Hey guys.
Picked up myself an extended battery (official 2000mah) last week and so far, I'm getting worse or just the same performance as my old 1750mah.... anyone have different outcomes?
I know batts need a slight 'wear in' time but its been a good 5-7 charge cycles.
Do I need to change a setting or something to let the phone know its got a larger battery or something?
Thanks in advance guys.

And lithium ion batteries do not need to be "conditioned"

I was wondering if anyone knew a good place to get a cheap/good extended battery for the Droid X. Also, how much longer does the Extended battery last than the regular battery? because if its like 2 hours its not worth it. Also, does anyone know where i can get a battery charger (For just the battery without needing phone?) I want to get a second Droid X battery but not if i have to have it in my phone to charge it.
Verizon sells an 1850 mAh battery for around 50 bucks...I've noticed a substantial improvement in battery life using it....you most likely would not need 2 batteries

Hello guys,
has someone this extended battery or heard of it?
http://www.ebay.de/itm/EXTENDED-ORI...693?pt=DE_Handy_PDA_Akkus&hash=item2c5f26030d
Price seems to be very good but the battery isn't from Murgan or an other big company.
Should I better get a 2nd stock battery?
I need one quite fast as I'm going on a 17 hours bus trip with school soon and the stuck battery can't last that long...
Regards,
Flo
If I was in your position, I'd get myself 2 extra stock batteries.
One of these might be useful:
http://www.xperiablog.net/2011/10/11/sony-announces-cp-a2ls-and-cp-els-smartphone-usb-chargers/
Sounds very promising but they aren't released yet and I need it untill the end of next week.
2 extra stock batteries are bit too expensive and carrying + charging 3 batteries with one phone will be hard, too as we do a lot of stuff there so I won't have time as I'm going to use my Arc as my camera, too. Don't want to carry my cam with me, too...
Will decide me untill today in the evening.
Hopefully one of the users here who has the extended battery can say if it's worth it or not untill then.

Just bought the extended one.
Even if it's a bad one it should have the same mAh as the stock battery, at least I do hope that xD

Any news on this extended battery, i am intrigued
Used it one time. Seems a little bit better but Arc looks super ugly with it - I'd say a second stock battery is better.
Sitting in the bus on the way back atm and my stock battery is almost empty so I'm going to use it in a few mins.

I'm at that point where I'm looking at getting a new battery. I'm not looking for a MONSTER that needs a different back over... so anything between stock battery and 2000mah would nice.
Does anyone have any recommendation as to where I can get them? I might even get a charger for the extra battery.
Say I were to but an extended battery, would you recommend calibrating it ever? If so from which method, clock work mod recovery or android app?

Same Question
Im also interested inknowing the answer to this question. Thanks in advance!
I am on my 5th charge on my Laza 3800 mAh extended battery (and case) and they are a perfect fit. I never calibrated it and it's fine. With the stock OEM battery, I have to recharge it around noon everyday and now it last easily a day or 2. The only thing is that even though it claimed to have NFC but it did not seem to work, but I don't use it anyway.
Hey guys. Im just wan to know how much battery use other phones with screen on and using 4g data conection (no wifi). Mines use 1% per 3 minutes of constantly use. A remember b4 it used 1% per 5-6 minutes. Can someone help me knowing others results ro compare?
Is thath consiume of battery is normal?

I can generally browse for "a few" hours on 4G without needing to plug in. I don't pay much attention to specifics as unlike the Note 1, the Note 2 isn't very limiting for me. The Note 1 was awful for needing a micro-reactor in your pocket almost. Do you keep your battery over 90% charge often? It's possible it's getting weaker as it gets older. You can order a replacement battery cheap enough and see. They also usually come with an external charger so you could just swap batteries and go. I do that on long road trips.
Is true the replacement battery maybe hurt the phone bcse they have diferent voltage? I heard that from some guy in yhe shop.

If you get a real Samsung battery I'd think not. Make sure the voltage matches. I can't remember, is the S3 3.7V or 3.8V? I got an Anker extended battery and it improved the battery life immensely.

Here is the extended http://www.amazon.com/Anker-Extended-GT-N7100-Cellular-SCH-R950/dp/B00A0FGQPS
and here is the granddaddy of extended batteries http://www.amazon.com/warranty-ZeroLemon-Protection-Guarantee-Compatible/dp/B00BYEMNA6/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1366142228&sr=8-5&keywords=zero+lemon
It depends on many different factors not just screen on and 4g on. 1% per 3 minutes equates to 300 minutes or 5 hours. I have drained my battery completely in 4 +/- hours time. It's completely normal as I have other phones to compare it with. I have another note 2, 2 galaxy s3, iPhone 4s,5s that I have tested against and they provide worse battery life in same situation.
Not all these phones are mine. I just swap it with family/friend members to test out for a day or two.
For batteries I recommend Anker. I have 2 Ankers for my note 2 and 3 Ankers for my galaxy s3.

Since I use my N2 as my laptop replacement and am on it all day, battery life was a problem for me from the beginning. I found Battery Drain Analyzer helpful. I kept it running for a couple of months and was able to determine which apps consume the most power (widgets, by far). But, after having spent hours trying different underclocking configurations without much success as far as saving a lot of power, I ended up buying three extra OEM batteries. It's really awesome to not have to worry about it. I just keep them in my pocket and swap them out as needed. It's not a very technologically advanced solution, but, it sure is effective. I also picked up this, and, obviously, now, I am never without power. Also, I use this Charger for the spares. It takes a long time to charge the batteries, but charges them fully to 100%, whereas, charging the battery in the phone doesn't seem to work as well.

MobileTechReview does a review of the Zero Lemon. The back case is the only thing that keeps me from getting it. Not that it sticks out, but that it's like a soft rubber. The whole back. The video shows it better than I can explain it.

Think that was the original case they reviewed? They changed it a little bit (better fit) before the release a week or two ago. They are also coming out with a rugged case in about a month.
Hi GNexers,
I've just got a Galaxy Nexus (GSM) extended battery (eBay ~ /itm/120832462058), and wondering what is the best way to get started.
I mean, should I drain it until die and charge for couple hours after the full charge? Or just start using it and follow the usual charging practice?
I've been reading some threads and blogs about extended batteries, but they all seem to talk about how long it holds the charge, NFC compatibility and such. I appreciate even if you can point me to a previous thread if my question answered already.
Thanks in advance!
As far as I know you should drain it completely and then charge it for a day and a night.

I would like to know your experience with your new extended battery. Do share your battery stats, as even I'm thinking of buying one.
Thanks!
