A GPS fix for folks with GPS issues. I've noticed GPS breaks with every flash of a new rom so I figured I'd post this link as I've noticed I'm not the only one. Just flash through cwm. Absolutely no wiping WHAT SO EVER is needed. Works flawlessly every time. I get locks within seconds. The screenshot below was taken in my home which is built from brick and mortar. Not too shabby!

1.Enter mounts and storage and mount system
2.Flash the zip
3.reboot
Now check your GPS lock with GPS status!

Incorrect. Wifi triangulated. Which is why I posted the GPS status screenshot. See the 7/19. Yea that means I was locked onto 7 out of 19 available satellite signals.
Ugh.
Here's another screenshot with data AND wifi off.
Please don't input nonsense if you don't know what you're talking about. For those of you this didn't work for refer to the thread in the link and most of all did you follow the instructions?

Never said its solely depended on your wifi. Google keeps a database of wifi locations to help with triangulation which in turn help you lock faster. Turn wifi off and see how fast of a lock you get. Thanks for reading

It works for some. I've followed the instructions with several different builds of it and it did not work. It gives different results for everyone.
Edit: Just reinstalled my ROM.

Seems to have worked as advertised...
Flashed AOSP on my T-Mobile GSII.
Found i had no data, flashed Telus radio & got data back, then found I had no GPS.
Applied this patch and it appears I have GPS functionality back. I'll actually have to go somewhere to test, but it seems to have done the trick.
Looks good. Appreciated.

Change to update.zip and flash through stock recovery or CWM *STOCK CDMA NEXUS ONLY*
*02/05 update*
For those having issues, try flashing it with CWM using the toolkit in the dev section.
Root not required but bootloader must be unlocked
1. Download the toolkit
2. Put your phone into fastboot mode
3. Open the toolkit
4. Choose the option to "Boot into Clockwork Mod without permanently flashing it"
5. Once in CWM, choose install from SD card
6. Choose install "update.zip" if you renamed it to that. Otherwise, choose the option to choose the file.
7. Viola!
Work In Progress. Will update as I discover more:
Noticeably Faster
Android OS bug fixed (in battery stats)
Long-pressing on a blank spot on the last page of app tray bug is gone
New Radios. 3G/4G switching MUCH better. Don't even notice it changing.
Improved signal strength
New Power Menu. New from 4.0.2, familiar to those who have used a stock 4.0.3 rom. Screenshot here
PRIMELA03 Bootloader
Faster boot up time
Auto-brightness Functionality changed. Smooth transition
Holding down camera button now refocuses again
Multitouch issue seems resolved. Screenshot here
Autorotate is faster
Browser performance noticeably improved
Recent apps list opens faster
Miscellaneous camera UI changes
Increased volume
Keyboard fixes
Updated News & Weather app UI
Improved quick controls in browser. New when coming from 4.0.2. Present in 4.0.3. Screenshot here (Update: 02/05)

No sounds. I didn't mess with the camera.odex file a all..
Sorry i couldn't replicated a fc..
Thanks man

If you didn't solve it yet, get the stock camera apk (the one that doesnt force close), get on root browser or something. Go to system>media>audio>ui delete CameraShutter.ogg CameraFocus.ogg and VideoRecord.ogg
I think those are the file names, if not, they're similar. Your stock camera will be silent.

MMS using the stock app is broken, use a third party app like GoSMS
1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
2. Search this thread for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

The rom is great I love the way it runs and the bugs that we have so far don't effect me at all. The only trouble I have is with the tethering. I live less than a mile from a data tower so my signal is always maxed. When I connect to tethering my signal switches to 3G and my signal becomes cut. The bars go and stay gray and no signal whatsoever. I have tried this a few times and have wiped everything and still no luck. I am at work now and the exact same thing here. Not sure if I am alone on this one but I am going to wipe a few more times and reinstall and see if this helps at all. Other than this I like the work done here and appreciate it a lot. I will report back if I get any changes. Any suggestions that would be cool but I am sure your all working on this already. Thanks again

thanks, i guess ill wait until it's a bit more stable.
Everything works great minus the s-pen. I wanted the t889 for screen and processer so I'm extremely happy. Give it a go if you prefer AOSP.

In the ROM settings it says that but its really not. Use setcpu or another monitor to see. All is fine.

My phone doesn't charge when it's powered off

Well I mean the lowest it will go is 1500 unless you put it on power save mode then it just stays at 200

Yeah like I said don't depend on what your seeing there. The lowest is 200 ie when your phone is idle its really at 200..click on an app it will jump to 800. The number you see in the settings is broken and not accurate. If you get a CPU monitor from play store you will see that its really "live" its like a broken clock in the settings. Your phone is not always running 1500. Its running lowest 200 up to 1500 depending on what your doing like normal. Does that make sense??

Its because the cpu is only able to go down to 1500mhz or into deep sleep.

I did flash the ril fix.
excited to see this in progress. The fact that it boots and runs makes me very happy indeed. Once the call audio issue is sorted (can't have the boss calling and not be able to talk to him) i'll be all over this. Been waiting since I decided this phone was going to be my next phone to see working AOSP roms..
Has anyone else had troubles getting the sdcard & internal to mount on their pc? The rom doesnt even show the usb icon when plugged in.
Can't wait till bugs get resolved...
