But I've read that Google now will be available in Google Play soon, maybe Google Voice will also..
its name is google now or google voice ?
I think it is just modified google voice search which is connected with Google Now
AFAIK it's Google voice search. Google now is just another amazing app/feature if jb. Just wanted to say Google voice search might also come through Google play..
Yes, I hope so

Google doesn't release changelogs. Unless its a significant build, they're very general. What you see is what you get. Take it or leave it.

Huh...well, maybe then. The one on the OTA server from a couple weeks ago does not have any radios in it.
Edit: Checked screenshot.
Those are not new radios.

It never was pulled.

That leaked screenshot is incomplete. It says nothing about going from K to Q, it just lists hardware, radio, and software combinations - note the many appearances of "or". There is text above that was clipped from the photo. My hopeful speculation is the missing piece is JRO03(VZW variant) that will update the listed HW/radio/SW combos.

I don't get it. Can somebody please explain to me why would we, using the sgs2 need this apk?
I haven't heard anywhere that the nice folks over at Sammys caved into apple's cease and desist letters, and downgraded the Google search widget on our device yet.
My stock GB rom still has a proper working universal search widget, but Im assuming all you JB fanboys don't have one?

I know all the devs are waiting for a Jelly Bean release for the Sprint LGOG, but I really think a huge feature we (non devs) all want is an updated Google Now. One that includes the sport teams feature. Sorry I do not really know what version it is. Please if there is anyone out there who could spend some time with this one, I think they would be cherished.

The Google now zip in the themes and apps section and the general section both show the sports scores. The update was to show movie times and stuff from your gmail among other things

The version in the General section does not allow you to specify your sports teams. That means it is the same old buggy version that everyone's been running on ICS for a while.

I dont think anybody has backported the latest google now to ICS yet. Just be happy we got it. JB will be here next month I bet whether by us devs, or from LG.

I know that the new Moto-X phone will be "always listening" and Google Now can be activated anytime by voice. However, there is yet to be solid confirmation this will be rolled out to other devices. One reason most devices do not use this is probably the strain it puts on the battery, always having to process audio.
A lot of threads seem to discuss this - how to achieve this task. However, it appears the general consensus is that the battery would drain to quickly.
I'm sorry this didn't really answer your question, maybe in the coming weeks, once people get their hands on the Moto-X, the hardware to implement the hands free Google Now will be studied in an attempt to replicate.
EDIT: I found something! I found an app in the play store called Open Mic+. It is really new and seems to accomplish the task you are talking about. The performance seems to be iffy for now, as its still in beta, and reviewers say it drains battery, but it could be really cool.
There's an app on Google play store called Google Mic +, it's the only one I could find. Works pretty well actually.
