i need to ask a question for CM7 for the xperia arc s
-does cm7.2 only work for ICS arcs? or can it work on gingerbread 2.3.4
-will the ROM work with my arc s?
if anyone knows the answers to the questions please tell me, thanks
CM7 is gingerbread..and CM9 is ICS...
well then obv CM7.2 is GB..fyi any rom can work on anyone..it really doesnt matter.
and yes CM7.2 will work just fine on arc s
so that means i dont have to update to ICS and then flash the ROM, one more question
-so i can flash through CWM without any bugs or errors
and thanks
yea.. u can flash watever ROM u want..but make sure u clean wipe data, cache before installing new ROM over old one
thanks, hope to see you again some other time !!

Hi all,
My phone is rooted and has an unlocked bootloader, but I tried to install this rom today:
MooDeD ICS ROM v.4.0 / xUltimate v7.0 Engine [ROM]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1526717
But I forgot to flash the new boot.img (new kernel), wich I had to install using flashtool. Now I can't normally boot my Arc (I can understand why), but I also can't get into CWM recovery! So do I know have to flash the new kernel wich I had to do before.. or can I get Android 2.3.4 somehow back on my Arc? And if I flash the new kernel for ICS can I flash it back to the kernel for Gingerbread afterwarts? The new kernel is based on ICS beta btw.
I hope you can help me
Everything is working very well since I flashed the ICS kernel I am now running Mooded ICS rom v30.5 without any problems (few bugs in the rom, but overcomable)

I figured that flashing ICS kernel and install the rom again worked when I had flashed the kernel I could get back into recovery again Thanks for your reply
does the DoomLord Kernel work on a ICS rom? Or does it has to be the ICS kernell by DoomLord?! on other words on ICS Roms the kernel has also to be based on ICS?
That's correct as far as I know has to be ics

I don't recommend doomlord because it's a bit buggy, but there are plenty of usefull kernells. To make ICS work you will need ICS kernell

I don't believe any work. Gameloft as a company sucks (had issues with MC3 and they took over a week to respond to each reply) and probably will not update for ICS for a while after the official ICS is out. But I have tried stock, KA12, and ICS++ and none worked.
I don't have problems with their games (at least not downloading them). I'm on FXP's CM9 (117). If you want a guide to install: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1600833

i think im going back to gb.. gaming on ics really hurt me
for cm9, maybe the game not compatible with the phone(experienced that on cm7)..
i use arconium 7(gb) as my present rom but i want to upgrade into modded ics 90.2 lrs(ics).. im wondering if its ok if i just flash it directly to my phone or do i still have to flash stock ics firmware? any suggestions please?
you can directly jump from GB to ICS without flashing ICS firmware..but make sure you clean data and cache before installing ICS ROM
thanks!

But i think it's better to flash the stock ICS first for better performance and compatibility.
its doesnt matter... flashing an custom ICS ROM from GB is the same thing as flashing the stock ICS from GB, performance and compatibility will be changed in that ROM as well with other features.

Just wipe data and cache and flash MooDed.
but don't forget to flash an ics based kernel first!
