Well the pg file is a radio file I believe. Also...its s off...so you haven't totally unlocked it all but it looks like hboot is the right version. Remove that pg file from your ad card and try to reboot with that off of there
Sent from my vivow using xda app-developers app

i only put it on there cuz i read somewhere it like restores or something idk. i tried to turn it on normaly i get white screen just stays for ever this is with no sd card.
also with empty/clean sd card
i tried recover, restore and factory restore
it all just keeps freezing even if i just reboot the hboot it doesnt come back on. i have to take batt out and do it again.

desire keeps rebooting

Hi guys
I am really desperate atm. I have read several topics but couldnt find any that matches my problem so hope I will receive some help from you guys
I have HTC desire, rooted, running LeeDroid Rom
So everything is fine, until one day I restarted my device. After restarting it keeps rebooting on its own. Its stuck on the Android screen (the white one), couldnt get to the Animation and keeps restarting for several times and then freezes on the white screen.
If I dont have to restart my device there is no problem. The issue here is when I factory reset the device or want to flash a new rom it keeps rebooting and then is stuck.
If I leave it for a while then it reboots normally to OS but it will not execute the factory reset or rom flash whatsoever
The only thing I can do in HBOOT menu is clearing the data and that's it.
Plz Plz Plz help me out guys

Its a hardware issue and will probably need a board replacement. Before returning it, as a last resort you may try unrooting to stock. Guide is in my signature.

i really hope its not a hardware problem

[Q] Still looking for a solution

Right first things first
my desire was having the random reboot problem after updating to 2.2 then it turned off and now wont boot up at all.
it is stuck on the htc logo, and wont enter recovery either
I can go into Boot loader and Fast boot to flash Ruu's and pb99img.zip files
And they complete successfully but the phone still goes back to the Htc logo
I have the Hboot drivers installed, android Sdk installed but cant recognize because cant enable debugging because i can't get into the android os.
The phone is unbranded but i don't have any back ups for it .
Also made a gold card and flashed stock Rom but still back to the Htc logo it goes.
Any help would be very appreciated i have read and read the forums for days but cant seem to find the exact problem and solution.
Also software version is 2.29.405.5

when it reboot does it vibrate 5-7 times sometimes ??
still looking for a solution
No does not vibrate at all just stays on Htc logo, and stays on that the screen goes blank for a second or 2 then back to the Htc logo till i pull the battery ,goes to H-boot with vol - and power button and thats about it,
Did you make sure you had a "gold card" before flashing?
Flash to an unbranded ROM, 2.29 Froyo
Did you wipe your cache memories, including devalc, and user data before flashing?
If you didn't do so before, you will be stuck.
Sorry, but maybe the gold card was not good.
yeah used the Goldcard , i cannot wipe the cache though because cant get into recovery, when i select it it just goes back to Htc logo.
have you given the freezer idea a try..?
it might be because of the cpu/motherboard over heat issue
Yeah tried it in the freezer for about ten mins no luck.

[q] evo vibrates 5 times then goes blank

I Bought a evo flashed to boost upon trying to flash back you sprint using the RUU from my PC the phone restarted (on it's own) during the process and the RUU exited. Now my evo wont get passed the white evo screen without vibrating 5 times and going blank. The PC shows android usb devices and htc bootloader in device manager but doesnt show in device or removable storage. i have tried pulling the battery, waiting hour before putting battery back in, cleared storage and I out of idea
any help would be appreciated
thanks in advance

If you can boot into the bootloader, try flashing a PC36IMG.zip of the RUU through the bootloader. I don't have one handy, but I'll see if I can find you one.
I'm not sure how flashing to/from Sprint works. Are you trying to unroot? If you are, then you need to flash the unrevoked s-on zip in recovery before running the RUU.
Not good. I had this issue and spent days trying to fix it. Luckily it switched to S-ON so I was able to get it replaced at the sprint store for $35.
if you can use bootloader or recovery i would try flashing the latest sprint radios
Try this if you're unrooting back to stock:

thanks plainjane Im just trying to get my phone in a usable condition w/ sprint at this point whether or not it's rooted or not. but i have downloaded:
RUU_Supersonic_1.32.651.6_Radio_1.39.00.05.31_release_171253_signed
PC36IMG_SuperSonic_S_Sprint_WWE_3.26.651.6_Radio_2.15.00.07.28_NV_1.40_release_140444-signed
and renamed both to pc36img and still cant get past white evo screen before it vibrates and goes blank and can't get into recovery to flash unrevoke s-on

Can you get into the bootloader by vol down + power buttons until you see the skating androids? I'm assuming so since the info you posted is from the bootloader.
If so, put the PC36IMG.zip on the root of your SD and boot into the bootloader. Make sure that it's named correctly & not PC36IMG.zip.zip. By default, you should only see PC36IMG in Windows because extensions are hidden. You'll still be s-off if unrevoked or unrevoked forever was ever used, but you'll have a bootable phone.
i tried the link which provided the 2 PC36IMG zip and followed those directions, but when I flashed the unrevoke s-on zip is aborted b/c it couldn't verify. so now instead of 5 vibrates and blank screen with green flashing light its just rebooting the white htc evo. but something did work b/c now my hboot screen shows

