All,
I'd like to share with you a very simple app to enable/disable sweep2wake functionality on Faux kernel.
Keep in mind that this app is still in development, but the core functionality works.
Feel free to give me any pointers for future development.
Grtz,
Henk2484
Download note:
If you download the attached apk, and it is saved on the pc as a .zip file.
You need to rename it to .apk, put it on sdcard and install it like any other apk.
Sidenote:
Feel free to use this app in your ROM or for whatever other reason you wish.
All I ask is for proper credit (no need to PM me unless you really like to do so
If you do decide to use this app, keep an eye on this thread for potential updates.
Install instruction for AOSP ROMs:

- Reboot into recovery
- Flash the framework zipfile

If the kernel devs, put in a switch to toggle stw like faux has, then it would work. Currently faux is the only kernel supporting this feature.

faux 007 arhd 6.6.7, doesn't do anything, ticked or unticked sweep2wake still working
Also crashes if I try to press "detect state"

@Op,
I'm on LeeDrOiD One Xtreme V6.4.0 with Faux kernel 004 beta 1.
Enabled Sleep2Wake, it's working like a charm.
Thanks a lot!
Edit; one more update.
I did some testing, in my case sleep2wake was disabled by default so I need to tab twice to enable.
Opposit situation, after a reboot it's disabled again. Also tried to disable it again and reboot, it stays disabled.

the error is harmless. it doesn't do anything. it's because the kernel was poorly packed but that doesn't mean it will not work.
for the language I don't know... I will still continue and make my own mod after porting is done from the same source as this one hence is the same source available for us. Add a little more tweaks from galaxy mini and rc2 will be available.
now everything is working with this gapps;
http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-ics-20120422-signed.zip
but red frame border is annoying me.
i see now that, the usb mounting not workin too.
and sorry, but shift on my pc keyboard doesn't work, i don't know why. it's not your fault of course ;p

I have tried it. Great rom but there are some a bit laggy. I hope that you will release the full one
awesome, glad to see you released this
bad news though, matt's evervolv has alot of problems, thats why i ported from the eris over in heroc land. those red borders arent going to go away, and i could never get camera working with official evervolv for heroc.
id say keep trying to port from eris, they have the most going on. or look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1693659 (cm9 from source for heroc) and try to port from that and add libs from eligo for eris.
Thank you for your work on the hero !

No offence intended to kholk, i like where he's headed, but that kernel is not really stable, and if you have to provide power then it's not really OTG either.
The simple fact is that at the moment, the HOX does not support OTG in the normal sense. This is regardless of OS/kernel/whatever. For the record, Android has supported OTG since honeycomb, so new versions are going to do nothing to change it. It's going to take some serious kernel work to make it happen, if it's possible at all.

Current Version

Old Version
V1.3 here
This is based on the newest official STOCK rom from Acer: Acer_AV041_A100_1.037.00_WW_GEN1
I created this ROM because it seemed nobody had a custom one based on Acer's latest official release, plus there aren't too many ROMs for this tab at all, so hopefully this can help refresh some interest.
It is intended to be as stable as possible, coming from the latest official Acer OTA release. If there are any bugs in it please let me know, as this is my first ROM, so things might not be perfect yet, however I have been unable to come across any bugs and am using this as my DD.
Features:
- Rooted
- Deodexed

DISCLAIMER: I will not be held responsible if this borks your system! Remember the risks of flashing custom ROMS!
Tested and working fine installing from CWM5.5.0.4, I have yet to try it on TWRP
Instructions:
Make sure you do a FULL BACKUP BEFORE INSTALLING
Also make sure you do a COMPLETE WIPE (Data/Factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, and format flexrom)
Install ZIP from your SD card (or wherever you downloaded it to)
Reboot!
Screenshots:
I don't have any screenshots of the actual system, as it looks the exact same as stock but here are a few screenies of Quadrant standard on stock compared to my ROM (again benchmarks can be a bit of a crapshoot and may differ by system/setup)

Thanks man! There is no way I could have done it without the groundwork you laid for this device, and the inspiration from the greatness of the ROMs that you create!

