Is it possible to turn off the notification sounds (email, text) and not the actual ringer?

You can disable notifications manually.
In CM9 you can un-link notification and ringtone volumes and mutes and selectively mute or raise/lower the volume of one without affecting the other.

I HAD THE SOUND PROFILE ON SILENT, LOL.
I have Cm10 night 10/10/12 and when I get a phone call it doesn't ring anymore. All settings appear to be on. Any suggestions? Thanks

Go to settings/sound/volumes increase all volumes to max should be fine after.
As stated all settings are correct, including all the volume sliders

I Held down the power button and changed the sound profile to default
Hi guys, I have a question about vibration settings.
I want to make it so that SMS does NOT vibrate on sound mode but DOES vibrate on silent mode. I used to be able to do this in the S2 but in the S3 I don't see vibrate "only on silent" option anymore. It either always vibrates or never vibrates. Is there any way to do this with the stock messaging app?
Thank you!

Any way to make the notification volume and ringtone volumes equal so the volume rocker controls them both?
Thanks

Anyone know how to make the vibrate shorter for things like sms without a separate sms app?
The whole vibrate for 4 seconds every time a message comes in is ridiculous. What a battery kill.

You have a custom vibration maker pre installed on your gn2

Yup, there are several presets as well as intensity settings and the option to bind with ring and to turn it off. Settings - sound

the vibration settings is only for calls. notifications always have the long vibration no matter which setting you select. i've read that light flow will do it but haven't tried it myself.

This reply was the only one related to my problem. I am stock rom no other custom apps for notifications. I wasnt talking about calls either. Just text/sms vibrations

Is there an app that'll let me set a custom ringtone for my voicemail aside from it having the same ringtone as regular notification ringtone as everything else?
