Sprint G-Nex L700 Housing? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Looking to circumvent sprint repair/replace and fix my nexus.
Cannot locate a L700 housing, and by the pictures it looks like the VZW housing (i515) is a lil different. anyone know if i can maybe retrofit the vzw one on a sprint screen/mobo? are the screws holes the same? is it just the lte-sim card location that varies? or does any1 know who sells sprint (l700) parts?

bump for any info on sprint replacement parts (L700)

What is interesting about this is that if you are able to use the Verizon housing you would also then be able to buy the Verizon extended battery as the only thing stopping a sprint user from using it is the housing is different

Anyone figure this out, or will I have to be the guinea pig?

Just verified the answer with a coworkers Verizon GN. Its doable but its a hack job. Chassis has 6 mounting screws to the housing. 5 of them line up except the middle right screw. Its a totally different location on the Verizon one. Also each phone has 4 jump ports but some are in different locations. Housing could be drilled at the different locations, however don't know if I could live with one screw missing on one side of the phone.

Is there a source for Sprint housings yet? I've been looking all over and have found nothing.

I have a sprint OEM housing for sale brand new. LCD replacement. Battery door and side housing. Pm for jnfo and I can send you pictures

Digitizer and Housing for Rhodium (TMOUS)

I dropped my Rhodium on asphalt.....its operational but there are scratches on the right edge of the digitizer and housing. Anyone knows where I can buy a digitizer and housing parts for a T-Mobile US Touch Pro 2? The housing and digitizer is a little different from the other Touch Pro 2s
Am another one
Well,
I have exactly same problem. But inspite of that guy i bought a damaged piece of that phone from ebay.
Its got completely destroyed Housing and the Digitizer seems to be bad to.
I would like to kick myself that I didnt knew, that the T-Mobile version is different...
I knew that ATT mades different housing, but T-Mobile...
So guys, is there a chance to get a housing and specificaly for the T.-Mobile HTC TP2 and If there is not, is it possible to convert the T-Mobile version into standard one? Using stanard housing and digitizer... ??
Thanks alot for your reply
The button layout and the shape is a little different between the T-Mobile US version and the HTC gsm version.....I already did my research.
But where to get that housing...
It seems that I have found a guy on ebay who is able to get me the Digitizer, but not the housing...
You found a digitizer? PM me the name of the seller if he has more.
As for the housing, how about using a T-Mobile TP2 display housing since there is none available yet? I saw a couple of Ebay sellers with dummy displays

Only one seller right now.
I have been buying some parts off eBay for my original Tilt and some from another website www.fonlogix.us
FonLogix also has instructional videos of how to dismantle the phone but I think those are the Wiki's here too.
I have not checked to see whether fonlogix has parts for the TP2, as modified by Tmo. I have to order parts for a BB Curve later so I will check but you can check them out. You can also google it. There are a number of companies that are selling the parts for phones.

Well am awaiting the photos of that digitizer first. If he will send me those, then am gonna give you his contact on eBay..
Do you think that those dummy phones uses the real Housing? If so, than its a awesome idea, but am raelly not sure about it...
And the second problem is, that they do not ship outside US
If you are getting both the Digitizer & Housing you should be able to use any one that doesn't have the headphone jack hole. The internal guts "should be the same. The main difference is the T-Mobile one has a different digitizer & bezel. Just my thought on this.

Well, the housing is a actual problem, as long as I cant find it anywhere.
As what I have heard, the backplate and battery cover should hass the same dimensions and the only thing that is different is the front bezel and the digitizer, that has got different buttons position. ( at least the Tmobile version looks nicer to me
did any one have any luck with housings or if a dummy phone will work

No not yet the dummy phone was just a plastic screen. Patiently waiting for the screens becoming available

Replacement housing: an alternative to cases

Over the years, my preferred method of addressing the wear/tear was not by using cases (which add bulk), but my simply getting a new phone housing when the old one gets too scratched up.
And it looks like OEM-like housing for HD mini are beginning to appear on the market, such as here.
Looks like HD mini housing is absolutely identical to Aria's. I'm going to stock up on one and give it a try.
Please let us know how this works out, I wonder if someone will sell just the back cover.

With most phones now having glass in the capacitive touch screens, I just don't see your extra housing providing much protection from a drop.
It's still a good idea though.

