I need it to both tell me whos calling and make it so when i phone people they can see my number instead of private number... btw I live in Canada so google voice wouldn't really work please someone help...

Any ideas?

The only thing I could think of would be Youmail for voicemail.
As for callerID, do a Google search and a quick market check.

Is there anything out there that will let me change my number on someone elses caller id?

Not an app that I know of, but there are websites that can do that.
Yes there is. Some you have to pay for. Search for "Caller ID Faker" APK in google.
It is FREE, you can even mask your voice. You can only use it for 2 minutes per call though.

Click to collapse
Be careful... Depending on the circumstances, it CAN be illegal to intentionally alter your caller ID.

Hey guys. I'm currently using a gnex running cm10 euroskank nightlies. I have searched the forums and Google but alas no results.
Even with Youmail set to delete messages after one day, and even if I delete a voicemail in the app, I'm still having trouble. For instance if I shuffle all songs in Apollo, voice mails that are old and were deleted just start playing!
This was quite embarrassing with friends in the car... I ran into a gas station and one friend got to hear some pretty nasty things said by the other... Which turned into a physical fight and the police being involved.... Haha all because of you mail!
I feel like it was the makings for one of those directv commercials....

Wow that stinks. its more of an issue with the youmail app. My friend just switched to android and is having issues with the youmail app, but sync issues instead. It seems like this app is poor and needs work.
Bump

Call them up and tell the to turn off you vm and then set your phone to forward to your gv number.

Wait. So I *72 to my gv #? Because if I'm doing that then why would I need to call vzw to disable their voice mail?

Google voice, or regular carrier?

Try dialing *73 to disable call forwarding in case some sort of conditional call forwarding was active.
Then try going to her contract in Gmail, press menu, and see if "all calls to voicemail" is checked.

*73 does not work I'm on straight talk also the all calls to voicemail is not checked.
Thanks for trying to help

I have a sprint S3, my buddy just got a s3 and is on Tmobile while showing him some stuff on his phone I noticed they have a setting for wifi calling in there settings.. It allows him to use his data connection to receive and make calls when he has low cellular signal. I can't find this anywhere on the sprint version. This would be extremely helpful at work when I have no signal.

That is only natively available on T-mobile phones. I wish it was available for us too, that would be cool.

Would it be possible to port it? Or is there an app that would do the same thing?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium
I've never done it, but there's a way to do it with a combination of Google Voice and a VOIP app.
As far as porting it, I'm not a device so I wouldn't know. I think it has more to do with how t-mobile handles it rather than something that's actually on the phone.

I actually do have Google voice integrated what voip app would I need?

Ok if i have the sprint integration of Google voice on my phone? and i download Groove i should be able to use my cell number over wifi?
*on a side note what is the advantages of google voice with sprint integration?
I feel like I saw that feature on ICS and then it went away in JB.