What exactly did it say when you tried to flash the s-on zip? I'm assuming you no longer have a recovery?
If not, here's a PC36IMG of Amon Ra 2.3, try flashing it through the bootloader like you did before. If you can get it to flash, choose no when it asks you to reboot then try to boot into recovery. From there you can try flashing the stock rooted rom. In theory this shouldn't work since if the first PC36IMG took you're not rooted, despite being s-off.
Are you following some kind of guide to flash back to Sprint? Are there any steps following running the RUU that you can do?
Recovery here: http://db.tt/WP0beNa
It couldn't verify the system type in the intial flash but i just used the new recovery and it flashed the unrevoked successfully now my evo shows s-on and its updating to the ruu pc36img now.
the link you sent me too earlier has instructions with it and I'm following those to do the ruu.
thank you very much you have been very helpful
i will post after the update is done to let you know the results
the RUU update has completed and it has rebooted to the white evo screen and has stay for the past 3 or 4 mins
so I pulled the battery and turn it back on and still went through the reboot loop of the white evo screen. Im reinstalled the ruu update as i type right now. and as of now my hboot shows:

finished updating and now when it reboot it just sits in the white htc evo screen
How long do you let it sit at the white screen? Sometimes it can take 15-20 minutes.
oh i only let it sit for 7 minutes or so do i need to reflash and update or just let it sit the next time ?
also when you pulled the battery it would boot to eithewr the 4g screen or sprint screen before it continuiously reboot or reboot to white screen
I honestly don't know the best way to go.
I would try reflashing it and see where it goes from there. If that doesn't work, maybe go into Amon RA and wipe CACHE, DALVIK-CACHE, DATA, BOOT AND SYSTEM. Then try the RUU again.

how would i go about getting to amon ra to wipe said files?
now my evo will start and get all the way to the home screen and then restart i mean its better then nothing but i still dont have anything useable at the moment but thanks to all that have help. i have tried to rerun the ruu through bootloader but still not getting a bootable phone. Would it be possible to root the phone whilst connected in bootloader since im not able to connect through htc sync
Also i no longer have root access
Have you flashed the pc36img of amon ra yet? Then selected the recovery option in the Bootloader, then wiping or flashing? You could also flash the latest sprint radio, prl and pri just to be on the safe side.
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
i used to be able to flash amon ra not when i use it as pc36img zip it loads then checks the pc36img then back to hboot screen.
as of now my evo you get all the way to the home screen where you must unlock it then will reboot
its almost as if it doesn't know how to get any further

Stuck at HTC Boot

I'm sure you have heard about this before but searching for 18hrs now and nothing is working.
Issue: Phone is f.....kd and stuck on the HTC BOOT SCREEN.
It was running Clockworks newest version and Tried the Unrevoked 3 for the last 5 days without a problem. Then all of the sudden the phone rebooted and I was left with " Hopefully not a dead phone. "

I don't know if the usb Debugging mode is on or off . I'm thinking off cause before the phone rebooted I was looking at settings and might of turned it off . Is there a way I can turn it back on from adb ?? or see if its atleast off ?
I can't get into the recovery as it just skips back to the HTC screen. I have tried erasing etc. with no go..
Help.. Please..
Thanks..

[Q] Desperate need of help

Not sure why/how this happened but after I finished transferring a backup to my sd card inside the latest clockwork recovery. I went back to the home menu to select restore but it randomly lost all selections in CW and it froze there. I let it sit for a while but nothing happened so I pulled the battery restarted and went to hboot then I noticed that it went from S-OFF to S-ON. Whenever I select recovery it would how the splash screen then go on a black screen and vibrate 5 times and the LED would flash till a battery pull. Then I just tried to boot strait to [Kang][4.0.4] CM9 a8 release which I not wipe and it did the same thing vibrating 5 times then the LED flashing. Right now I'm at a desperate need for a fix.
When I rooted almost a year ago I used unrevoked.

Since your on the correct radio, just run unrevoked again. That should reroot and get you back to s-off.
I tried that but I cannot reroot, unrevoke basically cannot detect my phone from what I can tell. Right now for some reason it would only stay on if it’s plugged in to my USB, and if I unplug it the phone would just go into a black screen then vibrate 5 times with the LED flashing.
I tried using the instructions here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1110865
I can read the sd card if that helps, I think the problem lies with the USB.

Do you remember if you had usb debugging on? Are you sure the correct drivers are installed on your pc?
I have usb debugging on and I have installed the drivers provided by unrevoked for the Droid Incredible.
Finaly fixed it.
