The auto-subscribe feature just isn't working...
So does anyone know how do I view my particiapted threads on the xda desktop site...?
There is already "participated threads with new posts" feature in the app, so any similar feature on the site?

I'll keep that as a "last option"...
And the admins probably know about it already, since a few senior mods have also confirmed that they face this problem...
Any other solution/workaround (apart from using the app, all day) ?

Ah - my bad. Yeah, it creates a new search each time. I had seen it and assumed (stupidly) that it was just a search by user ID.
Search has been so unreliable recently it's crazy
A possible workaround, although it's not exactly ideal, is to type the following into Google
site:http://forum.xda-developers.com "a.cid"
Click to collapse
If you have some idea of the thread title then you could put that in there as well and narrow it down a little?
You can do this by going to the forum home, choosing Advanced Search, typing in your username, making sure the "Search All Open Forums" and "Show Results as Threads" selections are highlighted. The default sort order of the results is last threads with a post are at the top.
Thanks everyone!
With the search finally working, I can see my participated threads...
That solves part of my dilemma...
Thank you...

Could you please edit the title and put [SOLVED] or something similar there? Thanks!
Thanks for this! I have to search throughout the forums for this. I really think this should be a basic feature in the desktop site option just as it is like in the app itself. Just my 2 cents
Thank you gentleman . Just made life easier on the Laptop .

The xda-developers.com main site has a new front page. It's still very much a work in progress, and it will change significantly still over the next few days and weeks.
But please have a look and say whether you like it.
The articles currently available through the front age will find their way into the forum over the next week as well, and they'll get their own small box on the front page.
If you can, please help turn the XDA-developer news service succeed. With so much going on, I feel it's important we have some kind of editorial summary in order not to drive people nuts.
everything is fine except........ wheres the links to the pages like connectors ect...
WOW new front page, looks good too!
But for some reason I'm unable to logon with Pocket IE.
FYI the below error is whats being reported:
Template->make_filename(): Error - file does not exit
No Pocket IE what am I going to now!

Ehm, whoops, I forgot to say currently it only works with the XDAdevelopers theme... Same goes for the encyclopedia. I'll fix that soon.
:?:
I can get to the forums but where did the rest of xdadevelopers go? The links to the tools, tutorials, pictures, etc... Seems I can't find the links to these areas off of the new home page...
Always get "Template->make_filename(): Error - file does not exist".
Did some testing, found out that it is related to being logged in.
If I log out, the site opens normal.
When I log in again on the site, I get this error again.
Tested with IE 6.0 and Mozilla 1.4.1

OK, but loved the sub-silver more then the yellow. Think it's to flashy.
Thank god it's just yellow and not orange

What I mean is it looks daunting task at first.. But it's really easy..
If you can't even make such small contribution towards community, then how can you help in dev section.. If you have enough knowledge to help in dev section can't you help non tech savvy people in question & answer section?

I have to click the main link on the top of the page every time I want to go back
Also we now have add's with sound! so bad!

One time I got five url's between the forum page and the thread page. And clicking the forum link to go back is annoying as you always return to Page 1 of the forum instead of the page you were on.

From orb's response they don't care. He suggests in an offhand way to install another browser other than internet explorer.
I'll forward this to our Server admin and if there is a problem to solve XDA will do the best to fix it as usual.
In the meantime this thread will be closed.

Back-button [still] not working in xda-developers on IE

1. The problem is unchanged for me; I am still seeing the issue, where (just for the sake of clarity):
"the issue" == a. hitting the back-button doesn't appear to change the displayed page when viewing any page of xda-developers.com with Internet Explorer;
b. depending on what page you are viewing, hitting the back-button might or might not change the IE history-list that you see when you click on the little blue triangle to the left of the URL entry text-box drop-down. Ditto for the IE history-list that you see in the IE history "explorer bar" that you get when you choose to "View By Order Visited Today."
I am using IE 9.0.8112.16421.
Note 1: FWIW, my browser doesn't seem to go to any pages in the domain that is the title of this thread. The unexpected pages in my history list (and there are LOTS of them) are all in one of the two following domains: statc.liftdna.com and mediaservices-d-openxenterprise.com.
Note 2: The title of this thread doesn't really help very much those people who are searching for answers to the problem that the back-button doesn't work. Since there seems to be almost a fetish on this forum about the pleasures of searching for previous posts, perhaps the title of the thread can be changed so that more people (and apparent non-people such as newbies like me) will get more satisfaction from their searches?
Note 3: there is another thread on the same topic that someone has opened up (appropriately enough) in the forum:
AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Q&A.
The thread is called "IE Back Button within forums".
Being a newbie, I can't post in such a development forum and point him to here.
We just went live with a great new feature on XDA to help users keep track of who quotes and mentions them. You can read about it here.
Use this thread to provide feedback and report any bugs you experience with the new system.
FAQ:
Q: I hate this. How do I turn off all emails and notifications?
A: Go here and check off: hide mention alerts, hide quote alerts, disable mention emails, disable quote emails.
Q: I kind of like this. I only want certain people to be able to mention and quote me. How do I do it?
A. Go here and check off either "enable mention restrictions" or "enable quote restrictions". Then add people to your friends list that you only want to be able to mention or quote you. Boom.
Q: I love this. XDA rules. I don't have a question.
A: :highfive: :good:
Thank you XDA! Much awaited feature! I hope it works the same way in the XDA App also..

In this page, the term 'VideoCall' exists. You can find it w/ CTL-F, or whatever your browser supports:

XDA 2015 themes use Search Plus engine powered by algolia.com to do in-thread searches. Search plus doesn't exist with older themes.
I think what is indexed by the search engine on XDA is possibly what has been posted after January 2015. It would be needed to check for other threads but in the [APP][2.1+] ExDialer - Dialer & Contacts thread, the first post referenced in search plus base in this one from January 22nd 2015. If you use in-thread with search plus on 2015 theme, I think you will find everything after January 22nd 2015.
These are my findings and what I knew.
Thank you Thank you Thank you!
I am perfectly fine w/ 2013

I can't stand this new forum layout. I'm just trying to see if there's any ROM's or kernels for this device and I cannot find the right section. Would have taken me less than 2 minutes on the old forums.
I never buy a day one smartphone so I don't know if it's normal or not (it's not a criticism at all) but is it normal that a month after the release there is still no TWRP and ROM development with this device?

There's no way to do it with the XDA mobile app that I can find. I also haven't found a way to watch/follow only specific filters the way I previously followed subforums (e.g. get alerts only when someone posts a new thread in Development or Themes/Mods).

I apologise I don't use the app. Maybe someone knowledgable knows in this thread:
Check out the new XDA app! Let us know what you think [App rolling out now]
The new app is just an upgrade to the current XDA app, so you should be able to just go into Play and hit "Update" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xda.labs.play The app is rolling out now, and will take hours to get to...
