Your phone includes modified software can not be update HELLP !! - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I cant repair my phone using Pc Companion or Sony Update Service !! :crying:
It says: Your phone includes modified software can not be update

Download your country firmware and flash with flashtool, then reconnect to update service. It will work then.

Then you can't update using SEUS or PC Companion.
Download the firmware you want from one of the threads and flash it using Flashtool.
Or go the adb route.

I'm the new owner of the xperia arc , i've tried to look for questions about my issue, i've bought my xperia from a stranger ,the phone box is branded with Vodafone Spain, the phone is unlocked ( the method he used i don't know) and it has android version 2.3.2, if i try to make a software update with Pc Companion it will remain unlocked or not ??? can pls somewone help me ?
million tnx !
try and connect using fastboot http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133650 , if you can then the bootloader is unlocked and you can't use the update service, you'll have to flash using flashtool/fastboot, they're in the same thread, but you can flash a pre-rooted img. if you can't connect to fastboot, you may have to root after every upgrade.

How are you connecting your phone? For Xperia S, to connect to EMMA your phone must be in fastboot or flash mode(can't remember which one). Have you tried connecting in these modes?
Edit:
That's an interesting picture.
