Morning all
I have swiftkey 3 installed and get this strange error when I use it to type in the google search box in all browers. When I type in the search it doesn't respond to the delete key and infact keeps adding onto the asked search.
Does anyone else notice this? I have to use the default keyboard which isn't affected
many thanks
I'm using swiftkey 3 and dont have this problem in chrome at least. When you say delete you mean the back space button?

have you tried removing the app and re-installing?
How about clearing the cache of the browser applications?
I've had this too. Does the delete key often repeat whatever is before the cursor?
I had this problem too. It only kept adding to the previous text.
After a while, delete started inputing "cr" for every press.
Had this too, been driving me mad. Tap in the text field to get the backspace key doing what it's supposed to do.
Weird though, hope the sort it out.

It's been a bug for ages. Quick fix would be to swipe left on the actual keyboard and delete everything that's repeating.

Anyone else have this problem?
It doesn't do it with any other words.
Using HTC_IME mod/Virtuous now, but it did it with the stock keyboard/stock ROM too.

You see how "to" is highlighted green? Just hit "yo" to the left of it and it will be selected + added to dictionary correctly.

yeah. i have this same problem.
Yo... (test)
I don't get it.. I'm using swype, if that matters.
It's already in my dictionary.
Well I would try clicking the "yo" to the left in the previous screengrab, there may be a different dictionary for different uses. Also you said this happened for you with stock, and this is how to use the word + add to dictionary in stock so it's worth a try.
That's how I added it to the dictionary in the first place : P
also added it to the HTC_IME mod dictionary and the touch input one.
tried removing and re adding it too
just seeing if someone else had the same dilemma and fixed it...
i am getting these notifications occasionally. however i don't know whichever language is that and can't understand it. is there anyway to findout which app causes this?? i m gonna uninstall it

It's arabic language. It's saying
"Protect your Android device
Get the best protection for your phone now"
anyway, press and hold the notification, you'll get "App Info"
Go there, you can find out the application name, and disable all notification from it if you want (rather than uninstalling it).
thank you very much

yep, ve just deleted the app.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Ever since updating Google Maps to the new version with the new UI, compass orientation is always wacky while in 3D mode. See the screenshot below to see what I mean:

This is what it looked like immediately after tapping the location button twice. Even worse, the map doesn't even pan in the direction the dot is facing half the time, but instead moves in the opposite direction.
This doesn't seem to be a problem while in navigation mode, but it is nonetheless annoying.
Apologize if someone already posted about this but I couldn't find one. I've only tested on Rootbox, but I've used many ROMs in the past and in my experience that has never made a difference.

Yep you are correct, mine has been the same. For example completing a whole roundabout before we even get there. Moving to a field even though we're on a marked road. Moving sideways whilst driving forward. Very weird!

After rooting successfully I have found a weird glitch with the fonts.
This happens only in google apps, like Google Play Movies, Google Assistant and so on, it also happens in the permission warnings, ( like permission to access storage) but not on the whole warning, just the grant or refuse buttons. I have tried messing around to fix it but I cannot find any info about this problem. I have no idea what caused it or how to fix it, but it is very annoying.

Couldn't figure out what was causing it so I just took it as corrupted files and reset the phone. I used Titanium Backup to back up the whole thing and noticed the name of the apps on the list also had the weird characters, so I didn't back those up. After a reset it has been working fine with root, even after multiple Magisk updates.
i had the same problem, check if you have set the language English (XA) or something similar and add instead English US / UK.
Hello.
This is my first time using a smartphone, and I'm new to IT as well, so forgive me for being dumb.
I recently got a Nokia G20 (Model number: TA-1336). It has Android 12.
Whenever I "shake" the phone, or just move it a little, the screen turns on. I believe it has something to do with motion sensing, but I couldn't find anything in the settings to turn this feature off.
Please help me.
On another note, is it possible to get rid of the google search bar at the bottom of the home screen? Without disabling the Google app, if possible.
Thanks very much in advance.
If this has been asked before, I'm very sorry for causing trouble.
Thank you very much WilliamMike, your advice fixed the first one!
The search bar, however, I still can't remove. The internet says to either install some NovaLauncher (which I'd prefer not to) or disable the Google app (this could break some features I assume).
Sorry for taking up your time, I appreciate your help!

Any idea where to go from here?
