Case-Mate Pop S3 Review (Built in Stand) - Galaxy S III Accessories

A review of the Case-mate pop case, really good case overall!
Link
Any feedback is more than welcome :good:

I'm not liking it and I'm a huge fan of this case for my i9100. The kickstand on this case is shorter and more flexible than the i9100, so this gives it a really bad viewing angle. Also the kickstand on the i9300 is a lot closer to the edge of the case which makes the phone tippy. As I stated I'm a huge fan of this style case, just not digging this one.

[Q] what is the best fit cover /case for tmobile samsung galaxy s2?

apparently there are no many options out there
the tmobile one is bulky and heavy
i found some on amazon which are light weighted and thin but they say the are not cut precisely especially at the button to the way that covers the mic
any idea ?suggestions ?
D30 is what a lot of people are using, Incipio just came out with some, Otterbox = no, Trident by the end of the month, and Seidio pretty soon.
Oh, I'm using the Body Glove Revel (T-Mobile) with a Realook and loving it.
Sent from my Juggernaut SGSII or Galaxy Tab 10.1 now "In Paris"
what about the Belkin translucent grippable protection from target ?
Trident has always been a reputable case provider for my previous phones. Check out tridentcase.com. I believe the T-Mobile version will be out soon. Their cases are very stylish and protective in my oppinion.

My tpu case just came the mic hole seems to be properly aligned now. It wraps tightly around the phone no loose parts. its not a lint collector either.

I personally hated the D30... the power button was difficult to press with it on. I bought a $9 tpu from Amazon and IMHO think its a million times better... my Michael hole was off but nothing a razor blade couldn't handle. IV ordered the incipio feather case (more my style) and it should be here tomorrow. Ill post some pics when I have hands on.

Black. I always rock black... well, my white i9100 I had a silver breathe case.. but I like to keep it neutral. I LOVE the breathe case. As previously stated, not much in drop protection, but its slim and light and doesn't even feel like you have a case on at all... that's what I look for in a case... I hate the clucky stuff.

Yea, normally I do black too, but figured I'd switch it up for this.
I hate bulky cases too and just want something for a little added protection.

You can just try the white body body glove that tmobile is selling. It fits nice and very well. In my opinion its the best that I have ever seen.
The argyle tpu case fits suprisingly well for only 5 bucks shipped from amazon

I had the otterbox commuter for my sensation and loved it. For my s2 I was looking for something comparable, and the best so far I've tried is the incipio case. It comes with a rubber inner and a nice smooth outer hard case. Comes with a screen protector too. Very solid case, no complaints from me. Looks sharp too

I have the Ballistic SG case and I think it's the best protective hybrid case.
Everything feels solid, no loose fitting silicone, and looks cool. Pretty much a tank; I've dropped my phone twice since I've had it, and I haven't even flinched.
The Incipio Silicrylic looks nice (prob best looking hybrid), but in that video review I saw (posted in this forum), the really loose fitting silicone on the sides would drive me nuts. Plus I saw how the dude could pop the phone right out of the case like a cheap silicone case... wouldn't trust it on a serious drop.
I am using the white body glove case and no complaints so far.
D3O
the D3O Dual is very nice!!!!!!!!!
I too got the body glove case for my new s g s 2, but I've noticed that the front corners are exposed and vulnerable to damage if I drop it.
I got a purple Diztronic TPU case from Amazon & it's really nice. I also have the white body glove case, but I don't use it all that much cause I'm just not crazy about white :/

PDair leather case has arrived

My black crocodile-styled PDair bookflip case just arrived today. While it makes my GN look and feel classy, it also adds some girth to the originally slim contour. I've enlosed some pics for those of you who are looking for a decent yet inexpensive leather case (less than US$40). What do you think?
Sent from my HTC EVO 3D X515m using xda premium
Too thick, the OEM case is much nicer IMO.
Don't like the crocodile style much. But I guess that's personal choice.
I've gone for the standard black smooth PD Air which should hopefully be with me in a couple of days. I'll also post some pics when it arrives.

wow。internal looks really nice
Im loving that, where can i find the croc skin one in the uk?
how pocketable is it? how much bigger is it?
Please add some side shots so we can tell how thick it is, thanks.
Oh, and an opened case pic too.
- Frank
looks way too big for me, doesnt seem very pocketable but thats also a personal opinion

It effectively doubles the thickness of my GN. Still pocketable in my office pants and barely noticeable.

hello

i'm looking for a nice case, and i was thing about this Pdair but then i saw a melkco!
it looks really nice because you can use it as a stand also
you can find it on carrymobile kios type
how about this one?
Sadly they sent me two of these:

Since I got my TPU case, I'm not in the need for the PDAir's anymore. I'll gladly sell both of my leather cases to someone.
I could buy one but I'm from Hungary.

Otterbox Defender Review

Finally I got it, I tested it and I reviewed it
A very solid case, I like the feel..there are a little things that I will change tho. Specially with ballistic, beyond cell, etc coming in with new products to compete
Enjoy!

