Hi people! I tried, but can't found what the thread title said. I need to know this because I want to start develop a custom ROM for Brazilians (none custom I found is meant to i8150b) and maybe change the LCD density. I think SGW has a good resolution, but I asked myself if I can make it better
Thank you xD

This mod will install full Arabic support on Galaxy Tabs running Overcome 3.1.0 [Kratos] (may work on earlier editions but no guarantees- try at your own risk!)
This is a CWM flashable zip and it includes a script to wipe dalvik cache after installation so all you need to do is install in CWM and reboot
We now have proper Arabic support with reading and the stock Gingerbread Arabic keyboard is also included for input support
After installing, make sure the input method is set to Samsung Keypad (default) and press the Settings key to the left of the Go key. In the next screen, tab Input Language and select Arabic then press the back key twice. You will now have an Arabic keyboard
Note: This has been tested on Overcome 3.0.0 [Kratos] but may work on others.
Please report if you get it working on other ROMs and I will add a note

most probably not. it is stated in the thread title.

This mod doesn't change the icons. It is designed for Overcome Icarus 3.0 and these are the same icons of Icarus

No actually the input support (keyboard) is not.
The files which enable reading and correct character shaping were made by alterbridge86 using madmack's script.
The keyboard / input patch was made by me

It was actually quite simple and didn't take much time at all but I do not know how many firmwares this will work on as I have only tested it with Icarus.

I know, but since the Arabic patch will probably change the framework resources then I asked if I could get the default gingerbread icons.

Ah...
Well yes. This patch does change the framework. If you want stock Gingerbread then the path I would recommend is to flash the stock theme patch, reboot at least once and then flash the arabic patch. You can get both patches from teamovercome.net in the Downloads section. I tried that combination yesterday and it works fine

I am also interested in a description on how you did it.
I would like to do something similar with full japanese support. The fonts in the european rom look ugly, and the japanese keyboards in the market are not really good...

To be honest it's just a matter of finding of finding, extracting, deodexing and zipaligning the keyboard from a compatible stock ROM that has the language you need. Once you are sure the files work, you can package them in a flashable zip to make it easy to apply. This will also patch the framework and other system files and that's why I stress the need for compatibility.

Hello there
does any one know a good program that can record 2 way call without using loud speaker and without modifying kernel.
If not what code i must add at kernel or which file i must modify or add to kernel to add this feature.
Thank you
have a look at this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1085725
there's a kernel version for AOSP with 2WCR, and a link to a very good app

Thank you very much for that
but can you tell me what things i need to change at stock kernel to allow 2way record
i know how to modify it but i need to know exactly what i need to do and what code i need to add and where
thank you very much for your reply
i'm not sure sorry. this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20175750&postcount=5518 mentions taking the 2wcr ko and adding it to modules, but i'm not sure if that would work if you're trying to modify the stock kernel. you could always ask in that thread directly, there will definitely be people who know better than i do.
(i think you need 10 posts to post in development section, so reply to this post and you're good to go )
Thank you very much
i will ask there
i think i can do that now . this is my 10 post now
Hi everyone!
Im newbie and i dont know how to deodex my stock rom.
I've used dxda kitchen for system.ext4.tar from Stock ROM but kitchen cant deodex its
Help me pls! Thanks! ^^
kitchen works just fine, you've done something wrong.
did you read the MANUAL??
as was mentioned before.. change the API to '10' before deodexing.
btw. wrong section, man

Can you give link of Manual, sir?
And teach me how to change the API pls
Thank you for reply
You must set api=10 TO deodex rom.wirh kitchen..
Inviato dal mio GT-I8160 con Tapatalk 2
read the kitchen's thread, the first few posts most important.
in kitchen there's always a description about the function you're currently using
during deodex there's option to change API, then you get a screen with availible APIs and for gb2.3.x it's 10 so just enter correct value
can't teach everything, you know, try reading some threads on XDA, there's already 99% of your answers here
Many thanks for your help!
Now i can deodex Stock Rom ^^
One more question, does someone known add 14 toggle buttons to the rom? Tell me again pls ^^

Hello!
I finally decided to root my phone in order to install the latest 4.1.2 Stock ROM.
I would prefer to not move to a custom ROM, as it seems none is perfect... while the stock for me works wonderfully.
The only thing I still miss is a better resolution (280 or 240dpi) as I had on my great Note1.
What should I do? (is there just a simple apk for this change or should I need a more complicate procedure?) What would I miss changing dpi?
At the end... is it advisable? Other opinion regarding that?
Thank you very much!
Search here for xposed framework.

Look in th themes and apps section - there is a thread with modded tw launcher, dialer, camera etc for multi dpi's. Use rom toolbox to charge your dpi. Works great

Hi,
I used
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...iwiY29tLmpydW1teS5saWJlcnR5LnRvb2xib3hwcm8iXQ..
and its worked fine on all versions of Samsung stock roms for note2 (up to latest polish 4.1.2 i think)
much better with tiny icons...
cheers
g
Dont need pro - can use Lite version. But seriously, these questions you're asking suggest you haven't done much research. Messing around with your build. prop can lead to problems with your rom which can be hard to recover from if you do not know what you are doing. I would read read read until you know the answers yourself.

You have already rooted I guess since you've already deleted samsung apps. We don't have much ROM choices so all I did was stock, root, debloat, flash blackhawk kernel, and use xposed modules for further modding like xhalofloatingwindow and other modules like Xblast or Gravitybox for theming. Also deleted not needed apps in startup (using ROM Toolbox) and Greenify apps. Don't use themes since I have yet to find a full theme.
Use betterbatterystat to get a better picture of what process are eating your batter up.
Good luck
Make sure power-saving mode is turned off. Otherwise, Nova Launcher + Dolphin >> TouchWiz launcher + Chrome.
Looks like you need a Custom ROM !

Be warned with build.prop editing !
It can make your Tab completly UNUSABLE.
About ROMs for Tab 3 Lite, see in Tab 3 7.0 Development Forum instead.
Don't flash a Tab 3 7.0 Rom onto a Tab 3 Lite or else your Tab may NOT boot even if both devices have more similar HW.
