Hi XDA,
Most of the time I just browse around for my answer but I have not found any on this topic so my first post on the forums will be as such
Is it already possible to flash a custom splashscreen on a HTC Dev Unlocked HOX or is full S-Off required?
Never really had this question before because I was coming from a Desire S and there were lots of threads about custom splashscreens at the Desire S section.
High regards,
oGrady
Nobody knows the answer? Hope someone can atleast show me the right way if the answer is that obvious

Boot animation: rooted phone required
The HTC Splash screen: S-off required
Ok,
then i'll wait for S-Off when ever it hits the HOX thx for replying.

totally owned him!!
I'm not trying to own anyone, the forum has rules we all agree to and in the time it's taken for him to complain he could've gone to ROM development and seen the 3 HD ROMs in there (which have the flip clock)

1. Root your device (i suggest u use unrevoked method)
2. Download a Desire HD Rom (DHD)
3. Flash it from recovery
You'll find detailed guides on how to do this in the Development section
Good luck

Easy man we are all here to help you but searching before asking helps all of us. The reason you should not just go follow 3 steps to root you phone is that when you don't understand what you are changing in the software, you can easily mess something up that we might not be able to help you recover from and we already have had too many cases like that.
Good luck on rooting your phone
Can anyone tell me the Difference in betwwn pvt1/2/3/4/ ship desires
Many people are encountering problems which are on pvt4 ship..
I know the basics that desire shipped and manufactured FOur type of devices PVT1,2,3,4.... the pvt4th is the last segment of the shipment.
The thing is pvt4 created problem while installing several ROMs specially with renny AllinONE with xd2sdx from amurllaz..
MY question is can anyone else ever detected this problem and have a solution.

can you please give exact link... i've searched but couldn't find solution
by the way.. your info is very good
I am not certain if HTC has discontinued or AT&T has just left out a few of the HTC apps, like they did with Laputa (Locations), but I am wondering if anyone can tell me if any of the other One X versions has any of the following apps/widgets.
-HTCFootPrintsWidget
-HTC Ereader
-HTC MyShelf_widget
-HTCLocationsWidget
-HTCNavigateWidget
-TripsWidget
If anyone knows, I'd greatly appreciate a response.
If you can pull them that would be wonderful, if not, could you tell me what rom version & carrier you are using so that I can try to round them up & get 'em modded as needed to work on the AT&T One X.
Thanks Guys & Gals.
Hey gsleon. I dont have an answer for u but I do have a question. I've been looking everywhere trying to find which custom Rom can be flashed on the At&t version of the HOX but I can't find them. Any idea? Thanks in advance and sorry for the question. I'm really having a hard time figuring out which Rom is for what device

top right...click where it says "Find Your Device..."
then start typing "HTC Ins"
or "HTC Desire HD"
not sure which one is your phone.
then the stickies and google should be able to find you all the guides you need, not just for rooting .
i doubt you'll need to open another thread because the question is likely to have been asked and answered a few times...good luck!
Hi people,
In few days' time I'll be a proud owner of the HOX+ international (I'm Polish) and I have few questions to ask you:
1) Do guides regarding HOX such as this apply to HOX+? If not, then what's the difference?
2) Where should I (as a newbie) should look for stable and trusted kernels and ROMs?
3) What are the most important things to check, when choosing a new kernel for my device?
I'm tremendously grateful for all helpful answers and tips :good:
A good place to start would be the on x+ forums: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1814
There you will find guides and roms and also kernels.
