OEM Battery - Galaxy S III Accessories

I'm looking for a spare battery and came up with this on ebay. It looks like it's OEM one with NFC function, but the price is too good to be true, cuz there are some seller priced it around $30, which makes more sense.
ebay.com/itm/New-Battery-for-EB-L1G6LLU-Samsung-Galaxy-S-III-S3-i9300-2100mAh-/140785352440?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item20c775fef8

Amazon has third party seller for the oem w nfc for 30 also.

I ordered this one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/27100367050...NX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_827wt_1396
2 batteries plus an external charger for them for $18. It says OEM with NFC, but we'll see. I'm not sure how much I'll use the NFC feature anyway, but I'm hoping this is what it says it is.

It looks like the OEM but I dont see NFC anywhere.

Tempting due to the claim of OEM. Any bets on them being counterfit? Note the seller also offers a 2500mAh "compatible" version.

I emailed the guy. It has no NFC antennae, those are extra lol oh well I just need backup battery untill OEM price comes down.

So it's not really OEM then is it? Don't the OEM ones come with the NFC built in?

Sadly, how can it be an OEM battery for the SGS3 without the antenna?
Does anyone have the P/N off of an original US version of the battery? I'm still waiting for mine. I contacted Anker about when they will stock one and they asked for the P/N. I've had great success with the Anker batteries in my Touch Pro 2 (on Sprint) which is what I'm upgrading from.

How can you tell if a battery has the NFC? Aside from the markings on it.

I had ordered this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/16082851278...NX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_738wt_1396
New 2100mAh OEM EB-L1G6LLU Battery + Charger For Samsung Galaxy S3 III I9300
from : favorite444
Received it today. Looks like OEM, slightly different markings but says 2100mah and says Near Field Communications on it. It's charging up right now so I'll report back if NFC is actually working.

Grr, no NFC...what bs. Why the heck would it say NFC if there is no NFC. Will reach out to seller to get some kind of credit (not sending this **** back to china). I guess its OK as a replacement battery, but I have NFC tags that I'm using.

Emailed the guy and got a full refund! He even said not to return the battery.

Congrats! May I ask if you are using a US phone? I'd like to know if these batteries work in the US releases of the S3.

Yup, ATT phone. Battery worked, just not NFC.

Will all 9300 batteries and accessories work for the ATT variant? I was thinking they were different batteries for some reason.

Stock Samsung battery for $25 with NFC

Difference in performance between OEM 3.8v and third-party 3.7v?
I've seen several third-party batteries, but none are 3.8v. I was wondering if there is a notable difference in performance between the different voltages or not. Thanks

Extra Battery/On the go charger?

Hey guys,
After having my Galaxy Nexus for little over a week, the battery is starting to worry me. I don't think the battery would ever last me one full day with heavy usage and I was wondering, do you guys know of a website or a retailer that sells an extended battery/extra battery or on the go charger for the Galaxy Nexus? I'm probably going out for the holidays and I don't want the battery to die on me.
I am using the GSM variant of the Galaxy Nexus from Bell on Android Revolution HD (though I did notice the same battery life on the stock rom :/)
Also, on a side note, does anyone have a good site to get a USB otg adapter or a MHL-HDMI cable/adapter for a good price?
Note: I'd prefer not buying from Ebay, as I have had bad experiences in the past. Something like Amazon would be preferred.
Thanks,
Mosh

if your using the gsm gnex i would get the gnex carcharger from vzw, it charges the phone really fast(like the home charger) until you can find a gsm extended battery online or something
I'd go nuts having to constantly swap out my batteries to charge them at the end of the day. Get the charger.
Monoprice is a good place for cables. Power sources though are kind of meh.

I've got a spare battery and the factory stand that can charge the extra battery without it being in the phone on order. Not sure when they'll reach my shores but apparently "not too far away". I'm sure you could find a supplier where ever you are. IMO they were reasonably priced for genuine accessories
Thanks for the replies guys! I don't think I can get a charger from Verizon and it would probably be expensive. Oh, and just to confirm, by charger you mean on the go (without an outlet)?
EDIT: Also, do you guys know of any good websites in Canada?
EDIT2: Amazon is preferable!

Been trawling the interwebs for an extended battery for gsm (like the gs2 one), If anyone comes across anything please post
Extended battery is still on sale for $24.99 I just ordered mine last night. Click the link and add to cart and it will price drop to $24.99.
Enjoy.
I'll let you know how much extra battery it actually gives once I get it but its supposed to help.
I would post the link but since I'm still so new it will not let me but just go to Verizonwireless and find it under the accessories. The Retail stores are doing the same deal as well.

