Looking for a LONG HDMI Cable so i can control my Xoom from the couch. 15 to 25 feet

Has anyone purchased or researched this yet?
I know that a regular HDMI 25' cable is about $15

But i need the mini HDMI to HDMI
I see ton's of them that are 6', but i want to use in my living room..
Anyone?
Monoprice has a 15' cable for $5.24.

This is about as long as I have found. You may have to use an extension cable for anything beyond 15'.
A 25' extension cable on Monoprice is $20.

Have you tested it?
Use a standard HDMI long cable and a mini to standard HDMI adapter. Amazon and pretty much everyone else seems to carry the adapters for reasonable prices.

Duh! That's a good idea
Don't know why i didn't think about adapter
Another option (if you got the 3.1 update...) is to use a bluetooth mouse. I do that when I hook my laptop up to the TV. a 15' cable across the living room will definitely aggravate the wife...
One other thought. Is the HDMI out on the Xoom micro or mini? Check on that before buying anything.
micro. I have the 10 foot cable from Monoprice and it works fine
I have the 15' cable from Monoprice and it works fine.
I would be leary of adapters on the Xoom side as that will put added strain on the XOOM connector.
I like the idea of the BT mouse/keyboard. That will solve needing a long HDMI cable. Now I need to buy a short cable as well - gee thanks!
I bought this 50' cable:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000QKKAPE
and this adapter:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00481C4RO
Both work great.
I may have to pick up that adapter. Since it has a short cable that will reduce any strain on the Xoom connector.
Thanks!
On second thought, $13 for that adapter is a bit too much. Monoprice has it for $3.

I'm not trying to push Monoprice, but they do have really good prices and everything I have ordered has worked great and shown up very quickly.
i have the 15' from monoproce and it worls great payed only about 10 bucks
I have the 15ft hdmi as well works great also got 2 15ft micro usb. Didn't spend that much at all compared to other shops.
Monoprice is awesome for cables.
I went with a $4 adapter from China and my xbox HDMI cable yeah I'm cheapo! and a BT keyboard with "integrated joystick-mouse thingy" I had, works nicely.

Recommendations for a portable HDMI screen

With the HDMI hack, we can use our Atrix 4g with any HDMI screen.
Has anyone tried taking that configuration on the road?
What would make a good companion portable HDMI screen for this?
Cheers guys
You can use any screen that takes HDMI. You don't need any special "portable" HDMI screen.
I've used my 27" 1080p monitors or my 60" led tv.
I would presume he's after a cheap screen with a battery so he can use it whilst travelling... Would love to see my Infuse on a 60" though!
Hmm, the lapdock itself is a nice portable HDMI screen. With a micro-HDMI to HDMI adapter, you can plug any HDMI device to it.

Do you mean the Atrix lapdock? If so, it's still quite pricey I think.
Have just spotted this lot:
I got my lapdock from the at&t retail store yesterday for $80. I'm not sure if your US based since that link if for the euro. It's a great little device but the roms i use dont do landscape mirroring so its fairly useless that and never could get much going for debian on webtop.

Nexus Accesories

Just bought my LTE Nexus (Brand New for 450 on off ebay SCORE!!). I picked up an OEM extended battery from VZW today ($25), shortly after I order a SGP Flex screen protector($17.99) and an Otterbox commuter case($18.50) from amazon. What other accessories would I need?
You don't "need" any accessories, it depends on what you use your device for, excluding what you already bought...
If you play a lot of games, you might look into buying a Bluetooth controller (such as the PS3 one) and an app that will allow the controller to work (Sixaxis controller)
If you want to watch movies on your tv from your phone, you'll want to look into a Micro-USB to HDMI adapter
If you want the Nexus to act like a USB host, you'll need a USB-OTG cable and compatible app (such as stickmount)
If you don't want to take off your case to replace your battery when you're running low on charge, you might want to look into a portable battery charger (they come in all sizes)
Thanks, I already have the PS3 controller. I'm looking at the adapter for the HDMI and I'm unfamiliar with the USB host and the perks of it.
Here's an example HDMI adapter (keep in mind the charger itself needs power to function and it won't charge your phone at the same time): http://www.amazon.com/MHL-ATC-Certified-Supports-Sensation/dp/B0063J9F6C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1327587031&sr=8-1
USB OTG is useful if you want to hook up a USB flash driver directly to your device and mount it, I just picked one up the other day and it's pretty cool. Here's the USB OTG cable I got http://www.amazon.com/T-Flash-Adapter-Samsung-GT-i9100-GT-N7000/dp/B005FUNYSA/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1327587128&sr=1-1

Hdmi Dock

Is there a dock that charges and does hdmi out? Thinking this would be cool to play emulators or GTA on my big screen, paired with a wiimote or ps3 controller
To connect to the a TV you will need an MHL to HDMI adapter like this. I'm not sure if it charges at the same time, but it should, being that it connects via the USB port on the phone. If you search around the web, you'll definitely find much affordable deals. Cheers!

at least, if not charge, it maintains the charge level.
from your link:
The HDTV Smart Adapter supports HD signals up to 1080p. Connects directly to a standard HDMI cable for easy connectivity to home theater or monitor. Requires power from a wall charger. Can connect directly to your MHL-Enabled mobile phone to create an HDMI docking station. Requires wall charger (sold separately) to power the adapter while in use. (HDMI cable not included)”

There are some other brands, more afordable. Have any one tested any of them?

You cannot connect more than one USB cable to your phone, so unfortunately that is not possible. Which controller exactly do you need to connect to your phone?
If by any chance you are planning to use a PS3 controller, pairing it with your phone through Bluetooth and using the Six Axis Controller app is the best way to go.
Edit: In that way, you will still be able to connect the phone to your TV via the MHL cable
if you hsve a frys electronics in your town, they have this item for $24. WORKS WELL.

Charging dock w/usb hub

I'm looking for a charging dock/stand (wired or wireless) that will let me plug a mouse and keyboard into it to use for gaming. Anyone know of one and can share a link?

So if I understand this right your after a charging doc for your S20FE, that has USB passthrough to allow you to plug kb/mouse into that?
The Dex pad might do what I think your after -
- https://www.techradar.com/reviews/samsung-dex-pad
Or failing that, there seems to be a number of charging hubs on amazon -
Amazon.com : dex pad
Do you think something like this would work?
https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Charging-Ethernet-Compatible-Thunderbolt/dp/B07TVSLDND
Intended for MacBooks but I think it "should" do the job.
I don't think the charger itself is included, but you should be able to power it with a Samsung usb-c charger you already have. I'd recommend the 25 watt one they sell for $20 now.
I have one these coming soon...
Anker USB C Hub, 5-in-1 USB C Adapter, with 4K USB C to HDMI, SD and microSD Card Reader, 2 USB 3.0 Ports, for MacBook Pro 2020/2019/2018, iPad Pro 2020/2019, Pixelbook, XPS, and More: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories
Buy

not that the OP is still asking but I'll report back if the HDMI works allowing improved murdering of people with a wired controller.
just realised this doesn't have a power supply input.
I got this Baseus dock and althought the plastics feel kinda cheap, it gets the job done and have a great Dex experience.
