UBER i hear its going to be all over Texas soon. I am Frisco, Dallas area, and I cant wait.
I hope Tucson gets LTE soon, since we sure as hell didn't get any WiMax love.

Ummm ... Baltimore ._.
smh
I'm also in the Dallas area. Can't wait. I'm getting lousy 3G.
I hope this is accurate!
Sick and tired of this hot garbage Sprint 3G
I switched recently from AT&T about 2 months ago in hopes of getting some LTE action but this 3G is as bad as GPRS.
In Arlington, please come fast!

Just talked to a good source from sprint and was told LTE is underway in Tampa Florida and should be live in August don't know if anyone knows about that but if not now you do

U will know when they are starting to release it because their will probably be more outages around the area from them trying to get the network right just like with Verizon. I've seen a couple of threads for places where they are trying to get it up now reporting outages

Thanks! As a USF student this is great news. I got my Galaxy Nexus and honestly thought I wouldn't be using LTE till sometime in 2013 but if this is true that is great news.
I'm a Brandon Verizon Gnexus user, but I'm glad the Sprint Brethren will be getting LTE sooner rather than later, I'll be sure to pass this on to my friends with Sprint :3
U might have it sooner Then that june first wave has set some florida citys more like july first

I also live in Brandon, verizon gnex. I get a good connection to 4G and then data completely drops after a short period. My phone or is anyone else having this issue?
Forgive the Hijack, just thought having the attention of locals was a good opportunity.
Please help I'm so confused with sprint I bought the spring gnex the day it came out knowing that it will not have LTE coverage yet but I haven't heard about it at all and I'm in the first city that's suppose to have it what is going on I would rather have wimax than nothing sprint needs to get their **** together

No Phoenix, AZ... This is why i left sprint two years ago. They give us only crappy 3g service. No wimax, no lte... smh
No California

Vaj tswv is the creation of people with nowhere left to turn
NO AZ AT ALL
I hope they add it, if its not on by the end of my 2 year contract, I think it is time to goto verizon
I don't blame you guys. If my service is still as bad as it is now when my contract ends I'll be leaving as well. LTE is great and all but hell I barely get 3G now. So we will see.

Arizona got minimal coverage over WiMax. We still aren't on that list anywhere. At least, I've noticed a significant improvement on 3g in my area. I was sorely tempted to jump ship to a more expensive GSM option for all five people on my plan. HSPA+ would almost be worth the extra $ each month.

Haven't seen anything in Miami but am hearing late October for an initial launch from a Sprint BSP. Really looking forward to lte and sprint being usable again.

I'm in Houston, and we went live in July. However, actual LTE coverage is very spotty. I live 1 mile away from an area that gets 4 bars of LTE, and I painfully only get 1 bar (if lucky) of 3G slooooow data at home. Very frustrating. And its like this for most of the city, from what I've experienced.

Sprint officially hates Ohio. I've been waiting for wimax/lte since 2010, when I bought my Evo. I hope to see lte by 2037 or so.

Houston here also. I got the phone about a month ago with only one spot of lte. Now I'm covered just about everywhere I go now. They just lit up a tower by the house now. Just about every week I find a new tower. I'm on the westside of Houston.
Check out this app it will give you an idea of where lte is. Its based on user input so it might not show everything.

It is something that I could never understand, why networks upgrades for all the big cities happen slowly or never happen ?
I had to move out of AT&T because I was never getting 4g speed that I was paying for and not even decent 3G speeds, but cities like Dallas, Austin etc., have better speed and always get the latest and greatest network update.
Now Google Fiber , it is available only in Kansas City MO and Kansas City KS, how long before LA, SFO, NY, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, DC, Philadelphia etc big cities can get it ?
What is the basic fundamental reason for not upgrading technology in Major Cities ?

These threads make me lol at Verizon. You have some of the biggest / most populated cities in the country and are just getting 4G? I live in East Bumblef*ck in the woods on the east coast where everyone and their grandmother knows each other and have been getting 4G for a while now.

Its harder to get new spectrum in cities. Land has to be re-zoned and sold/bought. Not to mention, more people will be using the service in urban areas so it requires a lot of testing and more back end to handle the high traffic.

Idk but i think rochester mn has 4g lte. Got some of it. It was fast! Does anyone else got it where they live? Now im feelin sprint cause they unlimited data on 4g lte. The cool thing was i had full bars too. Download was at 25.62 mbps and upload at 6.26mbps

Good to hear they spreading LTE fast. I got lte signal from my place to my work. Northside Chicago to Ohare Airport. Got the same speed as you but usually 16-25Mbps is the highest Ive ever seen so far.

me- So when is San Diego getting LTE?
Sprint- What is San Diego? Is that a drink or something?
me- No. It's the 8th largest city in the U.S.
Sprint- Sorry but our "8" key is missing and we don't like "8" anyways so the answer is never.
San Diego has not been mentioned on any official lists but Ardmore,OK had LTE. All 24,553 humans and 30,000 cows with cell phones. Hope this is not another San Diego 4G WiMax trolling by Sprint.

setting up 4G LTE in small towns is cheaper than in big cities and allows them to have a better "number of 4g towns and cities" that 4g carriers love to mention in ads.

At least it's in Minnesota! I heard December for up here (Forest Lake) and still not getting it. I've gone this long without it so it's not a big deal but I'd be nice if they could stick to what they said. Almost February now and nothing! I update my profile almost daily.

I received an email a year ago that Portland, OR would have it by the end of 2012. That did not happen, and now Oregon is not even one of the States listed as a market that is getting it. I guess they moved us to phase two or three. Kind of sucks because we were early in the wimax roll out.
I have to travel 30 miles to LA to even get LTE. Orange County is small but very compact. We were one of the first ones to get 4G WiMax but probably last for LTE
Is there a log or something where it shows all the cities that have been announced?

They're deploying through the New Orleans Metro area now. Not much so far but it's progress.
I'm so jealous of people that get LTE. I live in San Francisco and on the old 4G WiMax network, I used to get 4G at home and at the office. Now that I'm on an LTE phone, I only get 3G at home and at the office. The sucky part is that if I walk 1 block in any direction of my house or office, I'll get a 4G LTE signal. I really hope Sprint boosts the signal or add additional antennas so I'm not stuck in a 4G LTE deadzone for the next 2 years.....:crying:
Sprint Is just pure BS when it comes to any network rollout or advancements, thats just fact. even though they were bought out, its their corporate structure they need to change. On every level they are one of the most sloppy companies i have ever dealt with in my life. And seriously why would they roll out LTE IN BUTTVILLE and in ghettos. aND YES IM SERIOUS about that statement too. In Los Angeles, There is LTE alright but not where there are many people like to travel such as south LA, (south Central) yeah the LTE is crackin there!! No Lie
Here's a couple speed tests of when I went to GA a couple weeks ago. I got lte 80% of the time. It was nice. Can't wait to get it in NC.

Wtf kind of ****ery statement is that?! I'm 100% Puerto Rican and although I was born and raised here in the states I travel a lot to PR. I have a good job in the medical field and can afford an lte device. In fact I have three on my account right now with two wimax devices. That statement is a bit offensive bro..

Yea, that was uncalled for.
For the last part of 2012, I was getting great LTE speeds in downtown Houston. They ranged from 22 - 25 down and from 7 - 9 up. Nowadays, however, I'm only getting about 3.86 down, but still averaging ~8 mbps for upload. Do you think this drop in only download speed is due to people getting more and more LTE capable phones?
