Simlock for free?

Hi. Yesterday i bought my desire z, to day i have it but with simlock orange, is it a way to remove it for free? I saw htc desire may be unlocked for free what about Z?

You must have root , S-OFF and SuperCID
But I haven't 10 posts already, so I can't make thread with tutorial

You gotta get S-off by rooting it. flash a custom rom and done.

You can get Root AFTER S-OFF
But if You men Temp-root, then S-OFF and then Perm Root your right!

Benefits of s-off on M8?

Please don't get mad. I've googled and searched the **** out of this one guys. What I want to know is specifically, what benefits does the m8 gain from s-off? I have a good general idea about s-off benefits and drawbacks. Just looking for something more device specific.

flash radios, firmware, sim unlock method, use ruu, unlock bootloader, remove tampered, flash hboots.

Hi.
Today I tried to root my HTC One M8 and found the HTC One Toolkit [M8] (actual version)
So I installed the driver of ADB and and HTC.
But if I click on HTC Dev Unlock I get the message "HTC One Toolkit [M8]"
I use Android 4.4.3 and USB-Debugging is on.
Can anyone help me?

No offense against the guys that write these toolkits to make it "easier" but, stay away from it if you can, you don't really learn anything by using these toolkits.
That said,
Try and unlock the bootloader manually, as shown once when you sign up to htcdev.com and follow their instructions to get bootloader unlocked. OR
You can go for Sunshine S-OFF ($25) it roots, unlocks bootloader and gives S-OFF all-in-one.

It technically only temp-roots. You still have to fully root using a custom recovery or adb push. However, once the bootloader is unlocked, that is fairly simple.
I would actually suggest that as an upgrade, though. It would be nice if, at the tail end of the process, Sunshine would offer to permanently root the phone.

Now I unlocked the bootloader manually and installed twrp as custom recovery. After this I installed SuperSU over twrp to get root.

Now i cant take screenshots. If I try, I get the message that no screenshot can be taken because the app can´t save them.
Does anyone have some ideas how I can fix it?

Tried firewater and can't unlock boot loader.

I ran firewater and it started off at 1 bottle something... It then stopped and said something about my boot loader being patched??? So does that mean I can't unlock my phone? I have the T-Mobile HTC one m8 version.
I have a computer that runs Windows 8.1 if that's any use or help.

The message was: kernel contains HTC anti-firewater patch! ?
Try this.
If the message wasn't this, google the real message to find similar situations.

Its not clear whether you understand the difference between bootloader unlock and S-off. S-off isn't needed to unlock the bootloader, root, flash ROMs, etc.

I have my boot loader unlocked. I'm just s-on and no matter what I try. It says HTC has patched it. I want to be s-off to flash a firmware, from my understanding to be able to flash the new updated roms.

Then your title is confusing. To me, it means you are having issues unlocking the bootloader.
Make sure you are on stock ROM, stock kernel, and some say even stock recovery. If firewater still doesn't work, you will need to use sunshine.
FYI, stock ROM and kernel are recommended for sunshine, as well.

Sometimes vigilance pays off.

What version of Sense are you on? I tried to do it the other day, also t-mobile, when I go to the final command line, nothing happens.

No not found a way myself yet kingroot and others don't work,, sure some one could suppose its new device unfortunately not alot dev support yet !!

Thanks i have had the same problem i tried all the apk versions non support or work on this phone even tried the PC versions and still no luck.
Perhaps I should look at the spec in detail see if there is a similar device that is rooted try that method only problem is no backup method also ?

Yr bit risky ? shame was kinda hopein it was gonna be more popular as for price it's a fantastic device would there be root for desire 630 I sure there pretty close spec wise

I can help with root, I need someone with a basic understand of adb/fastboot and a willingness to follow directions.

Got stock RUU or stock recovery for it

stock ruu is installed, official wwe 1.08.401.2

ive found a way to root the htc desrie 530, took me a day to understand what to do but it was worth it!!!

How were you able to root it? I still haven't been able to find a way.....mines from Verizon and it seems to block anything I try.