Indeed I'd be concerned about the screen in the case of a drop, but agreed its a good idea. Let us know how this works out, I'll have to keep it in mind if it does work on if/when my housing ever takes a beating
I bought 2 of these from ebay thinking the exact same thing. They were advertised for the HD mini as we all now know it is the arias winmo twin. When i received my housings I was very excited to try them on but ended up being very disappointed. The housing came with a few pieces of excess plastic from the manufacturing process which was no big deal. Next I noticed that there were no volume buttons, again not too big of a big deal as they can be carefully removed off the old case and hopefully attached to the new case. The absolute deal breaker was the fact that the Aria antenna IS the back cover, and this replacement did not include the antenna. I examined the original and I do not believe it is possible to remove the antenna and reattach it to a replacement. However this particular housing may be different, either way let us know what your results were.
check these out they look like oem with the htc

You're right -- none of the HD mini housings I see advertised on Ebay have the antenna contact leads on the inside

That's a case, what's being discussed here is the actual body of the phone
It's too bad about the mini's back cover not having the antenna contacts, hopefully true Aria accessories will start coming out and you can get your hands on a real housing for it
ya sorry about that , it was deceptive looking the first one i looked at had the logo and tri-screw holes. thought it was a replacement back cover

Parts for our phones?

I was wondering if we can buy parts for our phones i would love to do a panda themed phone. (Black bezel with white batt door and front plate)
I had two HTC Android phones, and was able to pick up body parts for them, but even though I had pretty popular models, some parts were hard to come by.
You might google "Epic 4G Touch chassis" or "body" or use the model number...
See what you come up with.
Phone might be both too new for manufacturers to be making replacement parts yet, or might be a too-low-volume model for them to care about. It's a Sprint-only body.
You can get parts off ebay. Either search for the specific part, or search for epic touch, then narrow down the search by clicking cell phones, then replacement parts. I just bought the white housing for $50.

Where to find LG E980 Parts?

Through the wide world of Craigslist I came across a fairly beat up AT&T Optimus G Pro which I promptly bought for a cut rate price. I'm praying to the cellular gods the IMEI holds strong.
It's had a glass swap done on it judging from the missing speaker grill and perfect glass surrounded by a beat up front glass surround. The back battery door needs a replacement and the silver mid plate has seen better days.
I've found many places selling full front glass + LCD + front trim. I have found zero places selling the silver trim mid plate. I also am having a surprisingly hard time finding a black AT&T door. Can any of you direct me towards these parts? I don't care if they're shipping from China as long as I can order them. The usual suspects for parts and eBay aren't turning up much. I'd like to get this puppy back in tip top shape.
This is my first LG since maybe an LG flip back around 1999/2000. As a long time Samsung user I'm impressed after just a few hours with the G Pro. My plan was to bridge a few months till AT&T will sell me a Note 3 off contract from a company store. Since Straight Talk is now shipping LTE AT&T SIM's I wanted to sell my 3G GT-N7100 Note 2 and finally get LTE for cheap. So far I like the phone so much I might keep it for longer!
Thanks in advance for the help.

Well I feel like quite the pioneer since no one seems to know the answer. I bought a silver mid plate for an international E986 and a black E986 door. From the looks of it they appeared very similar. They're shipping from an eBay seller in Spain so I fully expect them to take a month to get here. I'll let you know what I find when they arrive.

I have yet to fine the silver mid plate and need a new one as well the glass above my camera is cracked. Some one help us.

AT&T Motherboard in a Verizon S3 Housing

Ok. So. Let me start off.
I buy and sell phones through Craigslist. I have AT&T. I picked up a Verizon Galaxy S3 (because it's supposed to be unlocked. And it was a good deal.) Turns out the sim contacts were ripped out. *Derp.*
I bought an AT&T motherboard off of a friend of mine for $10.
Using wire cutters, sandpaper, and box cutters, I managed to dig out enough metal from the housing, around the power button, to fit the motherboard in snugly. (I'm a Russian. We like to come up with solutions like "Oh, the plane's wing is coming off? Duct tape it is.")
All the connections hooked up just fine. Booted up to a clean 4.1.2. Took my sim. *Yayyyy.*
The camera doesn't work. *I'm assuming this is a firmware difference?*
And my signal drops randomly. *Perhaps I should update the modem firmware?* But I do get LTE just fine with the original Verizon-housing antenna wire.
Thoughts? o.o Concerns? The camera and signal isn't a big deal, since I'm just going to dump this thing on somebody anyway, but it would be nice to sell a...not...completely...ghetto product.
Thanks in advance.

Your signal drop is mostly cause of your nv file (which seems to happen a lot to unlocked devices). You can use nv-reader-writer to copy another phone's file and replace yours.
As for the camera, either software issue or the connection isn't right. That being said, it should connect just fine.
Thank you for the reply, sir. =D
it's the case causing the signal drop, I ordered an international version of the S3 housing off ebay because it was black and mine was busted. The antennae in the housing doesn't line up with my AT&T S3 and causes terrible signal. Took a while to figure that out.
You need the right housing.
