[Q] App Backup not showing in Market. Help Please! - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

Hi I used Titanium Backup to back up my apps and some of them arent showing up in my playstore. The apps arent listed under installed (even though they are installed on phone) or under all in my apps. this is a problem because id like the apps to be updated. Also my paid apps arent added to market either. if i want them to be added i have to download via playstore wich means repaying for them.
is there a way to link the apps to the market instead of downloading 47 apps again. or is there another way to update these apps as this is what i want to do.
thanks guys

What rom are you on? Is it showing any apps at all? I've seen it on AOKP where it doesn't show any installed apps in the play store. Clearing data from play store and Google services framework then rebooting (maybe a few times) fixed it.

Did you try what I suggested?

Open titanium backup. Hit menu/market tools/market doctor and follow the prompts.

Certain apps missing in play store (cm9?)

OK so, ever since I upgraded to CM9 months ago, I have found that certain apps are not available to me from the play store. For example, when I type in Youtube, it doesn't even show up as a option to download. When I go to the play store on my desktop, it either says that the app is not compatible with my device, or my device is greyed out in the drop down menu. This is true for several other apps that I have tried downloading. I tried clearing the play store data, but I'm still limited in the apps that show up upon searching. I was able to find a youtube apk elsewhere, but am wondering what the fix is for this cause there are other apps that I want...like zen bound. I just upgraded to alpha 6...same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have put up with this issue for long enough.
I haven't had that issue and am on cm9 and was also on aokp. Which cm9 did you download and from where?

CM9 was from here. It may have nothing to do with CM9, I just can't figure out why so many apps either don't show up at all upon search (e.g., zen bound 2), or they show up in the store, but say that they are not compatible with my device. I though it might be a screen density thing, but when I upgraded to alpha 6, the screen density went back to 240 and the play store is still missing apps like youtube.
Try clearing all data for the play store and then reflashing gapps...?

That did it! Thanks button has been pushed.
Clearing play store data then re flashing gapps did the trick (i.e., zen bound 2 and youtube apps were showing up in play store). However, I woke up this morning and the play store is doing the same thing as before (missing certain apps). For example, I type in "zen bound 2" and get a white screen with the "No results found". I tried the same technique again (as suggested by shultz) and this time it doesn't work. So I'm back to the same problem. Any ideas on what the culprit is here? should I be posting this in the CM9 thread?

yes, I live at 190, but went back to 240 just in case that was the problem (is there a better setting i can try?). I let rom toolbox reset my phone after and i still couldn't get zen bound 2. By the way the above trick (clearing play store data and flashing gapps) briefly worked and i was able to download zen bound 2, but by the time the game was finished downloading, the play store stopped working correctly again....and so I have zen bound 2 purchased, but it won't let me install it cause it says my device is not compatible. This is aggravating.

Google Play error 941?

I'm having a problem installing this game. I cleared data and still not working. Any ideas how to fix it?

Are you trying from the recent apps in gplay. Sometimes it will give errors if the app has been removed from market... But thats only if its being installed from the recent apps.

Google play issues. Missing apps...

Hi all
Having an issue that's been developing over the course of 2 days ... I've slowly been losing apps in Google play... I normally have 70 apps showing as installed.
Earlier today I had low 60s... Now I'm sitting at 39...
I have wiped cache, dalvik etc. Fixed permissions. Cleared app data. Even tried forcing them in titanium.
Idk what else to do here... As a result I'm not getting updates to my apps...
Anyone have any ideas?

That's super strange. What ROM are you using? Have you messed with any system files and/or flashed anything with an "alpha" tag on it?
PA latest 2.99
Franco test kernel r47
Other then that I don't mess with system files...
Actually. I think I know what it is... I changed the DPI etc on Google play... I wonder if that did it...
Give me a bit to test

OK well resetting the DPI etc did nothing...

I don't know what the source of your problem is, but my advice would be to try a new ROM (or a fresh install of the same one - latest version if possible). And while you're at it try using these optimized gapps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012857
I've never had a problem with apps missing, could it be malware?
Change play store and Google play services to standard DPI in paranoid settings, then wipe the data and cache for those apps then reboot once or twice and all apps will be back

I think he meant, that you should wipe the play store and the play services and not all your other apps. Besides did you try Market doctor that comes with Titanium backup?
Under apps tab in paranoid preferences, change only play store app and play services app to the default DPI, then wipe they're data and reboot
Can you see apps as downloadable via pc login to store? If you can then you have a problem with your store app in device. Otherwise it may be some country/carrier restriction. ie, I couldn't install maps and navigation apps from store cause device isn't officially launched in my country yet. PA gapps solved my problem with apps

[Q] Prevent Play Store from Checking for App Update [NOT auto update] [update]

I want to keep google talk and not update (or as i see it downgrade) to the hangouts app. Does anyone know of a way to prevent it from appearing in the play store "my apps" list? I've tried using titanium backup to detach/remove from market with no success. I know I can just deal with seeing it in that list but figured i'd ask.
edit: using "detach from market" in titanium does work, but only until i reboot the phone. upon reboot it will show up again and i can go and detach again. so getting closer to a perfect solution; i feel like that may be as good as it gets. any other ideas appreciated though!
Uninstall your present GTalk and install GTalk from an external source then make it a system app if you want. This may stop showing you updates as you haven't downloaded GTalk from the Play Store.

U can find a Gtalk on mobilism and then convert it to a system app as Sherlock said above. I've had system apps still connect to play store before also, but that's ur best bet.

Stop play store from update itself

Anybody have any idea how to stop play store from being updated automatically, I really like the old play store. I can remember there was something called marketupdater.apk in GB removing which actually stops the play store being updated itself but couldn't find anything like this Shpongle 4.2.2. Any idea guys??
Thanks anyway.

it seems v2.3.6 version does not update itself.. you must install it.
1.your phone must be rooted
2.install "root app delete" app from market
3.delete the the market app named "vending.apk" using "root app delete" app
4.download and install "market v 2.3.6 " from web
that is it! I hope it will be helpful
Thanks for the information. I think the new play store sucks and will be reverting all roms of mine back to this. Two apps for google play is ridiculous bullsh*t. One for the store and one for settings thats 13 megs and expands to far larger upon use. What a joke.
