Everything opens really slow and a a few different things force close. It's fine for a couple minutes after a reboot, then it starts again. I know someone is gonna tell me to go to settings and manage applications, it force closes every single time. I all rooted. Any ideas on what to try

Guys I'm running decks evo-gingerbread-deck-1.2.1 coupled with the tiamat 4.0.6 I'm having trouble downloading anything that isn't from the market itself. Everytime I try to download it shows up with an error message saying unsuccessful. Also every app on my phone is force closing at random. Rom manager, youtube, gallery, facebook, etc. Any ideas?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
reflash the rom, and try a different kernal this time
I've tried this multiple times. Same result
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
you have tried a different kernal?
I've tried the stock kernel for the rom, synergy, and tiamat including sbc.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
Make sure you wipe everything besides the sdcard. Once the ROM installed wipe dalvik cache before installing the kernel. I have found this to help fix the FC.
Thanks guys the force close issue is fixed but it still will not allow me to DL outside xda or the market

Clear the market data/cache.
Also, delete the "android.secure" folder on your sdcard.
You should also run fix permissions to correct force close issues.
I can't figure out how to fix permissions with amon-ra recovery

In recovery, select other, then fix uid mismatches. That's it. Also, if you have rom manager you can fix permissions from there as well.

How much free space have you got?
Settings -> Storage -> Internal storage.
The app that you are trying to download in the screenshot requires 40 MB of free space.
You could try using app2sd to move some of the larger apps that you have installed to the SD card.
264mb free

Thats the problem. If you have no space left in /cache/ because your DC is taking up the space.

So what i can do ?
Sent from my R800i using xda premium
1) Clear all cache/data of the market by going into settings>Applications?Manage Applications? Selecting the market app > Clear data/cache.
2) Try removing the memory card and restarting the phone - this can for some reason bug it up as well :S.
3) Try removing the phones battery for around 5mins and then putting it back in.
4) Try using wifi if available and check if the market works with this if so: you have either entered the wrong APN settings and/or not enabled data in settings>Wireless & Network.
5) Sign into the google talk application - again something which fixes it for some people and i have no reason as to why.
6) You may have changed your google account from @googlemail.co.uk to @gmail.com or something similar - check this first.
7) If none of these work the only thing I can suggest is you do a factory reset, this resets everything on your phone and clears all data so save your contacts, music, pictures etc before you do this. The procedure for this depends on your phone.
8) Try checking the date/time, market sometimes bugs up due to the date/time being incorrect.
I did factory reset.
I have now the old market.
And i lost the root access.
What now ?

Both wont hurt. Make sure use use TDJ's cache wipe to properly fix permissions too.
Use Darkside Cache Wipe and it will fix the hang problem.
Thanks Atmazzz, ICS now is awesome. I am still thinking about trying Darkside Evolution, I just wish the YouTube update was smoother.

menu, settings, apps, manage apps, find playstore, clear cache, clear data, then find one called google services, clear cache, clear data, reboot while standing on one foot covered in peanut butter saying I'm a dirty little midget, and you should be good to go.

Just to clarify, you want to wipe data and cache on Google Services Framework. I just got this issue yesterday on PA, none of that fixed it, even reflashing gapps didn't work, ended up wiping and reflashing everything.
The only thing you have to do is delete the google update and you be fine.
