quick NAND unlock question

I rooted 2.2 froyo, and used unrevoked forever. S is unlocked but I am unable to install any cm6 roms. Does this mean nand is still locked on my phone? And if so what do I do to unlock it as I am wery about repeating the wrong steps. Thanks

You are going to have to install the eng-bootloader in order to use the cm6 ROMs.
If you have not flashed any ROMs on your phone you should be at 2.1
Now you need to follow the rest of the instructions and install the eng-bootloader from the pc36img.zip

I have installed other roms currently running the latest fresh rom

I never updated my bootloader when I rooted my 2.2 froyo.. I have cm6. Maybe I lucked out.

I'm rooted and I have that exact version. I used unrevoked 3 to root my EVO.

I have the same evo got it like a week ago I used the hboot s-off guide under android development but only problem I had with that program was that I couldnt access recovery so then I used unrevoked to flash clockworkmod revovery do this at your own rish though I messed my first evo up by just using unrevoked camera wouldnt work im 14 I think you will be able to figure out how to use the hboot guide but when you flash a rom make sure its a 3.30.651.3 other wise you camera wont work im using OmegeEvo v1.1 by racism

do not use unrevoked it will permanently curropt your radio. unrevokied 3 is now out of date, thanks to htc's latest security update. use an alternative method if you happen to have a mac, i have a very nice 2 or 3 command root kit for you... testers wanted

So u cant use unrevoked 3? I do not have a mac i have a pc. I really want root mine. Im coming from the hero

I did not have any problems rooting my EVO using Unrevoked3. I followed the simple instructions and the process was painless. Before getting my EVO, I rooted my Droid Incredible using Unrevoked3. As for it being outdated as stated by someone else, I'm unaware of it. Check out the second link above and read for yourself. Happy Thanksgiving.

unrevoked does not work on any 3.30 evo software because of the new hboot security. it will not gain root, just corrupt the radio.

i am trying to work out the bugs in a 3-command method... adb is not that hard to setup and use.

If u can do that 3 way command that would be easier.

Need to sell EVO but....

Im trying to unroot my EVO so I can sell it. But when I try to flash the s-on tool it says unsupported radio and aborts .I've searched and can't find a solution . Do I need to flash older radios ?

Why don't you just sell it rooted?
I believe that someone will pay more if is already rooted because recently if you buy an EVO it comes with the new 2.3 release from Sprint which can't be rooted.

Yeah leave it rooted the latest OTA isn't rootable..yet.. leave it rooted and get more money for it..

If your not rooted accept the OTA ONLY IF ITS 4.24 OTA OR 4.54. Then nand unlock with revolutionary

2.10 is a froyo bootloader

Yeah that's what I thought, OP no need to upgrade. Just use unrevoked forever method.

Not sure what you need help with??? Does it have a custom recovery such as clockworkmod or amonra? If so you can flash any Rom to it in recovery or load up an ruu in bootloader if you want it stock. Your choice

Download latest smelkus modded recovery.....hboot version. Rename to pc36img.zip. Put in root of sd. Get back into hboot let it install. Make a band backup. Grab a rom and flash

Thanks that worked perfectly hahaha it just needed a custom recovery hahaha its weird though the bootloader is still locked but we can flash any Rom. Thank you all
