i was using a custom rom with cwm touch already installed ... then i installed rom manager and installed cwm through it .. but when i rebooted to bootloader phone switched off... and now nothings happenin.

Ok
1) i said to flash CWM through fastboot not rom manager in the thread for official CWM
2) Check your battery... Keep it plugged in over night
Cwm cannot hardbrick your device unless you did something really silly..

and when connected to pc .pc recognises it as qhusb_dload ..

Congratulations. You have a hard bricked device.
You really should READ the app description before trying anything stupid.
I tell you what you did:
When you performed the recovery installation/flashing process, the app flashed the recovery using the wrong partition - in this case, the phone's internal flash drive!
There are numerous threads over this problem and especially on Desire(?). I guess it was Desire, this happened with almost ~100 devices.
Give it to repair, they will not know how did it break..

If you don't believe try this:
Have any other recovery installed except CWM
Get Rom manager from app store and press "Install CWM"
Leave the damn thing to do its ****
Reboot your phone into recovery
TA-DA! You have a bricked device!
If you search on XDA like this: "rom manager bricked my phone" you will find numerous threads from numerous phones, not only Desire.
Here is a sample
Also, my cousin bricked his Galaxy Mini only by pressing "BACKUP ROM" from Rom manager...
Abhishekdhiman - Did you pressed the "Backup Rom" button?

No. It is a hard brick. You cannot do anything. The motherboard needs to be replaced.
So take it to your service center for warranty and DON'T SAY THAT YOU WANTED TO INSTALL A CUSTOM RECOVERY.
Pretend that you don't even know what ROOT means!
They will replace your motherboard for free

actually i know it doesn’t stick....as i was the one that asked Koush to make it fake flash as CWM would not flash via rom manager, it's done via a .zip for "testing" purposes it DOES NOT make any permanent changes...i have already installed CWM via rom manager, what it does is re-loads the .zip everytime you reboot into recovery VIA rom manager, if you reboot into recovery normally, you will get the older version of CWM that was on before

Assuming that I'm not having a CUSTOM recovery installed in the first place, only a rooted phone. I download the Rom Manager app and press Install CWM. Then if you do the combo buttons to reboot into recovery without using rom manager interface, what will happen? It will access the stock recovery?

We are talking about the app from the playstore named Rom Manager

yes i'm also able to do this, BUT as someone has apparently bricked by using Rom Manager i thought best to do this warning until 100% confirmed
Flashing recovery from an app is always risky. This issue is not isolated to the One V. It's always better to flash from hboot.
Yeah...wish I had seen this prior...on a side note I did manage to unbrick via Hboot zip flashing.

bootloop after flashing cm7

Hey guys
After flashing cm7 ,(during the process i got an error which said "no space left on device"), every time that I try to start my device It'ill just stuck at boot screen.what can I do ?
ps:can't get to recovery.
Before flash while you're at CWM do wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache and reflash cm.
I cannot Access recovery mode.!
ps:When ever I press sound down key + power It turns on(but not lcd)and charge led gets green(sth like falsh mode)
If you still can't get to Recovery after many tries, I'd advice you flash RUU... If you are S-OFF great, if not, no problem. When you are done, you can get your Root back with SimpleOneClick (My fav).

Your mobile is stuck in boot loop always without entering Recovery.
It is rooted but you cannot enter Recovery.
I hope somebody has a solution to your problem since you had rooted it and it has CWM Recovery earlier.
I am not sure if somebody got out of this problem, will reply if I get to know a method.
If the phone gets past the splash screen and gets to the bootanimation, you can use ADB to go into the Recovery.

I had a similar problem. Sometimes cause is false or damaged boot.img file. In my case I shut down the device by pressing power button, then started bootloader by pressing vol - and power. From my PC I flashed correct boot.img file (fastboot flash boot boot.img), the gone to recovery. After that I installed MyOne V 2.1 rom and voila - device started normally.
PS Prior to install any rom, you must flash boot.img form your PC, using fastboot command (because we are all at S-ON).