Did you order from Verizon? Or from the link posted above?
I ordered directly from verizon, get free 2 day shipping as well. Its a actual bigger battery with new backplate to fit it directly onto the phone, so other then that you don't really even know you have the extended battery. I will know once it comes it how much bigger it makes the phone but I've heard its pretty minimal on the look of it. I don't know if this supports the GSM model since I am on Verizon and have the LTE/CDMA phone.
i got my car charger from expansys when i ordered the phone
Can anyone confirm that this will work? : http://www.amazon.com/PowerGen-Ultr..._1_6?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1324279677&sr=1-6

All GSIII stuff should fit all versions. On the outside they are all the same from what I have heard.
From what I have read, and someone please correct me if I say something wrong here, I believe the OEM batteries also contain the antenna for NFC. So, unless you don't care about that, you would want to make sure any replacements also have this.
I must admit, after the initial novelty of the NFC stuff wears off, if I find that I am not using it, I would consider A larger capacity battery.

It is correct -- it's the same as the SGS II. The official Samsung batteries have components necessary for NFC to work. There are other generic batteries that work, but you'll lose NFC functionality.
Google Wallet is one, but since only Sprint has it, no biggie. But on the SGSIII things like the new S-beam use NFC, so if you don't want to lose this functionality, you'll want to stick with official Samsung batteries for the time being.
(Not aware of any generic batteries with the NFC components at the present time)
i would not ever use 3rd party battery...
not even sure how to use NFC . just touch a phone with nfc also and it works?

'cause unless it's a brand name/well known company (Duracell, Mugen et al) you don't know what you're getting- you can be burned literally and figuratively. Cheap isn't necessarily good or electronically safe. Li-ion batteries are dangerous if improperly made.

Spare battery and NFC?

Hey guys,
I bought the official Samsung battery with the NFC antenna and now my NFC won't work.
Do you have any idea how to get it to work again?
Is anyone else having similar problems?

are you sure its not a fake?
I bought two of the supposed real ones too. They had Samsung logos and even said NFC on them. Every part of the packaging was the same on the battery except the fake was made in Hong Kong the real in Korea. I M okay with the battery however, it is what it is as for $20 I got two backups and an external charger
it came with the cradle-charger so I don't think it would be fake.
I noticed that some galaxy nexus users were having difficulties with using the NFC function when swapping their batteries..
the only solution for them was to do a factory reset..
For those of you with an extra battery , could you check to see if both of your batteries work with NFC please?

lol, did you buy from amazon directly or a seller on amazon? i have known sellers on amazon selling fake crap trying to pass them off as genuine. but put your original battery back in and check if nfc works to test i suppose. i don't see why changing the batt should stop nfc working as it only contains the antenna and not the nfc chip.

I have no idea what happened... I guess it was just a little glitch..

OEM battery for International version

Hello everybody.
I want to buy an OEM battery for my device. I live in Israel, i went over eBay, and couldn't decide which battery is a genuine one or not. Can someone please give me a link to a genuine one that ships to Israel?
Thx!
i bought one on eBay and even asked the guy if it was original and he said it was.
when i got it weeks later it seemed legit, only thing i noticed was that it didnt have the same exact font size and didnt have the water damage sticker but i thought it was still good until i started using it.
i noticed it didnt have NFC and it would take forever to charge 100%. even leaving it overnight. also noticed the battery died really quick when reaching 32%. pretty much instant death when it hits passed 32%.
ok, so do you know where I can get a genuine one from eBay/amazaon/any other site that can deliver this to Israel?
up
help, please? hhh

I thought it was illegal to ship lithium ion batteries internationally? At least that what I got told when I was talking to batteries for less in the states.
Also I wouldn't expect to get an OEM battery for less then $40 USD

[Q] Sprint Extended Battery

Hello all, I am a regular over at the Photon forums. I've just purchased a Sprint Galaxy Nexus and, naturally, went online to find the right extended batteries and cases. From what I have read, the OEM extended battery from Samsung that was released for Verizon works just fine. But, the extended backing apparently doesn't fit correctly on the Sprint version. I am aware that there are other third party extended batteries/covers but I've always been with the understanding that when it comes to batteries, stay with the original OEM. I've read through the forums for some information but am getting mixed reviews. Can someone shed some light onto this and perhaps point me in the right direction of a good extended battery with proper Sprint backplate? Thank you in advance.
::EDIT::
Btw, I would much like to stick with a 2100mAh ish sized battery. Not very interested in the huge bulky 3000mAh+'s.
call sprint. or you may be able to get it from their website. I got notice of it immediately in my Sprint "inbox." I got an extended battery for "free," just had to pay shipping...it's the samsung brand that comes with NFC embedded & the cover (associated with the larger battery).
Good Luck!
