I've tested the amazing spiderman game and it didn't work, does Gameloft games work on Jelly Bean yet or aren't them not compatible with jelly bean yet?
Any possibility to get them work by editing build.prop..?

Since its a new firmware....a lot of apps and games will not be compatible that is why I am refraining from updating to jellybean until most apps are updated

Okay, for me all other games works than gameloft games..
when I got galaxy Nexus with "YAKJUXW" build, then Gameloft games didn't work too, now I'm using Jelly Bean and now again I have to wait when Gameloft makes the games compatible on Jelly Bean..
Jelly Bean is really nice so I don't want to go back ICS.
I usually play only Temple run or Angry Birds space and GNES games so it doesn't mind if it takes something 5 months to be able to play gameloft games on Jelly Bean ROM..
Hate to tell you buddy but the bastards over at gameloft can't even get off their asses to port their games to ics, its gonna be a long hard wait mate

It's hit and miss. Modern Combat 3 works, Nova 3 doesn't, The Amazing Spiderman works (and is smoother on OTA JB than the preview build). Mass Effect Infiltrator (an EA game) didn't work on preview build for me, started working on the OTA one.
Guess some need to be made compatible. Let's hope Gameloft can do that soon. Nothing wrong with hoping

Yeah same here some of them successfully installed and played at the beginning then it will suddenly stop.. i have ics tab.

i have this problems too with cyanogen 10. NFS most wanted 2 works on ice cream sandwich.

Hi all
This is my first flagship android device so I was looking forward to playing top games such as mass effect infiltrator, dead space, nova 3 etc
To my surprise, they aren't available for my device! Considering this is the flagship android phone out at the moment what is going on here?
Will these games become available in the next few weeks as the developers roll out updates or do we need to email them to make them aware of the issue?
I live in the UK and am on o2 btw

Oddly Dead Space is listed as 'incompatible' on the play store... but if I restore it from my SGS2 using titanium backup it works perfectly on my GS3 (just with low res sgs2 textures)
So probably just needs EA to pull their thumb out and update their list, rather than making any actual changes to the game...
If it works with low res then they won't release it. There are loads of games I have bought for my previous phone that don't work on my 1x, pretty annoying really

The games might be available in the coming weeks as devs need to add S3 as a supported device.. plus some games are country specific. The developers can tell playstore to provide the game/app in some country and not to do so in other countries.
Pk am i missing something cos I can't find these on the store anywhere?

Nova 3 and Asphalt 6 are both available on the market for me now. I think they must have added them last night. I guess its just a case of adding the device to the list of compatible devices, we know the phone can easily handle any of these games its just a case of the developers updating the market!
That still leaves Mass effect infiltrator, Dead Space and shadowgun THD that I can't see. Does anyone know what the best way is to make sure they get added? Can we email the developer or make requests to google play through the market?

You will NEVER see this one: it's a "Tegra3 only" game
But Shadowgun is available on market for S3
Looks like Max Payne won't be available initially for the S3, this suxsss.
Mass effect infiltrator works from my friends s2 backup but the audio is a little choppy.
I guess ea have to make improve it's compatibility with the s3. I've already emailed them on this matter.

Obviously the sources can't be promoted outrightly on xda as they are considered warez

Peggle is also not available for this handset. My titanium backup of my PAID app is also no use as it's one of those apps that just KNOWS you didn't reinstall it directly from the market.

I'd be wary, many of these apk's are repackaged with malware.

It's possible. But NO ONE will do it. It would mean reverse engineering almost all of the code. That's too much work. Why would you want to go back to gingerbread anyways? That's a major downgrade in software from 4.0. I see no point in it.

lol it's been done twice...none have been released..

if i get a base i can port some fancy ROM
GB is nowhere near as smooth as ics/jb. Even my old hero have a smoother scroll in ICS than in GB. That being said, it will be so hard to make wifi, bluetooth and camera working, not to mention that we will need a kernel done from scratch and i am 1000% sure that maxwen doesn't want to do another one for us! Just be happy that you at least have 4.1.2 and in the future we will have 4.2!

Porting GB, I was thinking this the other day. Gingerbread on this would most likely be a fun Rom, as in nothing really working. It would be an accomplishment though.

2) I want GB because new games pisses me off, especially those from Gameloft... but there're some games form GL great times, e.g. Dungeon Hunter 2 or N.O.V.A. 2... last days I wanted to play Gangstar West Coast Hustle and Miami Vindication, but with no luck :/... I was thinking about Moder Combat 2 Black Pegasus, too, but I've found version working on ICS few months ago
But if no one likes to get back to old times sometimes, then we have no reasons to talk about that...

You dont need chainfire 3D or root access to play games on S2. nfs mw and most of other HD games run smoothly on stock roms

Dude instead of using chainfire 3d, You can root your phone and install an awesome rom! Your phone will then become much better and trust me its an easy task. It just needs a little bit of work but remember to read through everything.

For a first timer I would recommend something more stable like 4.0.4 instead of jb leak. You could try chameleon 2.1. It's really fast and stable.

I updated my nexus 7 to android 4.3 and when I installed puddle the it said it was only compatible with tetra 3 devices.

Not Google's fault totally. The game devs develop their games based at whatever Android version is out at the time; you're just gonna have to wait for the devs to release compatibility patches for 4.3. :thumbup:

i am 110% it worked on my nexus 7 running 4.3, i was using an aosp rom (jss15j) and it was the free version, just wanted to test

Well i decided to test it out myself... so updated to 4.3 and tested Shadowngun THD and Guerrilla Bob THD... both works...

How did you install android 4.3? Through the tablet so you got the update or downloaded the factory image and done it through adb?
I done it through adb and tried Puddle THD and it didn't work.
The problem continues...
I installed through adb, but when wugfresh toolkit started supporting I flashed through it another factory image just for fun, but I suggest you unlock bootloader and root it, then flash cleanrom 4.0 (if you have a grouper) if you have tilapia try aosp build jss15j, it is amazingly fast, way faster than stock
