[MOD][XXBLG8] Built-in call recording + Non-increasing ringer - Galaxy S III Themes and Apps

First and foremost, thanks and all credit goes to wanam & yoelsd. Had to use a combination of their instructions because:
1) wanam's native CallRecording: Deodexing of SecPhone.odex went fine, smali edits went fine, but kept getting compile errors (even when using only wanam's ICS APKTool). Tried all sorts of combinations of APKTool versions with decompiling/recompiling, nothing worked. Soon after, I realized that even straight decompile/recompile of deodexed XXALF2 SecPhone.apk with no revisions would also result in compile errors. Another method was needed...
2) ...That's where yoelsd's instructions saved the day! Simply modified the smali's in the out folder (also incorporated his non-increasing ringer mod), generated a new classes.dex, copied it back into SecPhone.apk, and overwrote the SecPhone.apk in yoelsd's CWM flashable file.
Results are positive after flashing, call recording and non-increasing ringer working as expected on stock XXALF2.

3) If Odex/stock ROM like myself, delete SecPhone.odex from /system/app.
4) Reboot into Recovery.
5) Clear Dalvik cache.
6) Flash downloaded zip.
7) Reboot... done!
Like I said before, all credit goes to the two gents referenced above, so feel free to send your thanks their way!
(NOTE: Moving forward, I will be doing this mod for whatever stock ROM I'm on as these two mods are a "must have" for me. So, I will post flashable SecPhone.apk's as I move to newer stock ROMs.)

thanks im downloading right now!

does this work on XXALF6...?

love this, but it only seems to record the person on the other end of the phone line, not my voice. any ideas? thanks

Are you sure? I tested it on stock LF2 when I called my voicemail, and it does record both sides. However, the recorded volume of my voice, while still audible, was significantly lower than the other side's, but not sure what can be done about that...

I actually like increasing ringtone. I must be the only one that likes it. Any chance of the mod with just call recording ?

Thnx for the mod dude.
Works great on my stock XXALF6 w/ siyah 1.2.6
Only thing is the recorded volume is low otherwise great work dude:good:

Thanks mate been trying to get this working on my phone for the last week.
Full kudos to you for getting this working

I think there are several other threads with just call recording or non-increasing ringtone, so you can try there.

Great work of all 3 dudes. Found the recordings in /mnt/sdcard/Sounds but the volume is really low, so I wonder what (free) Software to use that can increase the volume and maybe convert the AMR files to MP3.

XXBLFB added.

Can you please make the call recording feature automatic?

XXBLG6 added.

How about BALF3 ?
any of .zip posted will work on LF3 stock rom version ?
i guess no, right ?

No, I'm only posting versions I modded and use myself.

XXBLG6 removed. XXBLG8 added.

does this work on XXBLG1...?

M
Hello cmd512
The Call of the recorder is not important, there are recorders (Call Recorder Galaxy S2 & S3) that enables you to finish saving it or not and are automatic.
* The buttons are very large. To me the most important is the picture.
This is my SecPhone ideal. I put your original and mine.
If anyone ever gets this will make me very happy.

[THEME] Clean TW Lockscreen Mod

Hi everyone!
I didn't like the animated arrows on Samsung's lockscreen, but couldn't find a mod for it here.

Nice m8. Works great.
Edit: Noticed that I still have the text for swiping the screen. Did you remove only english text because mine is in finnish?
What is the name of the file you have edited to remove the wordings?
Nice
Can you also make this for JPM please?

For English, it's under res\values\strings.xml
Do a search in the file for zzz_glass_lock_help_text_2
You can also find other strings.xml files for various languages in other values folders (e.g. values-es)
Is it possible to get this for JM1? I would absolutely love this D:

Also i am a noob with this stuff.. i have no idea how to install this even with instructions in thread.. So i would like to make this into a cwm flashable zip.. with the power menu added. If it's easy maybe someone could tell me how or just cook it up for me?

[MOD] Rotating Phone.apk for XWKE2 XWKE7

Hello everyone
I present you a modified Phone.apk that features auto-rotation not just in the dialpad, but also in the Phone application itself while in call.
Ruksak - Maybe this one helps you feel better?
All the coding/modification work here was done by pawitp.
What is it:
Based on XWKE2/7 Phone.apk (original attached).
Adds autorotation to Phone.apk
Tested on rooted SGS II with KE2/7
All the work was done by pawitp, I only supplied the original files and tested.
Sources : Smali diff can be found here : http://sprunge.us/hPSK?diff and also attached as text file incase link goes down.
Enjoy.
Prerequisites :
XWKE2/7 Rom
Rooted
Busybox
ADB access to your phone via WIRE incase something goes wrong.
You need to understand that if anything goes wrong, You might need to restore the Original (attached) Phone.apk and Phone.odex files, if you fail doing that, you will have to reflash the PDA file of your firmware.
Myself or Pawitp will not take any responsibility of the results of what might happen to your phone while using this MOD.
Install Guide With ADB : (Or if you have Root explorer, you can do this)
Copy Phone - KEX - Modified.apk to your SDCARD, and rename it to Phone.apk (KEX should be replaced with your version, either KE2 or KE7)
Using ADB shell (or any other way) do the following :
Mount system as RW (busybox mount -o remount,rw /system)
Delete Phone.odex from /system/app (rm /system/app/Phone.odex)
copy over the modified Phone.apk to /system/app (cp /sdcard/Phone.apk /system/app/Phone.apk)
sync
reboot
enjoy.

