It works for me, thanks!

Changing to US language didn't work for me. I had to defrost it in titanium backup, then it started working.
Thanks.
Is there any other apps that need defrosting? Google Wallet?
...
To answer my own question. I found the option to show frozen apps in titanium backup
So for the UK frozen were:
Google Ears - Sound Search
Google Play Magazines 1.0
Wallet 1.1-R67-v5

I got it to defrost both Google Ears and Google Play Magazines. I already had Google Wallet working Anyways, when I go to open Play Magazines, it says to look for mags in the Play Store so I click it, but it doesn't list the Magazines topic. Any help with this?

Does these apps freeze again after a reboot?
In my phone they do. I honestly only care about Sound search. In Venezuela there's no use for Books, Magazines, Movies or Wallet.
But I'd like to have Sound Search permanently enabled.
I do have the phone set to US English.
Cheers!

Hi el_charlie,
same for me - after rebooting the widget is removed and I have to defrost it again.
Did you already find a solution?
Michael

Use Package Enabler from play store. It will automatically unfreeze those apps after a reboot

Google Music/Google Books updated

So I just noticed this (and it was not there this morning at around8 when I looked at updates)
Both Google Music and Google Books were updated but they also come with name changes. Google Music is now Play Music and Books is now Play Books Along with the name changes comes new Icons for them now also. Not really sure about the name change (since I just got them installed and just now starting to play with them) figured I'd let a few ppl know incase you didn't look.
Play Music is now v 4.1.513
Play Books is now 2.3.5(20305)
Nice find!
The name change has to do with Google recently having a bunch of site domains registered under "Google Play". Speculation is that it's for the nexus tablet coming out.

Ah interesting. So far music does seam a bit more smooth (on FB27 will test it with FC05 later today once I have it installed) But noticeably smoother scrolling of the list for sure
Google is changing the name of the Android Market to Google Play. Everything exactly the same except the name and logo. This is just the beginning of the changes.

According to Engadget, it'll be called the Play Store lol and, as mentioned above, it'll come with Play Books, Play Music, and Play Movies. GPlay FTW!
Oh, and they're gonna have a "Seven Days to Play" sale, so look out for deals in the near future
Google really needs to standardize the Games experience.
Call it "Google games" and have it associated with your Google account (G+)
One user name for all online games.
That would really help the games aspect of the market.

The new market/google play is supposed to be going out to gnex right now. Has any one got a hold of the apk yet?

Help with Play Movies

Google's Play Movie service is now available in Australia, but the app is hidden in my app drawer (I'm guessing because the service was not available previously and Google hid the app).
I rented a movie but I'm unable to watch it. When I choose YouTube to view it, it says unsupported codec or something.
When I search for Play Movie in the Market, it says that its installed.. but its not listed under "My Apps".
How can I get Play Movies to appear so I can watch movies?
Will greatly appreciate any help.

Same for me. It is listed as installed but I dont see it or can open it.
Is there a way to unhide it?
If you're rooted, use Titanium Backup to defrost it.
Mostly Movies, Magazines, Books and Sound Search (Google Ears) are frozen by default if you're outside US or Canada. I said mostly because for some users in some countries the apps are there.
Cheers!

Jelly Bean Outside US new restrictions?

So I have been using 4.1 on my Gnex for the past couple of days (Outside the US).
Installed Play Movies and Google Earth from US market using market enabler.
I am unable to see or open these apps even though they are installed on my phone.
I even got an update for play books.
The open links in the play store have disappeared and the apps are not shown in the drawer either.
I can confirm they are installed and the issue only affects 'US Play store only' apps.
Highly disappointed, anyone else facing this issue and any solutions?
This is not an ussue..
Where do u live ? I live in Brazil and google cannot sell books here yet, so the app doesnt work

Everything working fine in UK
I'm in India, i understand not being able to use services not available in the country. But i'm not able to see or open the app. Even Google earth seems to be affected by the issue.

I am in India too, and I managed to install the Play Books and Play Movies app through the Google Play website. I was also able to install Google earth.
In Play Books and Movies, if you click the market button, it just takes you to the apps store and not to the respective app sections though..
Found a fix!
Not sure why none of you are facing this issue but I tried stock 4.1 and awesomebeats.
Anyway I noticed the apps that were invisible in the drawer were highlighted blue in titanium backup. I selected the "Defrost" option for each in titanium and those apps are now available. Thanks for the replies guys.

Google Sound Search (For UK Nexus 7)

Not seen this mentioned, probably because the US ones have it as stock.
As Play music isn't available over here, Google have frozen the app out on UK N7s. If you've got Titanium backup installed, just defrost "Sound Search For Google Play 1.0.1" and it will now appear in your widget list.
Obviously it can only be used for song identification, if you click the widget after it has identified a song it will just open a Chrome page letting you know that Play Music isn't available in your country.
It works extremely well, just as you'd expect from a Google search product

Just a note, the OS refreezes it when you restart the device which buggers up the widget. You just need to defrost it again and put the widget back on the homescreen

I've discovered it yesterday, along with Google Wallet, Books, Magazines and Video... All of these were frozen in my device.
Great stuff.
If your in the UK. Use a free us proxy server to sign into play music once. And you will have play music from then on

I used Spotflux to get onto Play Music on my PC (Lets you download Play Music uploader and use your 20,000 song allowance) but it still won't enable you to buy music from this widget.

[FIX]Google play not working in some countries

I have found a possible fix for Google play not running in certain countries it has something to do with Google play services update if you uninstall it every thing will be fine.
It may sound stupid but it works for me.
If I helped you press thanks
If no then sorry
Or you could just use Market enabler...