Nice work. Very nice. There any chance for a 4.1.2 build from you?

As of right now, I don't have the skills to do something like that but in the future you never know. Sorry!

As of right now, only one or two people have the jellybean device and vendor trees for the a100 and they have chosen not to release them yet.

Well given its a modified built ROM, there's no reason he can't play with 4.1.2 as well.

Short Info
I decided to build a initial version of broodROM AOSP. the main concept is a slimmed down version of the Google Edition ROM, the core Google apps are all up to date (because you don't want to update ~6-9 apps every time you install a new version). Next to that I added the brood touch to it of course, this means it has unique features compared to other roms and includes built in extra's. I took proper care of the simcard bug (100% unstuckable)
Installation:
1. Download latest release
2. Put zip on internal or external sdcard
3. Reboot in recovery (from device off: hold volume up + power until you see the blue text in the left corner of the screen) (or 'adb reboot recovery)
4. If coming from an other rom please do a factory reset for best results
5. Install the rom zip. once its completed you're done, enjoy the rom!
Features:
- Based on JellyBean AOSP 4.2.2 Google Edition (JDQ39.I9505GUEUAMFD)
- Rooted
- Deodexed
- Zipaligned
- Init.d support
- No Adds (hosts file)
- broodKernel v1.3 (o3) with Fixed MTP, LPM Charge
- Settings menu hooks:
-- broodParts Lite (Manage your CPU & I/O Settings)
-- InstaVOLT (Manage the CPU voltages)
-- CyanogenMod DSP Manager (Equalizer and audio effects)
-- Backup Manager (Easy and fast ondemand nandroid backup)
- Extended Power Menu with 4 Way Reboot (thnx to smaberg)
-- Combined with my own Special Sim Unstucker (100% success, because of raw "pkill -f -TERM" instead of crashing framework)
- Terminal Emulator
- CyanogenMod cLock
- Redesigned Launcher2 hotseat to match normal layout and replaced clock widget with cLock

Changelog
Release 1
Initial Release
Experimental mods (in development by me)
Phone vibration regulator support
Allows the vibration pattern of the phone ringing, to be changed, the length and pause values can be given in msecs.
- = terminal window or cmd window
~ = adb shell
~~ = adb shell in root mode
- adb push Phone.apk /sdcard/Phone.apk
~adb shell
~adb shell su
~~adb shell busybox mount -o remount rw /system
~~adb shell busybox mv /sdcard/Phone.apk /system/app/Phone.apk
then add to build.prop:
ro.phone.vib.pause=100
ro.phone.vib.length=100
where you can decide your own values.
(reboot and it will work when someone is calling you)
Bugtracker
Release 1:
- Minor bug: on lockscreen the circle isn't perfectly centered horizontally (needs some margin @ right or less padding)
- Major bug: chrome totally freezes due to outdated module (install http://www.broodplank.net/files/libchromeview.so.zip to fix the problem)
- Minor bug: terminal emulator crashes due to missing lib.

I see that brood kernel 1.3 is included in this one. Wil you also maintain/update your kernel thread?
Would be great..

Hello broodplank, in your rom, can we select LTE only on networkmode? The turn-off point of this roms is the Auto network mode, it wont switch 3G or LTE from 2G connection, If it switch it takes time so annoying. TIA

Thanks i already flashed that file with and without system mounted, but gave me system ui fc's. I think it has to be modified with our framework.

Ah ok, some fc's are normal when porting , when you use android sdks "monitor" or "ddms" you can see what the error actually is. Ill take a look very soon ^^

Yes, Ill implement it as soon as I find the perfect battery percent icons. I also like it but I haven't found one so far that matches the CM battery
edit: just found that chrome is freezing because of outdated module (apk is newer then module in /system/lib), adding it to the bugtracker.
to fix:
manually: open GoogleChrome.apk in /system/app and extract the module from the apk, place it in /system/lib and you're done.
Or lazy mod, install this cwm zip: www.broodplank.net/files/libchromeview.so.zip