The Commuter case is better IMHO.

I like the commuter case better too. And it fits in to the Siedo surface holster well.
how is the defender thicker than the commuter case?by how many mm? mind telling?
thanks
The defender case is not a good case. At least that has been my experience. Loved it on my Evo 3D as it kept it very safe and secure, on the Galaxy Nexus it has caused damage.

i am too interested in this. i was going to purchase this case as soon as i get my nexus in
Sorry to kind of hijack this thread but after using the defender for over six weeks, this is my conclusion.
http://youtu.be/tUQudxG0E0E
I picked up a Defender because I didn't want to leave this phone totally unprotected. The case fits snugly and looks like it will give solid protection..however ( there's always a but I don't care for the screen protector, it makes text a bit blurry, the Defender also makes the phone rather bulky.
I'll use this case during the work week but will be looking for something slimmer & more elegant for weekends & special events.

i totally agree, I ended up removing the built in defender screen protector with goo gone and applied my own screen protector to the surface glass.

I am using the otterbox commuter case with the seidio active holster... works great.
I just bought a defender, and am loving it, just a! Question. On the otter box site, some have said it fits with the Samsung extended battery. Can anyone confirm this? It does seem to have a little play with the OEM battery so I'm hoping it will.

That sucks that the member above had such a bad experience with this case. I have to think that somehow that particular case was defective. My Nexus doesn't move around one bit, even with the standard size battery. No movement at all. I also show no signs of wear whatsoever around the earpiece and ff camera. I've used this case almost exclusively since December 23rd.

I used the Defender series with my Galaxy Nexus with extended battery and it fits. Although, I too thought about removing the screen protector. It seems to take away from the screen vibrancy. I never liked or used screen protectors and dont like it on my case.

I would like your opinion about this case.

Lately i have seen a lot of posts about broken gs3 screens, and i'm really afraid that something like that could happen to my beloved gs3.
At this moment i am using a regular silicon case, which i don't believe gives me enough protection.
So i have been researching the best case to protect my phone without adding much bulkiness.
I found this option on amazon and it seems quite interesting....and good looking.
http://www.amazon.com/Urban-Armor-G...TF8&colid=1DR9PV9J5Z87D&coliid=I3VQFO7QIOFFZM
A little expensive but if protects my gs3 i won't care
So...what do think about it guys ?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
It looks abit bulky but should do the job.
But maybe take a look on ebay for it. Maybe find it a little bit cheaper
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Looks too One X or death star to me. It totally ruins the elegant look the GS3 goes for.
If I and to get a bulky case, I would go for Capdase armor jacket. Although I am not sure if the Aluminum kills reception or not.
Nahh...i've droped mine a couple of times with and without a tpu case and not a single scratch mate....
I also saw some drop/durability tests and i've seen the S3 is strong!
Maybe the first units had durability issues...?
Anyway i would spend money if i were you...
But if you want to stay free of guilts not buing a decent case undoubtly get an otterbox!
they're simply the best! You wont regret it....
Seems like good protection, but I like more the looks of the Otterbox Commuter for a "bulky case" (And I've heard is one of the betters in matters of protection). I'm supposed to get an Incipio Silicrylic any time this week, I decided to go for it because I thought a Commuter was overkill for my daily use and the Incipio seems to be stylish. I hope I don't regret that choice
Also, I think this should be in the Accessories section?
Well for what i have seen it the thinnest of the bulky cases. That is why i've got so interested. Also it looks pretty bad ass.
But i will check all your suggestions too.
I am still searching for a case to my new toy..the N7.

Just got mine from US to UK, took less than a week to arrive
After 2 official samsung flip cases fell apart (1 in first 10 days) I saw this and liked the look of it.
It's obviously more bulky than before but not enough to bother me. It's fairly lightweight too. Having side protection as well as the cool looking back won me over.
It Cost me £28 including delivery. Having spent over £16 (£30rrp) before on the samsung cases I can tell you the quality is far superior.
You get a screen protector included too (after a lot of time and swearing trying to fit the bast**do with no dust trapped) looks pretty good.

Case-Mate Phantom?

One of the cases that seem to be overlooked on this forum is the Case-Mate Phantom (seen here: http://www.case-mate.com/Samsung-Galaxy-S-III-Cases/Case-Mate-Samsung-Galaxy-S3-Phantom-Cases.asp). I am planning on switching to it from my Otterbox Defender since it has gone way down in quality. What are your experiences with the Case-Mate Phantom?

I don't mind it as long as dirt doesn't get stuck under it. I never had that issue with the OBD on my Atrix 4G but I constantly have to clean it on the SGS III.

Its not too bad. It makes it a little wide but it remains slim. I did remove the built in protector because I like my curved crystal. To each there own I guess.
Looks pretty good imo..
I have it and its pretty nice. Makes it wide but slim compared to the defender. Feels great while typing due to the extra width. But im using the Casemate Tough for the time being, its smaller and lighter but withstood a nasty fall onto concrete
