear speaker.
That's disappointing, but I appreciate the help, I bought a mini speaker that plugs into the headphone port, that will work til I get my new phone in April, Thanks again!

That won't output notification and ringtones, I don't think. Let me know.
You could use a Bluetooth headset which notifies you VIA the headset of new messages and incoming calls.
My headphones ring when I get a call, so this should work, may depend on ROMs and kernals

Hi!
I have opened my HOX to fix the wi-fi antenna problem and after that the microphone isn't
working anymore. Whan somebody calls, they can't hear me. If I put it to speaker, than
it's working and peaople can hear me.
Is there anything that I might have damaged during opening?
I was really careful.
There is one more thing. I was also listening to the music on my headset before the
problems started, so I'm not sure if dissassembling generated the problem, or maybe
something with earphones connector??
Any ideas?
I have tried factory reset, but it didn't help. Phone is not rooted.
Thank you.
The MIC used when your on headset or speakerphone is the same... so the problems somewhere else... Hmmmmm
Is the mic for normal calls also the same?
I have tried voice search and the mic doesn't pick up anything.
I have the same problem

When in a call, especially with some background noise, irregular call volume. Sometimes very low or absent, then suddenly very loud. Volume keys don't smoothly regulate. One click can make call volume. very loud. No, hearing aid setting is off. Anyone else notice this?

I do...but was gonna blame it on my Bose Bluetooth.

I have noticed that on every phone I've ever used. Landline, cell phone, it didn't matter. At work, our office phones are hit and miss with every call we take, even from the same people using the same phone. It's a connection issue, not a phone issue.
Fixed by increasing volume while on call to max, then min. Phone reset. Now, perfect. This was very likely software problem with noise canceling microphone.
