New Google account.. - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Can I transfer my paid apps from my old account to the new account??

No but you can login to your Android device with multiple Google accounts so you can still install your paid apps

I don't think so, maybe you can contact the developer of your paid app.

I deleted my google account at one point and made a new one, after realizing I had purchased a ton of apps, it was just a waste to try to contact every dev because half of them don't even respond most of the time. Either use the old one, or if you deleted it already get it restored and save yourself a major headache.

Yea, I ended up restoring it. Thanks guys.

Market account ...

Hi,
How does the Market account work?
I meant, when you have a new Android phone, you setup an account, Google Checkout so you can buy some apps from Market.
Now, when you bought a second phone ... can you use the same Google Checkout account? So, you can re-download all the apps that you bought in the phone1 to this new phone.
I am asking this to anticipate the new upcoming Android tablets I really hate if I must re-purchase all the apps
Thanks
I think it's one account per phone. Don't quote me on that though.

Currently, there is nothing stopping you downloading your paid apps to a second device linked to the same account. That may change of course, especially with the new licensing service, but it is certainly the case for now.
Regards,
Dave

New google account

I've recently had to make a new google account due to my email constantly getting signed up for spam. Adding mail filters to block it just got old.
Is there a chance to convice sprint to take repeat app purchases off my bill? I could just back up the paid apps but I want to be able to update them. I have abut $40 in paid apps I use daily.

Update to the newest market, and add both gmails to the phone. You can select different gmails with the new market. New market is on the first page of the general section usually.

Already have the new market but I wasn't aware of this feature. Thanks!

[Q] Facebook contact sync

how can i get my contacts to sync with facebook?
try FriendCaster
i dont mind Friendcaster, but are you saying that syncing contacts isnt possible with FB?
Go into the settings of the phone, accounts, add a Facebook account. Doesn't appear you do it through the App itself.
Edited: Well crap, I'm trying to do it through the Accounts in the phone, but when I select Facebook, it doesn't do anything. Hmmmm.

We are gonna have to wait for the dbags at Facebook to update to the new api's

I seem to remember Facebook having a similar issue when the Incredible first came out. There was an update to fix it, so maybe we're looking at a similar situation here?

It can't be done unless you Flash Paul's MoDaCo Rom. For some reason FB doesn't want to use the new API's...lol I don't know the whole story but its not possible with the stock app.

I just want to confirm that Friendcaster will sync your contacts. Just one BIG problem, you will have a ****load of contacts and you cannot filter out the ones without numbers..
Guys, this is because Facebook wasn't abiding by Google's terms, so they removed the option for syncing facebook contacts. The only viable alternative as of now, is installing Friendcaster.

yeh, that works.. but if your like me, i DO use facebook for some of my phone numbers
I remember hearing about this on Cnet's Buzz out loud
This was talked about a while back on Buzz out loud.
At the time Facebook would import from any source but would not export as they didn't want to give that info out.
In other words they were happy to import all your contact data from any other source so they could get ahold of it. But they did not want to return the favor if you wanted to import your contact info from Facebook into the same source you just imported into Facebook from.
This was a while back, so I don't know if this was resolved. Facebook was claiming they were protecting their user's data.
The general feeling was not too good towards facebook on Buzz out loud. Their feeling was the contact data belongs to the person holding the account and they should be able to sync it if they want to.
It is well known that Facebook has bad blood with Google.
Hopefully this situation has changed as this was several months ago. But with Facebook you really never know what they are gonna do.
I see a lot of posts talking about how facebook sync was removed from the core android features.
I think that misses the point.
Facebook sync was a feature in the facebook app in gingerbread (At least, I can confirm this was the case prior to the app update. I'll confess I didn't go looking for it post update).
If it's currently available in gingerbread, I'd expect we'd see it available in ics following an update to fb.
/totally speculating
Carnagey is right. From what I have seen it won't come until that dispute is resolved...

2 fast and easy questions

Question 1: if I buy an app, lets say tasker, and then i want to install that app to my girlfriends phone.. Would it be enough to restore the App from my titanium copy? Or will it say her phone does not have the license? Is this possible and legal or i gotta buy another app? Seems unfair if I have to...
Also even if not possible for my gf to get the App will it be possible for me to install it in my tablet?.. Using the same google account or could I use another account? Need to clear out this
Question 2: little tutorial for tasker?, i want to do something, im from south América meaning my phone and keyboard (i use swiftkey x pro) are in spanish, but in xda for example i only write in english.. And its annoying the typo corrector since the keyboard its in spanish and every word i type its redlined.. So i Wonder if with tasker i could do something like change swiftkey lenguage to english when i open xda and when i close it, keyboard goes back to spanish

Definitely not legal to just pull the .apk and move it to another phone that didn't buy it. Obviously there are shades of grey here (it's just your GF's phone) but technically you shouldn't be doing this.
If you use the same GMail account and use that as the "Play Store" account you're signed into on both phones, then you should be able to re-download it on either device once it's purchased. This would work best if you each have your own GMail account for personal use, then a "shared" GMail account for app purchases. Otherwise, you'll each have access to the other's emails, contacts, etc..

In reference to question 1.
I had tried installing bionic bootstrap on my girl's bionic after purchasing it on mine. I added my account to her phone and installed it successfully. Used it once when rooting her phone but once my account was no longer the main one being used it disappeared from her apps. As for using it on another device that is yours, that'll work just fine.

Haven't heard about how to do this...
Your apps are tied to your Gmail account, plain and simple. You can have 5 phones running all with your same Gmail account and have all your apps on each.
But you can't give paid apps to other accounts. And I don't think there is a way to switch accounts that I've ever heard.
Sure you can just pull the apk and give it to someone, hacking, but not officially.
Ok so thats clear now... But no1 is answering my second question about tasker :S

How to get a list of purchased apps?

Other than looking at my CC purchase report. Report is OK. I can filter by "Google" and I believe that all the paid apps are included.
But is it possible to do that in Google Play Web or App?
In the Web I can find only all Apps I downloaded and All Apps which are installed. But they are not categorized as purchased or not.
Any ideas?
I wish google would do this also in their play store app, I'm sick of seeing every app I have downloaded over the last 3 years in the all apps tab an I can't even delete them from the list.

Exactly. I can see only a list of every ****ty app I downloaded. It's really annoying that we can't filter the list.
Ditto! I remember the "old" Google market where you can look at just the purchased apps, but now with Google play you can't.
I wish they can create some way to sort.
Now, you might be able to see all you purchased apps on a pc. I think.

I might be wrong, but I think there is a list of those apps if you look through the Google Wallet website.

Nice ! I never even thought of that. G.W. is useless in Canada so far, so I never would think to check that, but lo and behold. Thank you !
It would be nice if Google Play Store could do that though, but at least this way I can view the list, then search the market for specific purchased apps, rather than scrolling thru a jumbled, unorganized mess of crapps I have installed in the past.

No problem. I do agree though, the Play store app needs search filters that allows that.

You can see a list of all purchases if you log into the Google Wallet site, however it also includes all purchases from the play store (music, magazines, offers), so it might still be too much information. My advise would be to install appbrain on your phone and sync the apps to appbrain. It will compile a list of paid applications for you and is a handy way to see how much you have spent in the market. The only short fall of this method is it will not account for apps that were purchased and removed prior to syncing.
Finally!!!
A solution we were looking for: http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/0...apps-in-one-place-with-the-legacy-play-store/
So we have two ways so far:
1) Google Wallet page
2) Hacked old Playstore app
