@tyman, That's amazing. But I really don't want to flash a rom and just stay on stock
@tehsprayer, Rooting is basically gaining FULLY control of your phone. I use adam002 kernel. Which makes your phone faster. Your stock speed is 1.5mhz, with the kernel you can make it to 1.89mhz.. It runs alot slicker and faster. You can uninstall all those useless apps that come with the phone.. So it's amazing.. and if I helped you can you hit thanks? if you did thanks

Same here. There are a plethora of benchmark applications that yielded better results. I'm glad Aurora is getting it together.

Guess they considered themselves the de facto Android benchmark app and got complacent all this time. It is nice to see them finally updating their ancient (by Android standards) app.
Scored around 3800, not all that impressed but at least they are trying
I got a 3950

Looks like they lowered the redraw/refresh rate on some tests to get more accurate results. Also, I think FPS isn't calculated as often, to get better results. It seems slower, but is more accurate.

Topics says it all. You should learn not to put much weight into these benchmarks, but the new update should give a clearer picture of our devices performance.

I ran a lot of test and figured out the having "force gpu rendering" checked will increase your 2d score on quadrant.
I get 900-1000 with it enabled
I get 200-300 with it not checked.

This is my first Post, and i want to say thank you to all on this site. And thank you again.
I have the new CM posted 7/29. It's smooth and fast. Everything works fine except for youtube crashes when i press the volume button.
Does any body has the same issue? Any fix to this?
Also i ran a Quadrant Benchmark and i notice that the cpu reading is very low compared to HTC ONE X, That shows DOUBLE readings on CPU. Is it because the Quad Core of the ONE X?
Here are my readings:
Total: 4443
CPU: 5343
MEM:11200
I/O:3351
2D:273
3D:2046.
This is a great rom, i can't wait for the new release coming soon.

Sent from my GT-I9505G using xda premium
Overclocking means increasing the clock frequency of a hardware component, cpu , gpu past manufacturer spec i.e increasing the ammount of cycles per second people also play with the voltages to increase stabilty just makes the device perform slightly better and makes the user feel special with bragging rights my S4 is overclocked
