What is gingerbread and isnt there any other ROM with arabic support, just need arabic, not interested in anything else...

Gingerbread is the next version of Android which has Arabic support. All custom roms here are based on older versions that don't have Arabic. Gingerbread based roms will probably come after HTC releases an update

Im using RCmix HD and i can read arabic txts, however the letters are not joined. You can use Mirsal app to read, write arabic txts joined up

If your on uk rom, you will only get uk rom updates.

Norway is a nordic country right? It's the right rom then you will get the nordic rom updates

[Q] Gingerbread (2.3.3) stock rom of middle east region

Hi guys,I need a gingerbread stock rom of middle east region for my SAMSUNG GALAXY GIO......I need it to flash through odin.I can't find the link it from several websites.Can anyone upload it because I really need it urgently.....I want the Arabic, Persian and Urdu language so it must be middle east region

There is no gingerbread here.Only the froyo firmware is present in this link...

then there problably isn't arabian firmware spread out on internet, maybe via kies.,

I think there is no gb. in arabian firmware only froyo.

There was an official update for gingerbread through kies but before this update i flashed my phone and installed ****ty giopro so now i cant update it through kies.So there must be some link through i can get gingerbread 2.3.3.If anyone upload it then PLEASE UPLOAD IT !!!

Kies say that this device cannot be updated through kies...

You must downgrade first.

It works only with one package?I used to have like 4 things....

there is a checkbox "one package" (or something like that) in odin. if you enable it you only need one file. in the internet are many tutorials how to flash stock roms with odin. just search for "galaxy gio odin"

a stock rom is the rom which is on your smartphone when you buy it. it has some modifications by samsung (for example touchwiz).
you cant flash a stock rom with cwm you need to flash it with odin. but in the development section are many stock based custom rom. you can flash these with cwm.

use the closest one to you.
not all firmwares are fpund on sammobile, but for example if you live in the netherlands and use german, russian or any european firmware, it works fine.
if im not wrong, every european country-firmware has all european languages.
they only contain some apps that are country specific, wich can be easily get rid off when you have root acces..

which country's rom i should choose?
edit: i live in MIDDLE EAST or i can say GCC country which is Bahrain

I've never been good at geography..