Thanks
That actually looks awesome. Nice work!

Pawitp said he will be very busy, and won't have time for special features.
It is what it is, About installer, there is still no CWM for SGS II, So you will have to use the specified method. Sorry guys.
Maybe ask Pulsar to integrate this into his app
I guess doing it via Root Explorer will work just fine?
Can confirm works perfectly via Root Explorer, so simple, just copy the modded apk first, browse to system/app and mount as R/W then delete phone.odex and paste phone.apk overwriting the exiting one. Set the permissions to match the original and mount as R/O again and reboot.
Excellent mod thanks, this will be very handy when in the car

Same here. Literally only the dialer screen rotates, not the screen where you answer/call somebody.
Maybe this can be fixed because it's quite a shame indeed!

2 ways to do this:
-Add things needed by following instructions in an documentation. (I couldn't find one)
or
-adding my mods to valid KG3-APM files (I couldn't find one)
If you find a mod that has APM AND is for KG3 or an documentation, I could take a look.

APM can be done by calling com/android/internal/app/ShutdownThread;->reboot from android.policy

S-MOD should work on every rom that is based on STOCK KG3, but you may lose some features of that rom.
What do you mean loosing some features?...
If the ROM developer added as an example custom animations or a battery mod you may loose these things cause their files are going to be replaced by S-MOD Files which may not have these "things"

CM Stock Dialer + Smart Dialing

I found this somewhere and finally pushed it. It is the standard ICS Dialer, but now with Smart Dialing FINALLY!
I used Root Explorer.
Rename /system/app/Contacts.apk to Contacts.apk.bak
Copy new Contacts.apk to /system/app
Set Permissions the same as the old Contacts.apk (rw-r--r--) [screenshot below]
Reboot
Requires Root (and RootzBoat 4.0.3 rom?)
Something tells me it was the custom CM9 dialer. So if this is an issue I can remove the links.

I was using this on an RootzBoat AOSP 4.0.3 rom, maybe that's a reason. Have you guys tried just installing it? I also did it on a clean install.
Try:
Clearing cache from Settings>Applications
Fix Permissions
Installing it
etc
I can't see an AOSP rom being all that different from stock.
Off Topic: I think our phones can take screen shots out of the box? I think I've accidentally took a few but never figured out the correct combination of button presses. I'd like to take a few screen shots of the dialer in action. Hopefully I'm not completely out of my mind and the Nexus CAN take screenshots natively.

Thanks, updated first post. Great indirect way to finally figure out what I was really after!
This is an AWESOME feature. MUCH needed. Plus saves me from downloading an alternative. I hope Google implements this into all of their stock dialer builds.
If this does require a custom rom, then I'd say its work it. I'm using RootzBoat which is pretty much pure stock. Doesn't feel any different then when I was on stock 4.0.2.
Worked first time on AOKP. Very nice, thank you for sharing.
Does not work on ARHD 2.1.1, possible because it's 4.02. Moved and set permissions correctly. Oddly enough, if I try to straight up install it it says "there is a problem parsing this package."

SystemUI mods for SM-T815 Deodex AOJ4

Hi,
There are some sweets for deodexed aoj4:
1. 3minit battery mod.
I think everyone knows what does that mean,so no screenshots needed.
Download from Mega
2. Wide notification panel with 10 quick settings buttons
Looks same as stock, but screen wide. Quantity of quick settings buttons increased to 10. See screenshots from next point, looks same, but with stock colors.

3. Wide notification panel with 10 quick settings buttons, black color.
I really don't like stock colors, more over Amoled displays don't like white color for energy saving. That was the reason for me to make dark themed notification panel(sound volume panels also dark).

Flashed your deodexed zip to remove it.
Do you think its because I'm using google now launcher or its something else I should look for

Sorry for late reply.I had no internet access for some period.
I don't think that the reason for stopping is launcher.Look for another reason like some tweaks for SystemUI.

The only man who can answer your question is You.
Unfortunatelly I don't have 810 on hands and cann't test it.
Just make full back up with TWRP and flash required zip. You will see the result and then make a post in this thread so I will add 810 to topic.
Thank you.
Since you already figured out how to change the cot on this version of systemui, care to give me a little help on which values to modify on my t715? I spent all night yesterday on trying to get this to work but I apparently did something wrong.
/system/privapp/systemui/systemui.apk/ is correct, right? Other versions of touch wiz seem to use the drawable-xxhdpi folder, but I can only find that in /vendor/.
I'd just use your apk but I can't afford a broken system today because I have finals in a couple days and I shouldn't even be making this post actually.
katakis1,
First of all you should make your system deodexed.
/system/privapp/systemui/systemui.apk/ is correct, right?
That is correct. But you need to decompile this file to make changes like it was made in my modds.
Unfortunatelly I cannot write complete how-to because of lack of time. But you can find these how-to's on xda-forum.Just use search. Find any how-to concerning tweaks or color changes of systemui.apk for any popular Samsung model(I was using how-to from S5,S6 and Note 4).
3rd option gave error: systemui stopped working. No mods installed, only deodexed.