I'm still on clockworkmod myself, I've gotta give 4ext a go sooner or later as everyone says it's better. I've left my recovery as is since I first rooted the phone and its always done everything I need. I just avoid using things like sd partitioning as I know it has issues.

Try to go to recovery manually instead of going through the recovery via the menu on rom manager. You will probably boot with the new recovery. But yeah go with 4EXT Recovery its time you use something way better.

HTC ONE X [Please Help]

I'll prequel all of this by stating that I am a complete noob to the Android. After reading the stickies to this forum (correct me if I'm wrong), flashing the device sounds promising, but I don't know if that solution is even applicable to my problem. I'm worried I've completely bricked my HTC One X. Any help would be greatly appreciated and here's everything I can tell you about the situation.
The phone is an HTC One X Endeavor. When turned on, it shows the boot screen (HTC-quietly brilliant). Holding the power and the down volume buttons reveals the bootloader menu. The phone is unlocked and the problem occurred after an attempt to root the device. When I plug it into my computer I hear the sound that signals I've connected a new device, but under My Computer it brings up a CD drive, which can't be browsed.
If I pull up the bootloader menu while it is plugged into my laptop, this text comes up on the screen briefly:
checking sd card update
sd checking
failed to open usb master mode
loading pj46img.zip
failed to open usb master mode
please plug off usb
After running through that it just goes to HBOOT. I can still access FASTBOOT and all that, but nothing seems to work. Is there any way to revive my HTC?
Sorry for the noobishness, I've been on an iPhone for the last few years and have only had my HTC for a couple of weeks (love, love Android and never looking back). So I'm really hoping there's a way to recovery my beloved HTC.

Always the case, eh? Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, I'll give this a try and come back with the (hopefully successful) results.
When I try to install the HTCDriver.exe nothing happens when I click on the .exe and I have tried this on two separate laptops, one on Windows XP and the other running Windows 7. I also sought out and tried installing HTCDriver_4.2.0.001.exe to the same results. When I click on it, the hourglass appears for a moment then disappears. I've tried running both as Administrator and still nothing. Any suggestions?

Thanks! I've done this. HTC Sync Manager was already installed so I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. This solved the problem. I was able to flash over TWRP and now I am on the screen that lists Install, Backup, Wipe, Restore, etc. BUT my touch screen isn't working and I can't select any of the options. Also tried the volume buttons on the off chance, but that doesn't work either. Grr! Seems to be one problem after another.
~edit~ I tried flashing clockwork over and it says that it can't load /Recoveries/CWM.img and I also should have mentioned sooner that the three buttons at the bottom of my screen do not work. Hoping this doesn't effect the process.

I've flashed Philz Touch Recovery using this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1634786
Now when I boot my phone it goes to Philz Touch Recovery. I made a back up just in case. I tried recovering and it just boots back to Philz after turning it off and back on so I'm assuming I'm missing a step here. Using Automated Fastboot I selected "install boot.img" to flash over Philz and then I installed CWM also using the same program. I can access CWM by launching RECOVERY in HBOOT, but uh I am kind of at a loss for what to do next. I think the next step would be to get a stock rom and flash that over, but before I do that I would like to be certain it isn't going to fudge up the phone even more.
Also, thank you all for your assistance and patience! :victory:
~edit~ I was able to install SuperSU.zip if that makes any difference, but again when I turn on the phone it goes straight to Philz and I can access CWM in recovery.

I flashed over Philz Touch Recovery and replaced my boot.img. Then installed CWM so basically I am booting up a recovery and there's a recovery in recovery... Yeah. Brilliant thinking (not).
You only have one recovery, when you flash a recovery it replaces the old one automatically. Follow the link and download the latest Odexed stock Rom and boot.img>>>>>http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1546970
reflash philz recovery then mount usb storage from recovery and copy over the stock Rom you downloaded from the link above.
