[Q] What is this icon?

I have a random icon in my notification bar. I am referring to the white square with the two arrow looking things. Its so annoying. Anybody know what it is?

Can it be changed? Afects the funcionality of the screen? Like on samsung galaxy screens?(this one cant be removed ...)

Yes, you have the NFC turned on. It's not listed in the manual. There are a number of other icons not in the manual as well.
