Anybody know why the devs haven't started a thread for their builds on this in the development section? I know it is out there on goo.im but I have no idea what works and what doesn't... curious to know how close they are to a solid DD.

You can do it from Rom Toolbox if your kernal allows.

Yeah I've been trying that, it says it's installed, but the boot animation isn't there when I reboot.

I think kernal has to support init.d. Which kernal you running?
Ktoonsez kernal supports it, but I haven't tried it.

Yes, did you flash kernal seperately or with a ROM? I'm not sure but maybe ROM has something to do with it also. I'm running Jellybomb 10.2 ROM/ktoonsez kernal.

Must be ROM specific then. It works perfectly on Jellybomb.

Is this the only way? I think on my old HTC, I just had to put the bootanimation.zip in a certain location. Can I do that or do I need ROM toolbox?

It installs 4.3's camera & gallery, as posted above, and lets you use Photo Sphere. After installed you'll have 2 cameras amd 2 galleries. Confirmed working on CleanROM ACE

Move the original camera apk out of the system-apps folder and then install new apk.

It's the same gallery/camera that's been floating around for a week or so, I installed it last week with no issues. If you want both cameras then this is for you, supposedly it's the camera from the S4,but I don't care for it. Our camera already has panorama so aside from a fresh look, this camera offers no advancement over what we already have. And in fact this new camera had far less features.
The galleries are exactly the same.

I have it working on the latest PACMan nightly. Download Titanium Backup and delete the current gallery.apk then install like normal .apk

No you don't want to delete the old apk or else you won't be able to go back to the old camera/gallery should you want to (which you just might seeing as how the new camera/gallery isn't ad feature rich). You want to rename the old apk to "name". bak

Just made a copy and saved it to SD card before deleting. A lot easier to me.

Is there a fix for the speaker volume to be louder on cm 10.1 . Since It does lose the loud volume of the note 2 . I really enjoyed cm 10 but had to restore due to the lack of loudness since I do use speakers for music frequently . Thanks

Not that I know of, but then again I uninstalled as soon as I found bluetooth 4 is broken on all CM roms ATM.
I would like a fix for this too I tried modifiing etc/sound tiny.XML to no avail if any devs would care to chime in it would be greatly appreciated

Neak kernel screwed up my carbon aosp rom. Battery and reflashing original nightly fixed the ROM but audio problems not solved.

Maybe it's just Carbon, didn't give it a try with CM10.1 but there shouldn't be any difference
EDIT: does the same on CM 10.1 - can't boot using neak kernel. I did wipe cache/davlik fix permissions before and after flashing the kernel. Back to original CM

There is a link in post 24 of the Neak thread carbon is a mix rom. I had the same thing happen to me when using the 1.6 version

Not sure but the op isn't updated, had to search through neak kernel forum to find this
As stated by many the kernel info shows only 'unavailable' once you go to settings/about phone.
This is normal.
Volume is better indeed.
is there a way to change the % of transparency on this rom? im using note2 tweaked 2.3 thanks!

ive downloaded the 2.3 modificatiator but there is no setting for the transparency. I know I saw it in the 2.2 modificator but can I use the 2.2 mod in the 2.3 rom?
