While in a bumpy car ride...not bad ..doesn't compensate for the clouds too well but not bad at all. Taken midday at UTM in Mississauga.

It's information on the video I posted. No need to get snippy that was the closest relevant tag available.
Sooooo what's the purpose of this thread?
Are you kidding me? Go find something better to do. Some people might actually be interested in the video quality of the galaxy nexus. yesterday the video had 100 views today it has nearly 300 clearly has some value

[Q] Port HTC camera

All the smart people out "dev's" Please no one who has never built a ROM 'with all do respect". Do you think HTC ONE camera app will be able to be ported? Or is there a camera barrier that would not even be able to snap 20 photos in 30 seconds or shoot pics while recording? I know the US version HTC ONE has a separate processor, so just curious?
No offense, but this question has already been asked and answered. The answer is a definite no, with the reason being the disparate hardware, as you have surmised.

what camera apps (or mods) are you guys using?

well, coming from the Rezound, the nexus camera has been...quite unimpressive to say the least. comparison shots here:
http://imgur.com/a/r6EOP
the nexus camera seems less focused, less sharp and overall just more blurry. this camera really is just quite bad, IMO, compared to the rest of the phones that came out at teh time (even the motorolas, eww lol) so i'm wondering, what apps are you guys using?
i've been running JB since i got it, and although i love the cool features of the JB camera and the quick shutter speed, i feel the quality of the camera/pictures/videos is not where it should be. therefore, are there any mods to the camera that maybe make it less compressed? (we had a rezound mod that did that, and pics would go from 1.5 mb to 3.5-4 mb, and we made the audio codec encode at a higher bitrate on the videos, along with a higher video bitrate as well)
basically just looking to see what i can do to somewhat make this camera atleast equal or close to my rezound! thanks!
Subscribing. I've been unimpressed with the camera as well and have heard about different camera apps making a difference.
+1 Rezound

Rear Camera keeps on focusing

Hey Guys,
Just bought the Nexus 7 2013 yesterday and everything works pretty smooth as expected. But the camera keeps on focusing while shooting a video. As I am a VFX Compositor I seriously need the camera to be stable. Is something wrong with my device or its just a bug?
If its a bug and google is working on it then fine, else this one is going back to store. Please Help.
Thanks
I think your expectations exceed the capabilities of the device. That said, try another nexus 7 at a retailer and see if yours is defective.
The rear camera is mediocre at best, and the front camera is only suitable for video chats. I only use the rear camera for scanning qcodes and UPC codes. Does a fine job on those.

Ya but it has to be stable. I know the limits of the device. Even Samsung Galaxy Tabs are stable once you hit the record button.
Anybody experiencing the same problem?
I am amazed that nobody is experiencing this problem!!!

I tried recording one time indoor and had this problem. I thought it might be low light issue and haven't tried again in outdoor setting. Same lightening works fine on Nexus 4. Will try some outdoor and see if its light related. Hope this is not hardware issue. I've been lucky so far and have avoided the other issues so far.

I tried one recently. Outdoor doesn't refocus as much but it still has slight refocusing (slight blur but not as bad as indoor). It could be due to subjects moving around and its trying to pick up the focus point.
